We're very sorry to hear you are experiencing some discolouration on your ring.
As is nature of white gold rings as they are, of course, not pure gold, but are an alloy of gold which more often than not is mixed with an alloy whiter in colour. Whatever combination the alloy is, it still remains a yellowy colour. To get the clear white colour, white gold rings are plated with rhodium. Rhodium is highly reflective, extremely durable and does not tarnish easily. We would expect natural erosion to occur over time and understand that the main concern to our customers is with the rhodium wearing off. This can happen prematurely for multiple reasons, including contact with any harsh chemicals or cleaning products etc.
We can of course, re-rhodium plate any white gold ring for you. Please follow our online returns policy to return the ring to us and we will get to work on this right away.

A lovely young lady I believe her name was Kate or Katie wow what a lovely lady.
She was super nice helped me get my 3 clogau rings cleaned. helped me with styles even though I couldn't choose at the time she made me feel so valued even though I felt bad about not choosing. She was an absolute delight and fun to talk to.

Past present future Ring
Received a ring for my birthday 22nd July 2022. Loved it. Was perfect. October 2022 I lost a gem stone. After emailing back and forth fast forward to beginning April 2023 and I took it into Clogau store. (I live 100 miles away from nearest store.) Got a replacement under warranty. Looked like the replacement was a reject as the gold had a very sharp pointy edge and I had damaged clothing. Tried for hours to get through to customer service to no avail. Sent a complaint form through website. Head-office emailed and said I needed to call. I emailed back and refused as after 7 hours they were going to call me. Got ring sent back and replaced. Replacement arrived today. Wore it for 6 hours and gem stone fallen out. I’m absolutely livid so I’ve got to do the whole carry on again. So 3 rings in 10 months and it’s still faulty.

Me and my husband used clogau for all our wedding jewellery we bought both wedding rings necklace earrings and bracelet after getting married my wedding ring was causing a painful rash on my finger I have contacted clogau about four times about this asking if there is anything they can do to help even willing to pay for help I went in store twice sending them two emails gave my contact phone number and told by store staff that I would be contacted but clogau have not contacted me at all this is rude and disrespectful even if the answer was no they can’t help they could of contacted to say so but nothing from them at all I will never buy from them again and I am going to put this on all social media platforms I am disgusted and disappointed with there aftercare they take your money and then ignore you the date is approximate

We recently visited the Carmarthen branch and all 3 members of staff that we met were super helpful, so polite and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble and we were able to spend much time deciding and trying on the rings. Stephanie was very patient and gave us much needed advice. I bought a complete charm bracelet many many years ago , unfortunately lost and unable to claim during transit from Aussie. But paid over £1,600 in 1980’s . Unfortunately when I approach company to purchase what I actually lost , was told all welsh gold is a actual sent to China , then designed. So basically is this actually welsh gold???. As for a company true to our Welsh heritage, should actually be made and designed in our country, to keep our heritage. It’s a absolutely disgusting also a hurtful embarrassment to our culture.

Originally, all Clogau jewellery was manufactured in North Wales, but in 2005 the decision was made to move production overseas in an attempt to fulfil customer demands for shorter manufacturing and delivery times, and to sustain the growth of the brand.
Regarding the Welsh gold content, We are happy to confirm each piece of Clogau jewellery contains a constant percentage of Welsh gold within the gold element of the jewellery. The percentage has always been the same and remains a closely guarded family secret and within the majority of our jewellery. Welsh gold is combined with World gold and usually placed within the rose colour gold element of the jewellery.
We understand that customers and collectors of our jewellery need some assurance that Clogau contains Welsh gold and that the percentage is safeguarded so we have a meticulous quality system of assurance in place which ensures that the percentage is constant. These systems are audited annually by Edinburgh Assay Office and a separate certificate of assurance is issued each year. You can find our Assay statement on clogau.co.uk.

After loving Clogau and an…
After loving Clogau designs and an owner of the Tree of Life wide ring £600 - 800, a bracelet £1200.00, necklace £? earrings £? Plus a few silver and gold items.... Necklaces and bracelets I'm no longer impressed.
I had to return two bracelets after the catch broke shortly after receiving them. I dare not go out in the bracelet for fear of it failing again. Disappointed that clogau is now made in China. My sister has just had her second ring break in under two years.
To sum up clogau.....
POOR QUALITY for the prices charged. The postage to return faulty goods are not refunded which is a poor policy.
I will not be buying anymore items and will ensure I am removed from their mailing list.

Customer service is horrible
Customer service is horrible. Website lacks tax information. Price does not contain VAT. They send a wrong bill and refuse to correct it.
I wanted to make myself a 10th wedding anniversary gift and got myself a charm bracelet. The price on the website was 119£, which corresponds to 154.41€ on the day of purchase. I paid 154.41€ (now you cannot do it anymore) and assumed that as the UK price contains VAT, in my order taxes has been also included. Unfortunately, later I learned they were not. That means that my price was 20% higher than listed because I had to still pay EU import taxes. Mine were especially high because I got a bill from Clogau for 154.41£ although I paid 154.41€. They refused to send a correct bill.

We have looked at the correspondence with our customer service team and we are terribly sorry that we were unable to send a revised invoice as, following a thorough check, we can confirm that the initial invoice was charged correctly. Therefore it would have been fraudulent for us to amend this for you.
Following Brexit, any items sent from the UK to Europe are subject to import duties and taxes. It is the customer’s responsibility to accept delivery of an order from the courier and pay any duties and taxes arising in the destination country to a non-UK delivery address. These charges can range from 5-30% depending on the country and can sometimes include an administration fee. If you refuse to pay any duties and taxes arising in the destination country to clear the goods the courier will be unable to deliver them.
We are really sorry if these additional charges were disappointing, unfortunately we are unable to influence these charges.
We trust the above to be in order and if we can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
Non existent customer service
As with other reviews, customer service is a complete waste of time. I've filled in the returns form 4 times, nothing happens, you submit the form, it goes blank and that's it, no response from clogau. I then tried to reply to the order confirmation email, which it says you can do, still no response. Absolutely dire, they take your money but seems they aren't particularly keen to give it back in a refund. Wouldn't recommend buying on line would rather go to the shop next time, if there is a next time

Disappointing a £900 ring only lasted 5/6 years
Very disappointed I bought a for-get-me-not ring in gold about 5/6 years ago. My grandmother left me money and she loved clogau. So thought the ring was a lovely idea. Well the band snapped and sent away clogau to be repaired only to be told it’ll cost £85!
This was a dress ring and only worn on special occasions surely the ring should have a longer lifeline for £900?

Hello Sue, thank you for getting in touch with us regarding your recent repair. We're really sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the quote to repair your ring.
We can see from our system that your ring was purchased in 2015, which would make the ring 8 years old this year. All of our Clogau items come with a 2 year warranty as we do believe that any manufacturing faults would appear within this time scale. Our repair specialists have assessed the ring and the work required and confirmed that the issues have arisen from general wear and tear over the years. We are unable to see this ring being returned to us previously for any repair work to be carried out.
Unfortunately outside of our 2 year warranty, all repair work would be chargeable and we would like to assure you that this repair work, we have quoted £84.50 for, will be extensive to cover the damage to the ring. We can see that the work required is to de-set the stones on the ring, repair the broken ring shank and re-shape the ring before re-setting the stones, so there is quite a lot of specialist work required to get the ring back looking as good as new for you.
If you do not wish to go ahead with our quote, we can return the ring to you without any repair work carried out free of charge for you.

I received a faulty item. I emailed Clogau 3 times and received no response. I had to open a case with PayPal and then they finally responded, telling me I had to return the item at my own expense. There was also a list on conditions. It’s the last item I will buy from Clogau. The quality and service is no longer there.

So very disappointed with Clogau
Ordered a pair of earrings from Clogau for a present. On the web site, they looked white and blue, Forget me Nots, no description of the stones mentioned, so I contacted the company for confirmation of what the stones were, I was informed they were white and blue Topaz, so I ordered the earrings
The earrings I received were tiny and not only was the middle stone, YELLOW, but they only vaguely resembled the picture on the web site.
Clogau did allow me to return them for a refund, but, at my own expense, a prepaid return label could be supplied, as a gesture of goodwill!
I have purchased jewellery from this company previously and been more than happy with the quality. After this latest experience, wont be doing so again, the quality does not warrant the cost.
NB, in response to Glogau - I received a pair of earings that had very little resemblance to those i ordered, not a slight difference. Buyers beware, this company can supply you with a piece of jewellery very different from what you ordered and maintain it was in the 'editing stage' that means you may end up very disappointed with the piece of jewellery you receive.

Images go through several editing stages before being published and intend to give a visual description of any colours, stones and finer detailing. These may differ slightly, at times, to the product advertised following production.
We also use natural stones in all of our products, unless advertised otherwise, therefore the colour may vary due to the inconsistencies with coloured natural stones.
Unfortunately we do not offer a pre-paid returns service currently. However, when an item is faulty or sent in error we are able to reimburse any postage costs for returning the item to us.

An update to my original review.
Remarkably following my original review my order status changed to indicate my order had been dispatched and a Royal Mail tracking number was provided. The Royal Mail tracking system stated they'd been advised of the order but hadn't received it from the vendor yet. Royal Mail advised if the status didn't change in 48hrs to contact the vendor.
Having contacted Clogau customer service using the email address advised I received a very quick response, a positive change to my previous experience.
I was advised my order had been lost in transport and a refund could be issued or the order resent, however one of the items ordered wasn't in stock. The order was dealt with quickly by the customer service representative, again another vast improvement.
I contacted Royal Mail regarding the lost order. I was advised the order wasn't lost and while a tracking number had been taken out for the delivery the physical items had not been handed to them.
While my subsequent experience with customer services was a vast improvement and the representative I dealt with was very efficient, I would suggest anyone ordering from Clogau take any information provided on their order with a very large pinch of salt and directly contact the delivery firm identified if there are any delays as the information provided by Clogau may not be wholly correct.

Having been a long standing customer, both instore and online, I purchased items in the online sales after Christmas. Money was taken immediately but products still haven't been dispatched two weeks later despite all items being shown as in stock.
I've contacted customer service three times requesting an update on my order. Despite receiving automated emails confirming my query has been received and a response would be provided within 48hrs I've received no updates what so ever.
While I appreciate the Christmas break and Royal Mail issues may cause delays I would expect dome form of response within this time frame.
I would not recommend anyone purchases online at present as it seems apparent orders cannot be fulfilled and customer services are I'll equipped to deal with queries.

Went in to enquire about a necklace my husband bought me last year, he purchased the tree of life necklace with the glass heart, we noticed a crack but couldn’t understand how.
Anyway long story short, we went into your store in broughton to ask how we go about getting it fixed with no receipt we did not expect to get much help.
But the lovely lady (I’m sorry I did not get her name, young girl with long blond hair) took a look at the necklace, asked if we had a bank statement for proof which we did, after showing this and proving it was within 12 months she presented me with a brand new necklace!! No repair work, no hassle, no waiting weeks, I could have cried. Thank you so much!!

Poor customer service and false advertising
I bought the ring we wanted, after my partner getting measured in store by a member of staff the ring came back and it was too big, they then resized it and it after measuring a second time it is still slightly too big. When shopping online there was a 15% discount promotion offer at the time, on checking out there was no area to apply this discount, I continued as I thought there must be a place later on in the checkout process. There was not, instead they gave a free gift which is made of leather which you had to select to compete the process, I contacted them and made them aware of this as both me and my partner are vegan and I found it ridiculous. They have made no efforts to rectify this issue. Very disappointed as we wanted to support a Welsh company and local ethically mined materials. Gutted.
