extremely disappointed don’t hire them
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Consumer Law Group handling my husband’s detained immigration case. We paid thousands of dollars and provided all requested documentation promptly. Throughout the process, communication was extremely difficult. We repeatedly had to call for updates, and I often did not even know who was actually handling his case.
What frustrated me the most was the constant focus on payments. I was repeatedly contacted and asked for additional money, yet my husband, who was detained and desperately waiting to speak privately with his attorney about his case, did not receive the attorney communication we expected. He kept waiting for a private attorney call that never came.
Most importantly, the attorney we were told would represent him did not appear as we expected at the critical court hearing. His bond was denied, he ultimately accepted removal, and he is now in ICE custody in Louisiana awaiting deportation to Brazil.
I understand that no immigration attorney can guarantee a particular result, and my complaint is not simply that his case was unsuccessful. My complaint is about the level of communication, preparation, attention, and representation we received after paying this firm thousands of dollars. From my experience, I felt that collecting payments received far more attention than communicating with my detained husband and our family about his case.
This has been an extremely serious and life-changing situation for our family. Based on my personal experience, I would not hire this firm again.
