The Hartford Courant Reviews 

I'm going to try and keep this short and sweet. I am extremely disappointed with the Hartford Courant service and reliability on having the newspaper delivered on a consistent basis. Furthermore, the promises made by their customer service department cannot be relied upon as they are false in most cases. I truly feel The Hartford Courant does not care about its customers and lacks leadership when it comes to newspaper service delivery.

I have been a subscriber since 1989 and have watched the quality of reporting and customer service decline, particularly in the past few years. My current complaint involves lack of delivery of the newspaper over the past month. About the beginning of March, or late February, 2026, we stopped receiving the paper in the morning. I reported this online with no response. Calls to customer service connected me to someone in the Philippines. Promises to restore delivery sometimes result in a delivery, late in the day, of several back issues, often without the day’s edition. Promises to have the local distribution manager call me go unfulfilled.

Occasionally I am advised by customer service to use the online app in order to read the paper. Recently the Courant changed its online app from one that was only mildly annoying to one that is so unstable that it is impossible possible to read it without it crashing constantly.
