I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Crew Experience Lower Richmond Road, Putney. 01.08.2026

Due to several road closures, I arrived 13 minutes late for my appointment. When I got there, my stylist wasn't with another client, yet he simply looked at me and signalled to the receptionist that he wasn't going to see me. Instead of trying to accommodate me, the receptionist offered me another appointment 2.5 hours later as a "one-off exception."

I travel quite a long way to come to this barbershop, and this level of customer service was incredibly disappointing. I told them it would be the last time I used their services.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I had been going to the same barber there, Mr. Ross for five years and tipped around £10 every single visit. After years of loyalty, I expected at least a little understanding and appreciation.

Unfortunately, this experience made it clear that customer loyalty means very little here. I will be taking my business elsewhere and cannot recommend a place that treats long-standing customers this way.

The Crew Experience truck came to our (Faith In Action Merton Homeless Project) Wellbeing Day on Friday and I was astounded by Samuel’s upbeat kindness and understanding of our service users. He treated them with such dignity and humanity it was beautiful to see. Samuel worked tirelessly on the day and at the end he was still smiling. The guys loved the experience, the cuts were superb and they came out looking fantastic and walking a little taller. I cannot thank you enough Samuel! Please come back soon 😁

Fine haircut. Everything as it should be — with some philosophy thrown in too.

This place is totally underrated - they cut well, spend time with you to make sure your happy - hell, it’s an experience I think worthy of any gent. I would suggest going to anyone whose not tried at least once! You’ll change your mind, I did (ps v cool music playing too!)

Not the first time we've brought our 2-year-old son. The staff at Crew (Putney) are always so patient and super quick. Between the aquarium, the superhero apron, and the calm haircut -- plus the lollipop at the end -- you've got a happy kid, and happy parents.

I must say that Gabriel gave me an excellent haircut and beard trim yesterday. So well judged. He is assured and discreet as a barber. There is a quiet understanding between us which I appreciate after a busy week. I’ll be back, but he knows that..
