Cycle2work or Cyclescheme
Accessed cycle2work through my employer for £300 at Halfords, I wasn't aware cycle scheme is the same people so when I finally got my voucher 1 month later it could only be used at decathlon instead of Halfords. I went online and purchased a bike from decathlon and I'll pay the extra but it was declined, I spoke with customer help who advised I chose the wrong store, I was meant to choos decathlon online which is the bottom option. I changed this and re-orderd and again it declined, I called back and they said I had to choose the physical local shop Halfords which I had first chose. This is after I initially received my email which stated I had to put my mobile number into the website before I could access the vouch, this was impossible to do and had to call to get help. After all this I got Feb up and cancelled the voucher. Cyclescheme is a good idea but the way it's run is awful. No direction, no explanation why voucher declined, no explanation why I got decathlon when I asked for Halfords so to date I have no new bike and instead will borrow money now to buy a bike, please do not waste you time on this as it's the most frustrating and pointless company ever.

As you have left no further information we cannot determine where you initially ordered your cycle to work from unfortunately.
Cycle2work (Halfords) and Cyclescheme (us) are two different companies, so we cannot comment on their process in this case. However, when we release a certificate to an employee, the correct retailer name does need to be stated for the system to be able to process the voucher.
HMRC rules from 2020 will not allow you to add money to your certificate due to dual ownership, which could have been the issue you were having.

Waste of time and source of stress...
The process to get a certificate is okay but if your order gets cancelled/changed then you're on your own to push people to read/send emails it is a complete waste of time and doesn't worth for couple hundred quid so called saving. It has been a month back and forth with the shop then another ~2 weeks with Cyclescheme to get them an email from the shop about cancellation. It is extremely annoying to manage a process as a customer, I don't recommend it unless you go for a bike which you're 100% sure you will get it any glitches then you become a customer service representative for yourself.

Are you referring to an order cancelled with the retailer? If so, you would have to request the retailer contact us directly in order to confirm cancellation. Cyclescheme have a duty of care with your personal information, as does the retailer. This means we cannot contact them directly on your behalf due to GDPR, and if we did they would be under obligation to not speak to us.
We hope this may shine some light onto the potential issues that arise is this situation.
