Sorry to hear how you feel about your experience with Danbro.
Please rest assured, the only money we retain as an umbrella company is our margin, which is competitive with the market. Any other deductions from your contracted rate are either a) your pension contributions, or b) what we are legally required to deduct and pay to HMRC.
Because of this, your take-home pay with Danbro Umbrella should be very similar to what it would be with any other compliant umbrella company.

Changing to Umbrella is so easy with Danbro, I was changed over within an hour of filling out the registration.
I spoke to a lovely Danbro representative this morning, by the name of John Harris. He was very polite and explained the whole process clear and precisely. I can not find any fault in the process of changing from PAYE to Umbrella.

I have used Danbro before coming back…
I have used Danbro before coming back into contracting. I have always found them helpful and good with my money/wages/taxes etc and am happy using their services again with my new contract.

Fantastic Customer Service Team
From the start the team at Danbro provided one of the best support and customer service.
Emails replied to very quickly, going into details about the best way to manage my take home pay and making alterations to accommodate my needs.
I honestly thought a big company like Danbro would have a very slow and impersonal service, I was wrong, response times were like working with a small family run business, quick and the team always spoke to you like they see you everyday.
I have one gripe and that's the use of the apprenticeship levy, which according to the government should be accessible to employees at any time, Danbro put blocks on this even though legally as an employee regardless of the term of contract you should be able to have access to, as you're paying for it...but this doesn't have anything to do with the team but how the company operates.
Overall the team are 5*
Company 3/4* due to the inability to use the apprenticeship levy.

I understand your frustrations regarding the apprenticeship levy, however please be assured that this is standard practice for any umbrella company. This is because, as an employment cost, the deduction to pay for the levy is taken from your contracted/assignment rate, rather than your gross pay.
