Terrible delivery

Terrible delivery, failed twice despite us being home for both windows. Placed an online order on Dec 23, paying a higher than usual delivery fee. Meant to arrive Dec 28 but didn’t. Contacted live chat to have it rescheduled, which they couldn’t do before Dec 31 and couldn’t say what time ahead of that. Received notice it would arrive between 1.30-5.30pm NYE. We waited at home with our gates and door open. Delivery partner claimed to have attempted delivery at 4.36pm, which seems a lie. Contacted live chat to be advised next possible delivery was Jan 3 so I cancelled and have requested a refund. It has left us without planned drinks for NYE. I will never use their delivery service again.

Do not order online from Dan Murphy’s

I have been expecting a gift from Dan Murphy’s for over a week now. Because someone needs to be there a sign I’ve had to organise having an adult here and then two hours before the delivery window I get another text saying sorry not today. You can’t talk to anybody because they only have a bot Absolutely pathetic. I can have an order delivered from MILKRUN in 20 minutes.

My order for Xmas still hasn’t been…

My order for Xmas still hasn’t been delivered. No way to contact customer support to resolve or find out what the problem is. The whole experience is really poor from the online order process to actually getting things delivered. Shocked this is Dan Murphy. Never again.

Christmas time and all I wanted to do…

Christmas time and all I wanted to do was order online and pay for a pick up.
Shit site won't even allow to enter payment details so how TF are you supposed to do business.
Excactly the same thing happened last xmas '24 so obviously Murphys doesnt give AF!!
Bullshit chat function as well as I spent 2 hours waiting to be connected to a 'human' and stayed the whole time as second in the queue.

Went in to do shop for Christmas …

Went in to do shop for Christmas and wow young lady named Emma was so helpful instead of me taking ages to find all I needed she helped me all around the store so well . Whilst instore she was so friendly to all customers and other staff treated everyone with the biggest smile and knowledge made mine and others shopping experience a pleasure thanks Emma well done and thankyou

Dan Murphy delivery failure

Ordered days in advance. Planned a 2 hr window for Christmas delivery at $9..90. Endeavour Delivery and Dan Murphies made a mistake and the order will arrive on Dec 28th. As this was 1 day after we return home I had to cancel the order. Never using Dan Mirphies delivery or Endevour Delivery again.

I bought an unusual bottle of whiskey…

I bought an unusual bottle of whiskey for a present. I received an update when I purchased and another a day or 2 later to say it was dispatched. When it then didn't arrive I check the tracking, which indicated that a label was created, but it hadn't actually been received at Australia Post. It was a nightmare trying to follow up. Each time I used the online assistant because there is NO PHONE NUMBER. Each time they said it had to followed up further and a member would "reach out to me". On each occasion I heard nothing. It took another 2 weeks for them to agree that it was never sent, and by that stage it was too late to be used as a present. I will use other online stores from now on.

Be very careful ordering online

Be careful buying online. The website will reset to standard if you have chosen a specific time slot. Only realising this after finishing the order i was told - after being in a queue to speak to a human agent - to cancel and reorder. I reordered (for next day delivery between 12 and 2pm) and the website reset three times from timed delivery to standard during this process. As I didn't get an email confirming the cancellation I had to jump on to the live chat again... wait in a queue again... to be told it was cancelled. I then got an email saying "congrats its packed" - then i got online again... in a queue again. Assured it was cancelled again but it takes a day or 2 for email confirmation to go through. When i asked how we can ensure it doesn't ship in meantime they said they did a manual stop. Guess what... then i get an email saying "congrats your order has shipped" - on the live chat, wait again, you know the drill... apparently this person did a manual stop (i thought that had already been done twice) - but they cant send me an email confirmation because... reasons. I asked for a phone number for a manager to discuss and... they ended the chat.

Delivery service is terrible. Clearly notice that management don’t coordinate with their customer inquiry team and live chat is useless.
Do t use their delivery.

Tried to call Dan Murphy’s today…

Tried to call Dan Murphy’s today because the special on their site wasn’t on my app.
Rang the number told I had to go online, did that got a bot who transferred me to another chat bot now I’m in a queue of 22 people to talk to a bot.
Is this because the people can’t speak English?

Dan Murphy's Online Delivery. A Masterclass in frustration.

• First order ( November 29, 2025):
o Delivery promised December 1, 2025 between 4.00pm and 6.oopm
o SMS at 4:10pm: “Sorry, our driver wasn’t able to deliver…”
o Live chat queue: 77th in line, 70 minutes wait.
o Told driver cancelled delivery and my order returned to Dan Murphy’s Bateau Bay.
o 5.25pm a new SMS saying Uber driver 9 minutes away.
o Following the tracking provided by Uber I went to street level to meet the driver.
o Driver went to wrong building (38 instead of 48).
o Driver had unloaded 4 of 5 cartons before I could point his error.
o Reloaded his car and proceeded to our building.
o No assistance carrying cartons to level 6 apartment.
• Second order (December 5):
o Paid immediately, delivery promised Dec 8 (4–6pm).
o Dec 7: email from Dan Murphy’s — “Your products have left the store…”
o Dec 8: Australia Post email — “in transit delivery today.
o No delivery.
o Dec 10: Australia Post email — Your order arrived at Lisarow depot, delivery “today”… but also “expected Dec 11–12.”
o Dec 12: live chat (queue 37). Told “delivery should be next week.”
o Not happy with such a vague answer I asked to speak with a Manager.
o Manager contradicted this information stating part of the order is at Lisarow (19 km away), part at Botany (113 km away) and delivery may take longer due to Australia Post being busy..
o Suggested “solution” by the Manager at Dan Murphy’s: wait for delivery, refuse delivery, wait until Australia Post returns the goods and then wait weeks for a refund. In the interim, re-order via Click & Collect, pay again while waiting for the first refund and collect the order from Bateau Bay.
o If pick up was an options why not arrange for me? Bateau Bay is 6km from my home.
o Eventually told delivery “early next week.” Week commencing December 15, 2025.
o Dec 13: Australia Post email @ 11.27am — delivery “today.”
o Stayed home, clear view of street. At 1:22pm: email from Australia Post “No one in attendance.” False claim. Parcel redirected to Lisarow collection point. THERE WAS NO ATTEMPT TO DELIVER.

• Third attempt (December 12, 2025):
o Dec 12. Placed a small order (one bottle) Tried 60-minute delivery agreed to pay the delivery fee.
o At checkout I was told the earliest delivery will be post-Christmas.
o Cancelled, re-ordered via Click & Collect.
o Went to Bateau Bay to collect.
The Verdict
• Two delivery orders: two frustrating failures.
• Third attempt: another potential failure.
• Only Click & Collect worked.
• Dan Murphy’s web page and information is hopeless.
• Live chat and staff (Manager who returned my call) all appear to have the ability of “Not letting the truth get in the way of a good story.”
• Dan Murphy’s delivery system is broken.
• Australia Post compounds the mess with false “attempted delivery” claims.
• Customers are left waiting, chasing, and expected to pay twice to assist Dan Murphy’s.
• Not sure if Dan Murphy’s or Australia Post are the teachers of the lies and deceit.
• “Old saying – He who expects little is very rarely disappointed. Maybe started by Dan Murphy’s or Australia Post started this as a warning to consumers?

I use to use Dan Murphys all of the…

I use to use Dan Murphys all of the time and suddenly we have to present our licences that get scanned by some unknown person onto some unknown app and goes who the hell knows.
I am nearly 60 and grey. Surely the Sherpa or Uber driver can confirm I am of age.
Dan just lost several thousands in sales, as I use to use for my business as well.

Sherpa deliveries are unreliable

Sherpa deliveries are unreliable, won’t read instructions or don’t turn up.
I tracked my driver who clearly cannot use the app. They turned right instead of left. They had instructions to call my number so I could meet them down stairs. This did not happen. I tried to flag the driver down who speed past me and clicked non deliverable. Therefore, they make a few dollars even if delivery is not made and I have to go out which I was trying to avoid. This is definitely the last time. Always issues with Sherpa

Don’t believe the hype about their low…

Don’t believe the hype about their low prices.
Shop around.
You’ll see that other places are actually cheaper.
Their website doesn’t work properly either.
There’s no one to call if there’s a problem.
Their chat is about an hour wait.
Had a problem with my account, but they’ve taken days to rectify it.
They’ve lost my business.
The whole experience is awful.

Delivery bunglers

Dan Murphys deliveries are good when everything is going right but if something goes wrong they are incapable of fixing it. My delivery got delivered to someone else - you would think that would be easy to fix - doesn't seem like it. I just want my order, but tonight a poor guy knocked on the door and told me he was asked to pick up an order delivered to the wrong address. I explained that i was still waiting for my order and that Dans should have sent him to the other address - where my order was. I asked him if he would still be paid as he hadn't collected anything and he said no. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for my order

Dan's in Frankston

Dan's in Frankston - incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful. Just went in to ask a question and the staff, who were talking to each other, were clearly annoyed by the inconvenience of a customer. Never used to be like that.

Staff used to be so friendly

Staff used to be so friendly at the South Morang store.
Last two times a male staff looked as though he wasn't happy being there. Never acknowledged me. I asked him for a box to put my loose wine in. Just put it on the check out counter and walked away.
Usually they would always say Hi & pack it asked did I need any help.
Will try Epping next time.
Not good.
