Outstanding customer service.
I did an online order for Christmas drinks - wine, bubbles and a carton of beer. When the courier delivered my order, he mentioned that one of the cartons seemed to be leaking. I had a look and it was the carton of beer that was leaking. It also had a jagged hole in the side of the carton. When I opened it one of the bottles was smashed, it was the bottle right in line with the hole. I looked on the Dan Murphy's website and my heart sank a bit when I saw that I needed to use their chatbot thing, I don't do well with chatbots! But I got myself a cuppa and started what I thought would be a long, drawn out process. Nope! The customer service person (Julia) was absolutely lovely, she apologised for the damaged delivery and offered me a replacement or a refund. I said I'd prefer a replacement, and Julia asked if I was going to be home that night (I was) as if I was she would arrange delivery for that same night. Julia also said I would receive an email with details of the replacement order and a tracking number for it. The email arrived within 10 minutes of finishing the chat, and there was another apology. Less than 2 hours later a replacement carton arrived. Now in my, and I would think anyone's book, that is outstanding customer service. Thanks Julia and Dan Murphy's, love your prices, your range and I'm tickled pink with your customer service as well :-)

Avoid Dan Murphy's Gifting Hub. Order never delivered. You can not telephone to enquire but must send a message via a 'live chat' that has no one at the other end and they endeavour to get back to you in the next business day. Absolute rubbish customer service left me embarrassed with the gift recipient.
Price match guarantee scam
Went in store and grabbed two 700ml bottles of jack Daniels. $54.95 each. I asked for the price match of an online store that was selling jack for just on $47. manager said we can match it but have to charge me for delivery! I said are you serious? She said the other store is an online store I said so what, that meets the conditions of price match, its on Murphys website. Absolute disgrace as a manager and rude as. So much for dud Murphys price match. Fair trading should investigate this mob. Anyone notice Murphys doesn't have the decency to respond or reply to these complaints. I haven't been back since
The website is totally unusable
The website is totally unusable, you cannot search, you cannot use the drop down menu categories, whatever you try to press it either comes up with 0 result or it hangs and you have to start over. I don´t think I have ever experienced a worse website!

It seems the crew in Toowoomba aren't focused on the issues of delivery.
I've ordered some grog, and have to wait 3 plus days for delivery?! Are you "skitting" me?! I live five minutes from Dan's. It's only because I'm laid up with this cancer "tish", that I feel it's best I don't drive.
But here's the thing. I ordered my groceries from Wooworths (they're also just there near Dan's) and they got the bloody stuff to me in under an hour...WTF?!!!
Will someone get someone to do something. If I had a wheelbarrow, I could do better than the chosen delivery crew.
Just pathetic IMO...but then, it is Queensland, isn't it!

Delivery service is the worst
Their prices are excellent. Their online ordering system is good. Their selection of products is very good. However, all of this means absolutely nothing if the delivery service is garbage. And believe me, their delivery service is the worst I have ever encountered. I have had parcels from China, the USA and England delivered quicker that Dan Murphy's. So if you want your drinks in a timely manner, go to a physical store. If you want to die of dehydration waiting for your order, use the on line Dan Murphy's site.

Could not believe what I saw
I was waiting outside for a taxi and it was around closing time for the store 9 pm Saturday 19 th October. A car pulls up very fast and out gets this visibly intoxicated person and maybe on other things. Couldn't even walk straight to the store. As he entered I alerted the security staff who was a university student and did not look like he was qualified to be a security officer. He was extremely laid back and couldn't care less he was really drunk. I watched how he just checked his id at checkout. He comes back out and can't even enter his car. He opens the front door then realises the back door needs opening to put his alcohol in. He then stumbles into the car and speeds at huge speed out of carpark. Anyone walking on that street could of been run over. Then the taxi driver I am waiting for pulls up. He ignores me and gos and buys alcohol while he is working then gets back in taxi and drives off.

Do not purchase from gifting hub, received message to say gift sent, but to wrong state, then received acceptance email to say delivery to correct address next day and re confirmed correct address, 6days later no gift and asked to send further $3.30 after postage had already been paid. Live chat is of milo use, email support is even worse, what a shambles… so not gift or refund , wish I had never bothered 😢

North Ryde. Bombastic, rude and arrogant manager wasted an hour of my carer’s time over trivial issue.

Thanks to a terrible store manager Jack at Brighton Dan Murphy's who has no concept of customer service. I would think long and hard about letting an employee like this run a store on busy weekends.

They sent me a verification code.

I chatted with their Agent Harry, who suggested I not make repeated requests for a new verification code.
I suggested Harry work on a user-friendly website.
I FAILED to make Harry understand that telling me the code his useless website sent was invalid was not user-friendly. He repeated his comment, presumably as a kind of verbal sandbag because he couldn't take any more criticism.
When I asked Harry if he knew of any problems with Google Chrome (the browser I was using) this was all too difficult for Harry's head. Harry hung up on me!
I tried to accept my gift
I tried to accept my gift. Website said being updated, try again. Tried again on Monday and Tuesday showed already accepted or expired. Had to tell the person who sent it to get their money back. 5 weeks later received reply to my original contact was sent email that it was wrapped and ready. Poor service. Never received.

Actual service is excellent. Finally! App is an ugly nightmare to use. Delivery time changes repeatedly from "immediately" to "two days". Impossible to change or cancel without closing app and "chatting" on the website.
I will never shop again from Dan so shome kind of respect our at least a voucher our two never shop here again…

No delivery despite paying for it
Paid extra to select a delivery time. It did not deliver. Spent 63 minutes on the online chat. Each time I came to the top of the queue the Person ended the chat totally unresolved and totally pissed off
Did not receive order today as promised!!
Terrible service! Did an online order $467 & paid for 2 hour window to be there. Then received text it was a different time. No phone numbers to phone. Spent a very long time talking to a robot to eventually have someone phone me back. Said if they can't deliver in the 2hr window I would cancel order & order from elsewhere. Assured me they would deliver today in the 2hr window. Waited! But NO delivery!! Now see I have received a different order number for tomorrow! NOT today!! What is going on Dan Murphys? Needed the items tonight!! And too late to get large quantities from another store delivered. Will be using other liquor stores from now. Too big and too faceless.
Religious statements, uniform policy Dan Murphys
This afternoon i picked up an online order at the Doncaster East store. Dan Murphys appears to have no staff uniform policy or company uniforms. They can wear whatever they like. The male serving at the cash register was quite dismissive and aloof. He was wearing a hoodie which had a religious message printed in bold on it. I was astonished quite frankly given our family companies have a strict uniform policy. You wouldn’t know who were staff as they are all wearing different clothing. To be confronted with this regardless of my belief's, if any, is unacceptable. This is the last time we will buy from Dan Murphys regardless of price
