I purchased this in my usual size after checking the measurements provided, but unfortunately it is much tighter than expected and uncomfortable on me. I am a size 16 and would suggest ordering one or even two sizes larger. It is especially disappointing that there is no option to exchange or return it when the sizing isn’t right. I like the style, but would have been much happier if I had sized up.

The quality doesn’t feel as good as described and the sizing guide is completely off. To top it off partly my fault for not reading the return policy carefully enough, I had to pay to return items with Australia Post and to return the items via their website was the most frustrating of all. They kept trying to make me exchange my items.. my fault but never again. Steer clear.

I bought 5 items from Dharma Bums. When they arrived I tried all items on. Of the 5 items- 3 had fit issues- and looked terrible on me. I contacted Dharma Bums via email as there is no phone number to contact them on- to see if I could get a refund on these items. I was advised that I could not get a refund. I could exchange the full price item but the sale items were final and could not be refunded or exchanged.
This is not what Australian Consumer Law says.
I have had to call my credit card provider and dispute the transaction for these items three items.
I have also contacted the ACCC and lodged a complaint.
The goods are in original condition and gave all the tags on them.
My biggest disappointment is that this is an Australian company- I would like to support - but given my experience I can not.
I buy a lot of my clothes online- every reputable store allows return of goods if they do not fit, as long as the goods are in original condition. When a store is online only- you have no way of knowing if the item will fit you, so you need to have returns.

I bought and returned one skirt due to wrong size. I was given credit back so ordered the same skirt with a larger size.although the size now fit, the skirt doesn’t look like what I saw on DB website, it looks cheap, too long and wide. When I wear it, it looks like I am wearing a garbage bag. Left a one star review but cannot be seen online. Now I know their reviews appear manipulated so cannot be relied upon. I won’t shop at this business again.

As a new customer, I was disappointed by the returns experience.

Over the past three months I have placed three orders with this brand, spending more than $550 in total. The items I returned were not faulty; one simply wasn’t the right fit, and another was a repeat purchase in a different colour that didn’t suit me.

The original order incurred a $12 shipping fee, and returning the item required a further $13 shipping cost. Despite this, only store credit is offered rather than a refund. This means I am effectively paying shipping twice and still being required to spend the returned funds with the brand.

When I contacted customer service to provide feedback about the return shipping cost, I was told that I should have purchased the additional “free returns” option at checkout. While this may be the company’s policy, it felt like a missed opportunity to show goodwill to a loyal new customer who had already made multiple purchases in a short period of time.

Had I been communicating with a person, I would have welcomed a conversation and perhaps a gesture such as waiving the return shipping fee. Instead, it became apparent that I was receiving responses from an AI assistant, which left me feeling unheard and unwilling to continue the discussion.

As a result, I now have approximately $200 in store credit that I will use reluctantly, primarily because the cost of returning the items makes the alternative uneconomical.

The products themselves are good, however the sizing/fit is inconsistent especially in the pants. The returns policy and customer service experience have left me hesitant about making future purchases.
