Digital Zen is a great productivity booster. It allows me to manage my time and choose how long I spend on specific tasks, either by whitelisting the apps that I need or blacklisting the websites that lead to distractions. I have definitely noticed an improvement in how I spend my time on my computer. It allows me to take back control and use my device how I want to use it—not getting stuck in the infinite loop of social media feeds—making space for more intentional pursuits.

It has presets for specific scenarios and the UI is easy and intuitive. It allows enough flexibility for anyone who wants to be more intentional with their time and how they use their devices.

One of the biggest wins for Digital Zen is the ability to use the app on Linux—all the other productivity management tools either work only in the browser or are limited to macOS and Windows. The support staff is speedy and very helpful. They're open to criticism and feedback on how to improve the app and user experience, which is really nice to see in a world dominated by Big Tech.

Not only is their customer service incredible. Their app will save you from that 1 TikTok video that turn to a 4-hour Doom Scroll. I have never been this focused and within a week my Tiktok & Youtube addiction had varnished. They even spoke to me understood my situation and offered me a discount.

This app is perfect as I have both windows and linux machines. It has really helped me with getting my work done. I love the customizability for website restrictions. If possible, I would like the cost to change settings to be bumped upto 10-15$. An Ios version would be nice too.

I’ve been using DigitalZen for a while now, and it’s hands down one of the best focus tools I’ve ever tried. The app is intuitive, effective, and really helps me stay on track.

Really fast responding support, they were able to fix a small bug I reported in just a couple hours. Also, I really appreciate that the app has full Linux support unlike other apps of this kind.

I’ve been using DigitalZen on my Mac for a few weeks now and it has honestly changed how I work. Setting up focus sessions and blocking distracting sites is dead simple, and I love that it syncs smoothly with my workflow without slowing anything down.

Customer support was super friendly and helped me tweak settings to fit how I work.

If you’re a Mac person who actually wants to get stuff done without constantly flipping between tabs, DigitalZen is worth trying.

Their superb customer service deserves a 5/5 on its own but they seem to be working hard maintaining linux (even though hyprland isnt supported and hence many of the feature dont work - but this was specified by the team and they have said they are looking into supporting hyprland as well) Great company and great app

Very good app so far. A bit tricky to get up and running and get it doing what you want it to do (I had to reach out to support to figure some things out, although they were very helpful and responsive; I think I also had to uninstall and reinstall at one point early on), but works well once you get to that point.

I like the different options that you have to choose from in order to restrict things (code, cooldown, friend, money, or schedule) - the flexibility to set up which one you think will work best for you is really handy. The one thing I would change here would be some longer cooldown options (2 hours is currently the maximum).

The flexibility to create different categories to block, using preset categories, websites, or even keywords, is great. Years ago I used K9 Web Protection, which allegedly had keyword blocking, but it typically didn't work. DigitalZen's keyword blocking is 100% effective as far as I can tell.

Another useful thing is that you can add websites/keywords/etc. to a block category without unlocking it (but can't remove them without unlocking), which is well thought out.

And it works on Linux unlike all of the other similar apps.

The support agent was straight forward and helpful, answering my questions in regards to DigitalZen's website blocking features and even restarting my trial session for the app, so that i may try it out myself.

Very responsive and helpful support. When I reported a bug with their browser extension, they initially couldn't replicate it; but a few hours later, they figured it out and fixed the issue.

Not only is the app really useful and easy to use. But, when I noticed a bug with how the app connected to my Brave browser extension, I reported it and they had discovered the problem and scheduled an update for the next day. The update fixed the problem and they gave me an extended premium free trial as thanks. Very generous. Big thanks to Maya for the great customer service :)

When I switched from Win11 to Linux I found myself in need of a new software-blocker for my sleep hygiene. DigitalZen seemed like the best option and I bought a lifetime license. The software had trouble blocking Steam and Grayjay so I sent a bug report, and while it took some back and forth and a few updates to iron out the problem I am incredibly impressed with their response time and communication.

This is a great app! Despite its bugs, I was able to use this for my addiction.

Fantastic product. The only "focus" application I've found to work on Linux. I came from Windows and used a different product (FocusMe) but it didn't work even though they said it would.

The customer service is A+ as I've reported bugs and always gotten a response back in a few days.

The customer support was great. I got timely responses and got DigitalZen working very shortly after. It has only been a week but I've so far very much enjoyed the service and think it will be very beneficial for me going forward. Thank you!

Over the years, I've used a number of focus tools, but DigitalZen feels truly unique. The user interface is simple, easy to use, and never intrusive; it simply performs its intended function. The customer service was particularly noteworthy to me; it was prompt, helpful, and obviously run by caring individuals. From the user interface to the entire experience, everything seems well-considered, and using it on a daily basis has been enjoyable. Anyone searching for a trustworthy focus tool should definitely check it out, especially if you're using a Mac
