Ridiculous shipping. Refusal to cancel and refund.
They do not communicate about shipping delays on the front end. I called to see where my order was and I was told it would be shipped by the weekend. It was not. 12 days and no shipping update is not okay. They refused to cancel the order because it was already released to the warehouse. Extremely frustrating. I love their shoes, but I will not buy from the company directly anymore.
Don't bother
I used to love Dolce Vita, they were honestly one of my go-to brands. But over the past year or two, the customer service has completely gone downhill.
Orders are not shipped within a reasonable timeframe, and what’s worse is their website doesn’t reflect accurate stock. You can place an order, thinking something is available, only to be left waiting with no real updates, and it honestly feels like they have no intention of providing any meaningful updates at all. Then, out of nowhere, they’ll claim the item is “low stock” even when it’s a newer item that was just listed, which makes the whole situation even more frustrating and confusing.
Customer service reps are not helpful either. It often feels like they don’t actually know what’s going on, and you end up getting vague or inconsistent answers just to move the conversation along. The most frustrating part is the email communication is you’ll receive the same copy-and-paste response from “different” representatives, which feels dismissive and honestly a bit gaslighting when you’re just trying to get a clear answer about your order.
It’s disappointing because the brand used to be reliable, but now the overall experience just isn’t worth the hassle.
Horrible and shady business
Horrible and shady business. I first ordered two pairs of boots to come in time for my holiday. I ordered overnight shipping, they came 5 days later and not in time for me to take with me. I called and they were like ohh sorry here is your money back for shipping. Then I told them I wanted to return them. They sent me the return slip, but they shipped them in 2 different boxes. I asked for two different return slips and they refused. I got to Fed Ex and Fed Ex told me they cant accept the same label for two different boxes, the guy gave me a huge box that fit both of their original boxes and was very helpful. I told him to take it up with Dolce Vita as they dont care, and he said yea we have nothing but issues with them. So right there another red flag. My return was sent and delivered on a Friday. After a week no reimbursement, someone said ohh I see we have it it shouldnt be long. We are going on almost 3 weeks now, of no reimbursement. I emailed again and now all of a sudden they can issue it later today. What type of scam are they running here ? where they think customers wont notice that they never got their hundred of dollars reimbursed ? 3 weeks? and the only time they say they can refund it immediately is when the customer reaches out ? also said this will take 2-3 days to reflect on my account once they process it. In conclusion they are not trustworthy on any level. I believe I will be monitoring my account for the $285 they owe me, which should have been reimbursed to me over a week ago, and if it is not here in the next 3 days ill be filing a fraud charge with my bank, the attorney general, and the BBB. Should be ashamed of yourselves.
They take your money then don’t send the shoes.
Placed an order for 2 pairs of shoes on 9/25/25. Broke into 4 payments that I paid in full in November. I received boots in October, but did not receive the flats. I have contacted them several times. They didn’t tell me until 2/4/26 that the flats are out of stock and I haven’t been charged. I contacted several times to say I paid for the shoes and I need a refund. They tell me that since the order is so old, they can’t give me a refund and only offer a store credit. This is their fault not mine. They essentially stole $50 from me. Horrible company.
Order Not Shipped After Over a Month
I placed an order on Jan. 22, 2026, and by Feb. 24, 2026 it still had not shipped. I contact customer service once and was never able to connect with an agent. I tried again a few days later and the agent just told me that it was processing and gave no explanation for the delays. The customer service agent even confirmed that the item was not backordered, so there is no reason it should take over a month to ship one pair of shoes. I ended up cancelling the order and requesting a refund. Let's hope they actually give me my money back.

I ordered a pair of tennis shoes on 02/06/26 and no movement on my shipping. It's now 02/14/26. I will never order from them again. It shouldn't take that long for shipping.

They lie to customers. On the web it says free standard shipping with the app, there’s no mention of a $100 limit. Incredibly misleading and wrong.

Had these boots for a couple years. Worn rarely as i live in Florida. Took a trip north and started seeing debris on floor. Finally realized inside of boot fell apart. Sent pics to company and they said sorry too old for them to do anything. Awful.

Wow. I really didn't understand that ANY retail company was THIS bad.
They act like merchandise you order expecting to get it but is actually backordered for almost 3 months. Then, they are completely rude about it...like really rude.

Be aware that they sell these boots without having them in stock. You purchase them and then they wait two weeks and end up canceling your order. I ordered the wine color in a 7 and two weeks later they canceled it saying there was something wrong with their system. I then saw they had a 6.5 in stock so I purchased that instead because I was actually sizing up by ordering the 7. It had been 6 days and I still didn’t get an email saying they were shipped, so I looked on their website to see if they still had the boot in stock, or if they were going to cancel my order again. Their website showed the boot in stock. I just received another cancellation! They were still selling a boot they didn’t have to customers 6 days after I purchased! So be ware that when you order an “in stock” shoe, you really aren’t!

Ordered boots valued at close to $30O as a Christmas gift for my daughter on December 11th and it is now December 29th and they still have not shipped! I have emailed multiple times an just get apologies with no clarification on when they will ship. The shipping statement state standard shipping is 5 to 7 business days. They are still selling the boots on the website so they clearly are still in stock. I will never order shoes or boots from this company again!

Ordered Gibson Ballet Flats on…
Ordered Gibson Ballet Flats on 11-27-25. The gentleman in customer service was really patient and kind, but unfortunately each time of the 20+ times I called, It's been almost 3 weeks. I was told my shoes are in stock and they'd be shipping out today. Today, I was told there are 5 left in the size I ordered and I am number 7. These were a Christmas gift and I'm really thinking they aren't making Christmas. I really hope these shoes aren't awful and she is happy with them. Reading the reviews, I am now even more scared. I'd cancel but reading the reviews, not sure that would work either.
Edit: December 20th. The shoes shipped. They are supposed to be here in 4 days.
Poor Order Fulfillment
Placed an order online on Nov 28th, and as of today Dec 11th, my order still hasn't shipped yet. Reached out customer service to request a cancel and they stated due to their policy they cannot cancel my order and must wait til it is fulfilled.

Return shipping is awful
Shoes did not fit. Quality is not up to par for the price. Their return process is abhorrent. They require you to drive to a FedEx location with a QR code instead of giving you a FedEx mailing label to send back from any FedEx affiliate. I had to pay $4.95 for return shipping and drive 1.5hrs round trip to the nearest FedEx location. Even when I emailed them to find a solution I was offered zero help. I will never be ordering from this company again. Buyer beware.

They have lost my business and I have been a great customer until now. I won’t spend money when I don’t feel respected.
