Very helpful engineers, very polite, worked out the problem and did a great job

Came out on a Sunday evening to help with awful flooding caused by a blocked drain. Fast arrival and the worker was extremely polite and tidy, clearing the blockage swiftly. Recommend!

Extremely Disappointing Service and Complete Lack of Care

We recently arranged for a Dyno-Rod engineer to attend one of our managed properties on behalf of our tenants, who were experiencing issues with both the shower and toilet draining slowly, along with the kitchen waste pipe. For context, we have used Dyno-Rod many times over the years and have always relied on them for professional, reliable service. Unfortunately, this latest experience has left us seriously questioning what has happened to the company.

As usual, we informed Dyno-Rod of the issues in advance and requested that the engineer call upon arrival so I could meet them on-site to advise on the drainage system. I was already at the property—in another flat—waiting for the call. No call ever came. Several hours later, I instead received an email from our tenant saying the engineer had been and gone, and had only unblocked the toilet. No proper investigation, no assessment of the shower or kitchen drainage, and absolutely no communication.

We asked the tenant whether they had been given any paperwork or a service report—nothing. I waited to see if anything would be emailed afterwards, but after a full week, still nothing.

I called Dyno-Rod for an update and was told they would speak to the engineer and call me back. Twenty-four hours passed with no response. I called again and was told there was still no update. I made it clear how unacceptable the service had been and requested the job be cancelled, specifically asking not to be charged so that I could arrange for another company to do the job properly. It has now been a full day since that call, and again—no email, no call, no acknowledgement.

I genuinely don’t know what has happened to Dyno-Rod. The total lack of care, customer service, accountability, and professionalism is astonishing. After this experience, it’s clear they simply do not care anymore, and we will be taking our business elsewhere.

They will not tell there plumbers will spend more time on there phones than fixing a leak.
Perhaps that why it took so many visits from there plumbers, (they might think they are plumbers, I have another name for them). All that was required was to fix a leaking kitchen tap, what did I get 6 visits and seven "plumbers". 3 of these so called plumbers failed to notice they failed to secure a replacement tap to the sink. Resulting in an ongoing leak.
The last but one plumber refused to attend as he did not have a guaranteed parking spot, even when there were 3 parking spaces available for him. When he informed his office to rebook the call for a weeks time, this is when Dyno-Rod office staff inform me it's a British Gas requirement that customers must provide parking for there staff and contractors. When DR are asked how the customer is to provide parking, they will only give 1 answer, it's a British Gas requirement. Contacted BG and this is the first they have heard of this, how are the customers going to provide parking on the public roads? An answer may be forthcoming, I doubt this somehow.

The experience was terrible frankly. You came once and did not fix it. Then you came a second time and still did not fix the problem. We agreed you’d come a third time and that time you failed to come at all with no warning. Finally the third time, a more senior engineer (I guess) came and fixed it. Why bother?

Polite and thorough. Fantastic service. Rare qualities these days which is why I never respond to these questionnaires but the many from Bulgaria was exceptional.

The company is not honest! They said they wouldn’t charge for waiting time but they did. They didn’t call me 30 minutes before engineer was on his way as requested. They didn’t have right tools. They charged me for more than they were actually on site. They didn’t do thorough inspection. They threatened me with legal action if I wouldn’t pay within a day. Very unprofessional. Very disappointed!!

Brian was courteous and sincere and unblocked my toilet back to fully operational.

I was very, very impressed with the competence of The plumbing operatives and drain clearers they dealt with the blockage of the sewage line with efficiency and speed very impressed. I will not hesitate to use your services as I have done in the past thank you very much.

Bathroom pipes became blocked causing shower, bath and toilet to backfill, water only draining away at a trickle. Chose Dynorod as a big name because thought they'd have resources and equipment to get job done quickly even if more expensive Four visits and £670 later the blockage remained, and ended up in desperation calling a local contractor who got the job completed in less than an hour. Dynorod engineer on first visit identified need for camera but didn't have one, nor different engineer on second visit, both attempts to unblock failing. Third visit with camera identified heavily scaled pipes. Fourth visit to do descale only managed to treat 6 feet of interior pipe in 2 hours as engineer didn't have ladders to access exterior pipe at first floor level and complete job. Engineers on 2nd & 3rd visit both had to borrow my own ladders to access. Seemed to be no communication between engineers on successive visits about issue and what equipment was needed. When a fifth visit was rescheduled day before for a week later, I called an alternative company. Dynorod did not charge for second visit (recall). Offered continuation rate only for 5th visit but it didn't happen. Won't be using DynoRod again.

It was very easy to book an engineer to come the next day. AJ quickly and professionally diagnosed the problem of a blocked down pipe and was able to resolve it without much fuss or mess. I was very happy with the service. Thanks AJ!

The Dyno-Rod engineer arrived within a very short time and cleared our blocked kitchen sink quickly and efficiently and without mess. He knew his job well and was able to give us good advice. The price is still cheaper than calling out a plumber who may not have the right equipment. The price quoted included VAT which i think is a much fairer way to deal with customers- you know exactly what to expect. We have now used this company 3 times (our sink seems to seize up every three or four years) and would thoroughly recommend.

Called at 8am with drain blockage issue. Engineer attended at 1pm and resolved within the hour and advised source of blockage 👍
