eastathome.com Reviews

1st one yesterday, an absolute joy to eat. I F**king love curry and have eaten thousands in my time. This is comfortably the best pre packaged curry I’ve ever eaten, by a country mile. Bravo team, glorious food indeed.

An amazing product at a really competitive price. It’s probably not what my local Indian restaurants want to hear, but I’ve not ordered a take-away since discovering you almost a year ago!

Recently my daughter got married, 70 guests. However on the night before the wedding, 25 guests were arriving early and needed feeding. My answer ... East-at-home korma sauce with paneer cheese, chickpeas and spinach. In short, it went down a storm with many questions of "Did you make this?". Technically the answer was "Yes" but in reality, the heavy-lifting was done by the korma sauce. Highly recommended.

When I was a child in the 80s my mother used to get a tin of Homepride Dhansak Cookin sauce and cook with beef mince and serve with Long grain rice. The stopped making the many years ago and I have been unable to find anything that replicates the taste until I tried the East at Home Dhansak. Absolutely wonderful and great flavour. Ordering and delivery was great.

Delivery of the sauces came the very next day. The sauces are amazing, so delicious, and much like what you would get served in an Indian Restaurant, if not, I would say even better. Thoroughly recommend these sauces from East at Home. So enjoyable and guests were very very impressed with the intense flavors of these sauces. 11/10 for these guys.

These sauses are top quality. As good, if not better than restaurant sauses. Taste and texture are what makes them so delicious. Highly recommend. I don't use the supermarket sauses anymore. Delivery is usually within three days and well packaged.

First time purchase and bought various mixes. Only had time to use the chicken tikka spice mix so far and it tasted absolutely fantastic. It was that good ive already ordered some more.Im really looking forward to trying the other mixes I bought.
Delivery was spot on and the recipie cards with the spices are really helpful.

Wow.....Jalfrezi Spice kit tonight ...used chicken....only had a mild red chili pepper in fridge...so used that instead of the green chilli.... So much flavour....loved it. Possibly the best home spice kit I have used. Thank you.

Placed order 3 days ago. Arrived today and enjoyed a tikka masala for tea. I have to say it was very nice! The individual flavours were stand out for me. So far I’m 9.5 /10 which given my pickiness is a great score!

I will be ordering again! Thanks

These are the most authentic and delicious sauces I have found anywhere. People use ‘restaurant quality’ as a benchmark but they are better than that! I can now make myself and guests the most fantastic curries, naan, bhaji whenever I want. My favourite is dhansak but I have some vindaloo sauce on order. The tikka marinade mixture is great too.

Absolute stars, best curries we have had, will use again and again !!!!!

Trying the base gravy next....

Just...
Wow!!
I'm not just saying it, and i cook mostly from scratch usually, Mistys recipes etc.., hubby doesn't really like curries much, he's a mild tikka masala n mild butter chicken wimp..
I adore spicy, rich, hot,
So hence why i thought seeing as these literally had real ingredients n not shite in em i was really intrigued to try after seeing all the FB ads.
I bought loads 🫣 2x each of the hotter ones.
Been looking forward to the Vindaloo all morning and was determined not to dig in whilst cooking it. Well bloody eck i got that tingly behind the ear watery jaw thing going on coz of the amazing smell coming off it.
Hand on heart the best curry I've ever had.
Stunning!
Cannot wait to try the others i bought too!
Well done you!!!! 👏
The restaurant quality flavours were immense.
I also got free delivery, 10% off first order and a winning scratchcard prize of a spice kit bundle too.
I'll not buy from anywhere else now.

I have just used the jalfrezi purchased in a multipack order. Cooked lamb pieces low and slow in the oven with sliced onion and green pepper, about 100 mins. Then put all in a wok with sauce, and some more veg for 15 mins. If I had been served this in a curry house I would have been well impressed. Absolutely gorgeous, and right level of heat for jalfrezi.
Well done East at Home, we can't wait to try the others we received.

These sauces are amazing! They taste just like British Indian restaurant curries. I have never had anything so good that hasn't come from a restaurant. After my first Madras, I placed another order straight away. I have now told my curry fan family members, so there should be more orders coming! I will telling everyone I know about these fantastic sauces!

So. Here I am writing a trust pilot review. Not something I usually do. However, I usually read the 1 stars first and work my way up. The general impression I get from the 1 stars is watery and bland. Let's put this into perspective. Cook chicken it gives out water. Don't do anything about it, it's watery. Don't cook it long enough, it's watery. As a Brummie and brought up around curries for the last 50 years and cooking my own, I wanted a simple one pot, flavoursome curry for our caravan outings. Jars are cheap but have you seen the ingredients. Plus, no two flavours are the same. One person's idea of a madras is not the same as anothers. Honestly, the negatives are so personal it's ridiculous. They will not appeal to everyone but that doesn't make them bad. Don't like it fine.... Don't rant about it to others who may thoroughly enjoy it. That's why I DONT like review sites. It's a personal thing that others WILL disagree with. Personally, I love these curries. Simple, properly cooked and with the right accompaniments serve a decent meal for two.... Especially in a caravan (less washing up). I add mushrooms and potatoes to mine and wow. One pot cooking. Sorry if you think otherwise.... It's just my opinion and I think others should decide for themselves. Who knows... If I meet one of the negative curry experts and taste theirs.... It could be hideous to me ??!!?? Who knows...

Excellent service excellent products. Cheaper than buying from the restaurant and better quality. Easy to use easy to order from. Website is user friendly and customer service is friendly

Great flavour, so easy, perfect for in the caravan! Looking forward to trying other flavours.

Great tasting Rogan Josh sauce, cooked up chicken, onion and bell pepper, fried off and added sauce. Served with pilaf rice and was absolutely delicious. Great product. We had also ordered a box on line and gave some to our daughter who loves cooking and she really praised dhansak. Well done Ali

So we were given some sachets and sauces courtesy of the John who manages The Venus Caravan Owners group. Tried the Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka Sauces and the Chicken Tikka Seasoning and Bombay Potato Mix......10/10 Will definitley be ordering online soon 👌
