My experience with Dean Hornby and Easthams has been, in my view, extremely poor and far more stressful than it should ever have been.

From an early stage, I felt left to manage significant parts of my own case. I repeatedly had to chase for even basic advice and updates, often receiving little or no response. It reached the point where I felt I had no real option but to raise the prospect of a formal complaint simply to get any meaningful engagement.

Most concerning was that I found myself having to carry out my own legal research just to understand my position. Based on that, I became increasingly uneasy that the advice I had initially been given did not reflect the available evidence. Had I relied solely on that advice, I do not believe I would have had a clear understanding of the potential value and strength of my claim.

Only after persistent follow-up was the case reviewed more thoroughly, at which point the claim valuation was revised in a way that appeared to better reflect the evidence. Despite this, there was no apology or acknowledgement from the director regarding the earlier handling of the matter, which I found both surprising and disappointing.

Throughout, communication has felt reactive rather than proactive. The case appears to have been handled largely by a claims handler rather than a qualified solicitor, and in my experience this resulted in limited, delayed, and at times unclear guidance. The overall impression I have been left with is of a process that prioritises moving cases along rather than properly advising and supporting clients.

This experience has caused unnecessary stress and has significantly undermined my confidence in the service I was receiving. I was left feeling that unless I pushed constantly, questioned the advice given, and effectively advocated for myself, my case would not have been handled appropriately.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm. If you are expecting clear advice, accountability, and to feel properly represented without having to fight for basic engagement, this was not my experience.

Adele Woodhouse was equally proactive and efficient in ensuring completion took place smoothly within the required timeframe, which was greatly appreciated given the pressure around deadlines.

Overall, I found the team very professional and easy to deal with and would happily recommend Easthams Solicitors to others requiring conveyancing or transfer of equity support.

I had an amazing experience with easthams solicitors for my personal injury claim,especially with Rebecca ( initial process ) who was , very responsive and kept me up to date with the progress of my claim . very professional. Once liability has been admitted ,my case was taken over by Stuart ,who was really helpful especially in guiding and explaining each bit in details .Yes of course ,I did numerous researches to understand this process and what to expect using various social media platforms .I am really happy with the final negotiations and proactiveness throughout the process .By his grace ,I have received more than I have even expected .

I was run over in September I was honest with the doctors and hospital about the injury, I was in pain with torn muscles but nothing to serious, I did everything asked turned up to my appointments on time and this week was paid out the compensation due to me, very efficient and they did exactly what they told me they would.
