Quote was way too expensive, no travel consultant can give an estimate on a 6 week vacation before they have begun the quoting process and then when the itinerary is completed be with in a few hundred dollars. Also itinerary should be price itemised. I was quoted $25.000 per person. The reality is I did the same itinerary I requested independently and it cost total $ 25.000 to $28.000. For both of us combined. Almost half your quote. Also my cost was fully inclusive. All meals, all sightseeing, all accommodation, all flights, all spending money, including our shopping.
Why was your quote so high?
The lodge in Iquitos was very expensive but worst of all the guide was on his phone ( not talking on phone but going through social media or similar) while we were looking for wildlife. Admittedly he was good at spotting wildlife but I believe we would have seen many more if he was paying attention all the time. Also the meals were very bland and many dishes were repeated at almost every meal.
I independently booked Manu rainforest as a second jungle adventure for 7 nights / 8 days. it was considerably cheaper, the food was amazing, the guide was very knowledgeable and attentive, talked about the fauna and wildlife. We did many more hikes, jungle cruises and canoeing than Iquitos. The lodge was not as upmarket as Iquitos but that was what was expected in the Amazon jungle.

Our southern African trip (South Africa, Zimbabwe & Botswana) was fantastic. We are experienced travellers and this is the first time we have ever used a travel company to plan and book our trip. We are so glad we did. After discussing with us our interests, the itinerary they suggested was excellent, offering a variety of iconic African experiences. The booking process was smooth and efficient, and the pre-trip information provided was comprehensive and informative. Organisationally, everything went without a hitch, with all accommodation, transfers, tours, and pickups in place. It was a pleasure to have all of this done for us in advance so we could just concentrate on enjoying the experience.

We had an absolutely fantastic trip to South America, and Lara and the team were amazing from start to finish. They were extremely communicative, helpful, and always kept us informed throughout the journey.
The entire itinerary went exactly to plan. At every airport, there was someone there to meet us, which made arriving in each new destination completely stress-free. All of the transfers were organized perfectly, and everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Our guides in each destination were knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our trip amazing.
We felt very well looked after throughout the whole trip and had complete confidence that everything was taken care of. We would highly recommend Lara and the team to anyone planning a trip to South America. Their organization, communication, and attention to detail made our holiday to South America a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. I cannot wait to plan another trip to South America !

I was overwhelmed with the number of animals I saw. Eclipse Travel booked me on the Off the Beaten Track package in Tanzania, which was perfect for me. It exceeded my expectations. The quality of the accommodation was very high. And I really appreciated the care and attention shown to me as a solo traveller. The game drives were full on. But even so, I was so hooked on observing the animals that I could have done another 1 or 2 drives (maybe in other parts of Tanzania). Next time!

All details were arranged to the plan and executed by the ground team perfectly.
Hotels selected for us were in great locations and matched our needs. Tours and drivers were all first class and felt we didn't need to worry about a thing as we explored Spain for the first time.

Daniel at Eclipse Travel put together an amazing tour for 6 of us, all friends. Starting in Lima, flew to Cusco, staying in the Sacred Valley in wonderful accommodation, visiting the Chinchero markets on Mothers' Day, lunch at communities in the area, eating fresh local food, visiting the ruins at Ollantaytambo, then on to Machu Pichu by train and back to Cusco. All 3 Peruvian guides were so knowledgeable, and great to be with. But wait, there's more-flew to Ecuador, and spent 3 days exploring the volcanoes, even climbing one of them, seeing condors and hummingbirds. Next was the Amazon, to the Napo Wildlife Centre, where our guides showed us another world, and taught us how important the people and communities of the Amazon are to keeping that environment alive supporting the planet. Every experience was rich, each guide was superb, and we loved Ecuador. To finish, the most special place in Hacienda Zuleta, where 2 days saw us immersed in another community, learning of culture and wildlife, including helping to protect the condors of Ecuador. Everything went smoothly, every experience suited us, the accommodation was excellent, the food extraordinary and delicious, and we were mesmerised by the sounds, sights and people of Peru and Ecuador. After our Quark expedition was cancelled I contacted Eclipse. Cathy organised our expedition to Svaalbard and it was fabulous. She was the ultimate professional, warm, informative, responsive and of great support. Our next trip will be with Cathy and Eclipse! Thank you to all!

From start to finish, the personal attention provided by Blake and the Eclipse Travel team was fantastic! We didn't know what to expect initially and all expectations were exceeded. We felt well supported throughout the entire process and no questions went unanswered. Oh yeah- the trip itself on SH Vega around Svalbard was phenomenal too! Highly recommend- we will use Eclipse again without hesitation.

Eclipse Travel were very professional in helping us to plan our South American holiday. Their travel consultant, Meike, has excellent first-hand knowledge of South America. She listened carefully and followed up thoroughly to produce an itinerary that all hung together really well. As an out-of-town residents, we had no issues dealing with a Sydney-based company. Every pick-up and transfer went like clockwork. The result was a great holiday with a series of brilliant destinations.

The nature was amazing and the tour provider did a good job of cramming everything we saw within 8 days. We were a little bit misinformed about how hard the travel would be between sites. 4-8hrs per day in a 4WD. The tour should have probably been sold more like a 4WD adventure as that’s what we did most of the time because the road were so terrible. We later found out that there is an option to fly between locations, which would have saved us many days in travel and we would have been able to see a lot more. We wish we had of known this was an option and how long the driving was at the time of booking. That said, all the tour guides/drivers were amazing and the nature was great.

Eclipse Travel while not being exceptional provided all the necessary services to support the tour booked.

All transfers on time. Hotels very comfortable. Only issue we had was on an internal flight where no luggage was booked for the infant and his luggage cost us $400 to have checked. Otherwise tour went very smoothly and all guides and drivers were wonderful. Am hoping to travel to japan next year and hopefully you do tours there as would live to use you again

Daniel at Eclipse Travel was a terrific agent - very helpful and responsive, understood the type of things our group wanted to do and advised us well on itinerary and locations. He knows South America so well and had great ideas and knowledge.

We loved gjtravel Iceland trip. We booked through eclipse travel. We weren’t impressed with eclipse travel. We didn’t feel our representative was friendly or reached out much after booking.

Booking process was easy and I got some good additional suggestions from Luke, who did my booking. The trip was well organised and everything went smoothly, accommodation was lovely. Seeing the Shoebill Stork was a wonderful experience.
Only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 was the gorilla trek, which was a bit out of Eclipse's control. I asked for an easy trek and actually got a very hard one, because I was travelling alone and the numbers were not in my favour. Even the porters said it was a difficult walk and it was not enjoyable at all. Still good to see the gorillas, but would have been so much better if they hadn't gone into the bushes by the time we arrived.

We were planning a trip to South America and were recommended Eclipse Travel by a friend of a friend. We contacted them and worked with Daniel, who was very attentive to our needs. He understood our requirements as active 60-plus year-olds who enjoyed food and wanted to visit Machu Picchu in Chile and Iguazu Falls. We subsequently extended our trip to Central America, resulting in a two-month adventure through Chile, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. The itinerary was well-paced, offering a variety of activities. The local travel teams were exceptional and we encountered no issues. Communication was excellent, from the documents on the portal to the local teams contacting us the day before to confirm timings. We highly recommend Eclipse Travel and intend to use them again.
