They sent me an email claiming I had 40$ credit on a two year plan. The checkout went through, the 40$ credit was not applied, so I opened a dispute with my bank. The dispute was denied on the same day internally within my bank.

It's been almost a month now and the company will not give me a refund claiming there is a dispute, even though my bank states that it has been resolved and there is no such thing. I'm not quite sure what they are waiting for to issue me a refund. Regardless, they robbed me twice, first when they didn't apply the credit they had so graciously offered, and again when they denied me my refund up until now.

These shady business tactics are highway robbery.

Received a marketing email for an $80 credit, that should appear automatically in the checkout cart. No such credit there. I reached out to support 5 times, no response.

Use a different platform like Algomonster.

There are not many text based online schools. It seems, most of the people are doing better with videos. I am not one of them in general. And it always upsets me when I have to scroll through the video when I need a reminder.

I don't remember already how I found Educative. I have had great time with it and just prolonged my subscription for another two years.

Networking, Terraform, C have been the new topics for me. I started exploring them on Educative right away. I relied on the consise, structured courses that I selected. They made me curious and they provided me with the hints on how to continue digging using the other resources.

"A practical guide to AWS IAM" has helped me to finally make sense of this AWS service. Again, having a lot of food for thought I went to AWS docs, AI chats etc, expending what I learned from this nice consise course.

I did Educative AWS labs a couple of times to get used to a service that was new to me. It was also good to have an opportunity not to mess with my own account or account at work.

It's been a real game, changer in prepping for interviews when it comes to me brushing up on my Python and system design skills through Educative. What I love most about it are the interactive code playgrounds which allow you to get hands, on practice right in your browser without any setup hassle, plus the courses are concise yet comprehensivethey go all the way from basics to advanced topics like LeetCode patterns.

The mobile app sync, at times, works slowly and hence it is the only reason that not all my five stars go. But the desktop app that I used was flawless, and the support team was very quick in solving the issue. It's really worth the money compared to bootcamps, and I would definitely recommend it to learners who prefer to study at their own pace.

Für die ganze Plattform kann ich nur wenig sagen. Eine Sache aber ganz sicher: das Review System ist nicht echt. Bei den Kursen werden 5 Sterne Reviews angezeigt, aber es gibt überhaupt kein System um die Kurse zu bewerten...

Jetzt zum JS Kurs direkt: Der Anfang hat mir sehr gefallen. Es wird detailliert auf Einzelheiten eingegangen und alles wird gut erklärt. Allerdings fallen einige Dinge auf, je weiter man voranschreitet.
Zum Einen ist die Kursstruktur zuweilen sehr unübersichtlich. Es wird Wissen in den Quizzes abgefragt, das dann aber erst im Punkt danach gelehrt wird, oder auch manchmal gar nicht. Es gibt viele Rechtschreib- und Grammatikfehler (keine Übersetzung, alles auf Englisch). Alles macht den Anschein als wäre es KI generiert und niemand hätte es sich danach nochmal angesehen... Zum Schluss kommt es beim Programmieren in der vorgegebenen Umgebung häufig zu Ausführungsfehlern die aber mit der Umgebung und nicht mit dem Code zusammenhängen. Als Bsp. wenn man "div" als Variablenname verwendet kommt die Umgebung damit nicht klar und gibt auch keine vernünftige Fehlermeldung aus.

Das ganze wäre ja verkraftbar, aber man muss ja dafür bezahlen! Ich denke auch deshalb, dass gerade der Anfang so gut war, weil die Punkte danach (die hinter der Paywall sind) einfach nur noch unbrauchbar werden.

Mein Fazit: Es macht sehr den Eindruck als wäre das nur eine Masche um Geld von unerfahrenen Einsteigern abzugreifen.

Für JS ist die Doku von Mozilla eig. ausreichend wenn man bereits programmieren kann.

Disappointing course content and AI features. Far too expensive for the value it provides. As someone who has worked in software engineering for 10+ years, I found myself constantly cross-referencing with external services (other AI chatbots, blog posts, etc), so much so that I really only found the course outlines useful. I asked for a refund after ~2 weeks of purchasing their yearly plan, and they refused, citing their return policy.

The way of teaching is superb specially the practice part,Quizs and Challenges.

Their support team is attentive, responsive, and focused on delivering the most essential information. The platform is content-rich, clear, visual, and affordable — making it easy to stay and grow with them over the years.

The courses are real and great, infact there are tons of courses, some are more interactive than others, but still a lot of info.
Their sales are going all year long, I have got a birthday sale discount of 33% and still see same discount for labor day, Halloween and so on. This is sad, feels like a fake promo

I've used Educative to learn a new programming language, practice interview topics, and some specialized skills training. I've found the pacing of the lessons to be good for an experienced programmer, the quality of the information to be very useful, and much prefer their style of training to video courses. I would recommend it for someone who can make a focused investment.

The course contents are the best. I enjoyed the detailed explanations to concept and step by step guide. The experience has been Awesome.

You have good centered topics on interview preparation but for people not ready and need to build those skills we need a better guidance on preparatory courses.

Educative’s courses are well structured and easy to follow. The text-based format helps me learn at my own pace, even with limited time or an unstable internet connection. I especially liked the System Design courses, which include practical examples from major companies.

Highly recommend!! Love that learning is accessible and easy to understand - allows me to build up my skills on my own time and convenience!
