I spoke with Debbie regarding an issue with work and a disability, she was amazing and supportive, gave great advice about the 2010 equality act and templates that I required, and gave some great advice and most importantly listened, a very positive experience and I now feel less stressed.

I would like to thank Whitney for her kindness, professionalism and understanding. I’m currently going through a very difficult situation involving disability and employment, and her response made me feel listened to rather than dismissed. She carefully explained what further information was needed and pointed me towards the appropriate next steps. Although she could not provide legal advice, her guidance has been extremely helpful in helping me understand my rights under the Equality Act 2010. Thank you for your support.

Completely unfit for purpose – Just another bureaucratic helpline

Don't waste your time or energy if you have a serious case. This service is a complete joke and totally unfit for purpose. I reported a global organization for a clear breach of the Equality Act 2010 regarding dyslexia. Instead of an agency that actually takes action, investigates, or holds lawbreakers accountable, they are just a toothless advisory helpline.

All they do is copy and paste legal definitions and send you a template letter to do more paperwork yourself. They pass the buck straight back to the victim, leading you into a pointless game of back-and-forth emails while the company that discriminated against you gets away with it. If you are looking for real legal teeth or enforcement to protect your rights, look elsewhere. Completely useless.

I used Equality Advisory Support Service, for a problem I was having and needed some advice, the service I recieved was amazing the handler took time to listen to the issue and provided me with great advice I would highly recommend using these if you have an issue or just want free advice..
Cant recommend enough

I'm facing complex discrimination at work, and I was given helpful advice (even if it was disappointing news) about my options. Rory was professional, helpful, and friendly.

While ACAS might be people's go-to source for employment issues, I found the advice provided by EASS so much more helpful for clarity of where I stood with my situation. I wouldn't have discovered EASS without ACAS but EASS was able to give me a better steer and assessment of my situation compared to the mere signposting that ACAS was able to support me with.

I used the Live Chat and received a really helpful consultation, it did take about 15 minutes to get connected to an advisor but then we had 1 hour of discussion and I was able to share the situation and receive lots of different links/information/relevant support. The advisor was knowledgeable about the applicable laws and able to point me towards a template to use from the website
I did make an enquiry on the website prior to the Live Chat but didn't receive any response after 1 week - which is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, the advisor said it has been a very busy time so they are progressing through enquiries and actually the Live Chat was probably the most helpful route for me

I contacted the EASS last week to get some advice on an issue relating to my son's college. I had the pleasure of speaking with Rory, who was patient and thorough, took a lot of time to gather all the information and talk everything through. He was patient, super delightful to deal with and provided clear advice about the next steps. Thank you!

was very helpful. Explain the law to me and guided me to the right resources on the website. Thank you for all your time and help.

I spoke with a very helpful lady called Whitney who was able to answer all my questions clearly and concisely. She took the time to listen to my responses in full and did not rush me in any way. Her advice and support were clear, she was clear in her explanations and provided a few routes I could explore with my issue. I found the service excellent and would highly recommend and a special thank you to Whitney for her excellent service.

Intolerably incompetent and persistently in breach of both The Equality Act and and UK Data Protection law.

PS In response to the reply by the EASS:
You could start by educating your staff on how to actually comply with Section 20 of the Equality Act and ensure they do so. You are like Wayne Couzens providing women with advice on how to stay safe.

I reached out to EASS today having had issues in work. Im so pleased I did Jayne on the chat was fantastic . Very supportive with lots of help, guidance and direction on next steps. Brilliant thank you.

Kayleigh gave some great advice and worked through the options. There are loads of resources and I am glad she could help signpost what the possible next steps for me could be without giving any specific legal advice.

First of all, shout out to Rory who was excellent and, importantly LISTENED. That's a quality I was not expecting here. I wasn't interrupted and I had many opportunities to feel like I could say what needed to be said. This service is very robust and I felt like the core issues I was experiencing were dealt with as well as a wealth of resources and to use and left the call with a feeling of empowerment and confidence.

Absolutely recommend if you want to know where you stand and within a legal framework where you're heading as well.
