Had the worst experience with this branch. Had my car from April-September being fixed under warranty left me with no vehicle for my pregnancy no help at all. Lost value when selling due to needing a bigger car. Wrongly diagnosed in April had to take it back in May with the same faults- then taken to another garage and dumped there on a Friday with no information for the garage carrying out the repair. Then I didn’t get it back till September after my child was born via emergency C-section. Emails from the management team were appalling and rude. No compensation no acknowledgement of wrong doing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I traded my old car in for a new one and got a great deal at the time 2 years ago nearly. Since then I have found it very difficult to contact the garage as nobody answers the phone unless you want to buy a new car so the only way to talk to someone is to select the option for 'buy a car'. This is frustrating in itself but I have spent a lot of money on repairs since at this garage, enough to question if I am being taken advantage of here. I paid a lot of money for a full service only to discover more problems when I drove away from the garage. They wanted to charge me another £160 after full service so I took it to a trusted friend at a garage who did the test for me and told me the problem was with the new part that they fitted!! So now, again I am waiting for someone to call me back so have decided to tell trustpilot my story because Fords (Halshaw Evans, Chester) can't answer the phone or be honest. I feel totally duped!

I did not feel pressured to make a deal. All options were explained to me in great detail. Max was so friendly and welcoming. Not once did I feel that he was just trying to make a sale. And we are very happy with the car we walked away with.

I came into the dealership with a hanful of questions for Phil regarding the car and the process, he was very thorough in his response as well as being very patient during the whole process!

Would highly recommend!

Bought my car in May 2024 and was told the MOT advisories that were online had been fixed prior to purchase. However, the “badly perished rear tyre” ended up flat within a month and at my next MOT, they said the “rusty brake discs” needed changing. So they lied about these being fixed beforehand. I also paid for an extended warranty which was just a £2k donation to Evans Halshaw as they didn’t cover an electrical fault with my wing mirror. Will not be going back here.

I called Evans Halshaw Ford Chester to enquire about a valuation for my trade in with a plan visit the following day. On my first call the salesman said he would call me back. I waited until almost closing time and called again, I spoke to a different salesman, he explained his colleague was busy and he new about my trade in, I explained I needed to the numbers and would travel the following to view with the intention to make a purchase. He said that's OK he will pass on the message. The next day came no contact from this dealer, I was willing to travel 140 miles and this dealership made it very clear they were not interesred in a sale. Disapointing as I've purchased many cars from Evans Halshaw and always been treat like a cutomer

My wife and I were going to go into Volvo in Chester but parked in Evans Halshaw by mistake!! I saw a Volvo xc40 and first thing I noticed was the price was about £1200 cheaper than the same model next door
We were introduced to Phil Holding who brought the car round for us to have a look at and whilst we were looking he sorted out the paperwork for us to take a test drive
After the drive we were given time to breathe and then Phil did all the maths and asked if we wanted to pitches the vehicle ( the nice part was there was no and I mean no pressure to buy)
When we decided to purchase the car Phil wouldn’t let me take it there and then he said it needed its final clean (the car was immaculate) but he insisted so we collected it the next day and the experience was brilliant

Took my partner’s car here for a repair under warranty due to a faulty touch screen. The fault was misdiagnosed twice, and unnecessary parts (such as the SYNC module) were replaced, which caused the warranty cap to be reached. The original issue still persists, and they are now advising that the touch screen itself is faulty. Despite this, they refuse to acknowledge the misdiagnosis or provide further support unless we pay £500 for the replacement screen — a repair that should have been covered under the original warranty.

Before I purchased a car I was just viewing the vehicles available. I met Phill Holding and he made us very at ease. He asked what type of vehicle we were looking for and then shared his expert Knowledge with us. This was really helpful with no pressure on us. We then returned home and narrowed our search. A few days later we returned to find the vehicle we wanted and Phill helped us with a very easy purchase.
