I bought a Nissan Xtrail, i paid it all upfront to show i was serious about the car because i was 4 hours away from the garage and didn't want to waste anyones time. So after waiting nearly 3 weeks for it to be delivered because it was having work done and they were waiting for parts. It was dropped off at 9:30pm so it was completely dark, couldn't see the exterior properly to make sure it was all ok. The man gave me the keys, showed me a few things and left. I drove the car a day and it broke down. I messaged the seller and all was said was the warrantee will cover but I couldn't get the warrantee to cover it because they falsely advertised that the car had a full service history, which it doesn't, so without that document I couldn't go through the warrantee. Explaining that to them was hard work and also asking for an invoice was tough. I have been asking for an invoice since paying and was always fobbed off like with the service history.
I sent recorded delivery letters, emails, rang all numbers associated with the business but I was either lied to, ignored or my number blocked!!
I was happy to keep the car and have them fix it which by law they must do because the fault was reported within 30 days. But after being continuously lied to I requested a refund under the consumer rights act.
I have proof of all conversations ans attempts from my partner at communicating

I purchased a Jaguar XJ from Exclusive Motor Group, Peterborough. I found the car on Auto Trader. I sent an email asking for more information on the vehicle. Within an hour of sending the email. I received a phone call from the owner.

All my questions were answered and I decided to make an appointment for a viewing/test drive.

On the day of my appointment. I was met by the owners son, who was very polite and professional. The car was presented to me for viewing. The car was extremely clean inside and out to include the engine. All services history paperwork was given to me to review and all additional questions were answered. The vehicle had a long MOT as well. There was no pressure to purchase the vehicle.

I decided to purchase the vehicle.

Before making my appointment, I did my own research on the company itself and read pervious reviews. All the reviews were 4.5 to 5 stars.

The vehicle came with 3 months warranty that covered everything except wear and tear of the brakes and tires. I very pleased with that. I also purchased an extended warranty for a very good price.

I discussed collection of my newly owned vehicle with sale representative and was given free delivery because I lived in the same city.

On the day of the delivery, I was informed that the car fob wasn't working correctly and my delivery was going to be delayed. On the way to delivery the car to me the headlight blub burned out.

After further inspection of the headlight. The owner detected moisture in the headlight assembly. I was contacted and was told that the headlight had to be replaced. I was offered a temporary vehicle until the new headlight was delivered. Due to the bank holiday the part came in later than usual.

Once the headlight was delivered and installed my car was delivered. What stood out to me was the extraordinary customer service. I was updated daily on the status of the headlight replacement.

I will definitely refer my family and friends to Exclusive Motor Group, of Peterborough. My only regret is I am awful with remembering names and can't give the names of those who provided me with great service and professionalism.
