Avoid Ezypay – Dated System, High Fees, Poor Service
My business used Ezypay for years and experienced ongoing issues that were never addressed, despite providing extensive feedback. Their system is outdated and restrictive, with limited customisation.
They charge excessive fees, including $16.39 for a failed payment (plus further $16.89 for any retry fails), and a “load fee” just to add a new customer. Even worse, despite repeatedly requesting failed real-time payment notifications so we could chase payments, these were never provided, meaning we often ended up paying the fees ourselves when customers didn’t pay.
Customer service is slow, unhelpful, and robotic—not just for us, but also for our customers. On multiple occasions when our clients contacted Ezypay directly to make changes to their accounts, the process was handled poorly. This reflected badly on our business and caused unnecessary frustration for our customers.
Even now, months after we stopped using them, they refuse to cancel our account without charging an exit fee—making the process unnecessarily difficult.
Since switching to Stripe, the difference has been night and day. Stripe offers a modern, accurate, fully customisable platform with no failed transaction fees, smart payment retries, instant notifications, and outstanding 24/7 support. We regret not switching sooner.
I strongly recommend avoiding Ezypay and using Stripe instead.
