First Tech Credit Union is the dedicated credit union for employees working in the Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) sector in Ireland. First Tech was established in 1961 and was originally called the Civil Service Credit Union and later became the Telecom Eireann employees credit union and then ESCCU. It was renamed First Tech Credit Union in 2020. Key member benefits include competitive rates on personal loans, various savings options and insurance benefits at no extra cost. Members can borrow up to €120,000* and the maximum savings threshold for individual members is €100,000. (*Terms and Conditions apply). First Tech Credit Union is member-owned and not-for-profit with all profits being returned to members in the form of reduced fees, lower loan rates and attractive dividends. It is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors. In recent years, First Tech has built strong relationships with many companies across the ICT sector, from multi-nationals to SMEs. First Tech works with these companies and their employees to provide information and advice on First Tech’s products and services. These members value the personal and trustworthy service First Tech provides on a daily basis. First Tech Credit Union is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.

Easy experience start to finish
First tech have been a great support to me since I joined, my experience on applying for and being approved for a loan was seamless and so easy. The online services are very user friendly and I can check balances apply for a loan and make payment through the web which is also really handy. I would 100% recommend First tech for all tech workers to join☺️

First Tech should be praised for their helpful staff, efficient loan processes, and strong support for tech-sector employees and their families. I can't highlight enough the positive experience I had with them. It was down to the user-friendly digital tools, and the personalized service I received. The staff were so helpful, professional and efficient. To open an account was very easy and stress-free. They also have really good digital options allowing for managing my finances entirely from home. I have to say it's the most positive banking experience I've had. Honestly. Highly recommended.
