I worked with Ema from Funky Tours over the course of several weeks to plan a tailor-made family holiday to the Balkans. We were uncertain as to the itinerary and Ema was very helpful with suggestions and very knowledgeable and flexible. His communication was timely, he answered my myriad of questions and I always felt he cared about making our trip special. Due to changing circumstances we were unable to go ahead with the booking, but I would feel very comfortable booking with Funky Tours based on the professionalism and customer service I received beforehand.

We took part in the day-tour „Understanding the Genocid in Srebrenica“ and we are deeply moved from the whole day. Already during the journey to the memorial our guide gave us a lot of information about the history and political situation of Bosnien-Herzegowina. Because of his own biography his report was very descriptive and touching.

In combination with the visit of the Memorial itself we learnt a lot about the recent terrible war.
After the various inputs it was a pleasure that we could have lunch with a bosnian family.

We highly recommend the tour to everybody, who visits Sarajevo.

My husband and I always wanted to visit Bosnia, and booked the full day Saravajero tour which shows us 4 cities and Mostar. The trip was fabulous and so comfortable. From the point of booking the tour and receiving confirmation from Ema and meeting our Guide Enis, it was so easy and effortless. I have travelled all over Europe and have to say Bosnia &Herzegovina is a hidden gem. The tour was amazing, Enis took the time to explain each places history and showed us all the places, he was very knowledgeable and really took care of us. We will definitely come back again to visit and book other tours with Funky tours, they are really amazing👏

I did 3 day trips and a free walking tour with Funky Tours in September 2022. This company is fantastic - the perfect combination of friendly, knowledgeable staff and a really professional and well-organised office. These guys made me feel like I had true friends in Sarajevo - I have no doubt that I could have called into the office with literally any query or issue and would have been warmly welcomed :)

Most importantly, every tour was an experience I’ll remember forever. Each one was very thoughtfully put together and well organised, packed with beautiful landscapes, famous sights, stories, and fun adventures. The tour guides (I had three in total) were all wonderful people, with genuine love for sharing their amazing country and their own personal stories. They were also very skilled at gauging the interests of each group/individual, and tailoring activities to suit them.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Funky Tours. I can’t wait to go back to Bosnia and will definitely be booking some more tours with these guys :)

I did a tour with FunkyTours in 2019. The reception was flexible and very friendly. Moreover, the tours were well organized and well structured. One of the best tours I've been on- and that's only based on the way it was organized. The topics in Bosnia are another chapter, and if you're there, you are interested in them.

Did the Sarajevo Siege Tour.
4 hours of learning a lot on this event by a guide that experienced it first hand. Very interesting and something that should be remembered!

Choosing Funky Tours was one of the best decisions I made on my visit to Bosnia. It was my first time visiting Bosnia so I wanted to learn about the history of the country, explore the landscape, and meet local people. I was able to accomplish all of this with Funky Tours and more! They have the most amazing staff - everyone was suuuuper friendly, helpful, and wonderful! I required some flexibility with my schedule and Funky Tours was very kind, accommodating, and flexible to help me find what I needed.

We took the Sarajevo Siege tour and the Srebrenica tour. Both tours were very informative, authentic, moving experiences. On the Sarajevo Siege tour, we went to multiple different sites around Sarajevo that really make you understand the situation during the Siege. On the Srebrenica tour we went to the Museum, the Memorial, and saw other locations of importance in the area. The highlight of the tour was the Lunch we had with survivors of the Genocide. It was an incredible, moving, beautiful experience!

Our tour guide Almir was better than we could have imagined! He is kind, open, knowledgeable, well-spoken, funny, and personable - a very likeable person to guide you through the tragically beautiful history of Bosnia.

Bosnia is a beautiful country to visit and FunkyTours will give you the complete experience of everything Bosnia has to offer (food, nature, scenery, people, etc) with the loveliest service.

We had an incredible experience in Montenegro with Funky Tours. We did a one day tour to Lovcen, Cetinje, Lipa, Skaddar as advertised on their website and also a custom tour of Durmitor, Tara, Moraca and Biogradska.
Before arriving in the country they were very helpful with booking everything and customising the tours so we could see what we wanted and allowing pickup and drop off in different locations.
Both tours were busy full days with a great mix of activities from national parks, lakes, viewpoints, caves, river boat cruise, food tasting, monasteries, canyons, bridges, zip lining - everything this country has to offer. Skender, Ana and Slavko as tour guides were all a great balance of fun and informative and we learnt a lot about the countries rich history and the areas that we visited. As a group we all had different highlights of the trip which just shows how great each and every bit of what Funky Tours offers is and that Montenegro is definitely worth visiting as a country.
The price was more than reasonable for seeing the whole country and catering to custom requirements. Its definitely worth paying for the private tours compared to larger group ones that are offered. We've been inspired to see more of the area like Bosnia/Serbia/Croatia and will definitely be using Funky Tours again, would highly recommend!

I was a solo traveler on the East Bosnia and West Serbia tour. Nadira from the office made a lot of effort (1 week before the tour) to help me plan my journey to Belgrade safely although this trip was not a one way tour. Extremely sweet and kind person. The trip itself was amazing. Adnan my tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Our tour drivers Senad (in Bosnia) and Jasmin (in Serbia) was such wonderful guys and safe drivers. Driving thru the roads there safely is a big task as we have to pass thru mountains and valleys in winding roads. Safety was their main priority. Definitely value for money.

Going on a tour with Funky Tours (with Adnan our guide and Senat our driver) was just beyond perfect. Right from the beginning we got on so well and we (2 girls) felt safe and welcome. We had so much fun on our 12hour-"East Bosnia & West Serbia Off the beaten path tour" from Sarajevo to Visegrad, Dobrun Monastery, Sargan Eight and Tara Nationalpark etc. (tour incl. UNESCO World Heritage Sites).
(my personal highlight was the train ride and the Nationalpark - just WOW!)
The communication with the agency and the booking process was just perfect, fast and very very friendly.

Let me say one word about Sarajevo and the parts of Bosnia we were lucky to visit: it's such a welcoming and warm country, people were so friendly and attentive.

I did 3 tours with Funky Tours. It really was the best thing I did as I had the greatest time learning about Bosnia with Funky Tours. The Genocide Memorial was a once in a lifetime tour! One I will treasure for the rest of my life. The Mostar tour with 4 cities showcases the beautiful nature of Bosnia. The natural beauty blew my mind. The Sarajevo walking tour is a great way to learn about the city’s enduring history. The guides especially Almir was out of this world. They were very generous in sharing their stories, experiences and knowledge, which was so special! Ema and Nadira in the office provided sound coordination. YOU CANNOT MISS THIS!

My family had a wonderful private tour of Croatia (Spit and Dubrovnik) and Bosnia (Mostar and Sarajevo) organized by Funky Tours in October 2021.
It was a wonderful trip- very well planned and executed that was led by our main guides Emir and Senad and supplemented by local guides as well. In particular the Seige Tour in Sarajevo was unforgettable and impactful. We cannot wait to visit the Balkans again and use Funky Tours. I highly recommend them for anyone visiting the area.

My partner and I had done a tour with Sarajevo Funky Tours before and were so impressed by the tour and Sarajevo decided we must come back. This time we did the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial tour. This is without doubt one of the most interesting (and saddest) travelling experiences we had. Our tour guide was amazing. We had the honour of meeting some local people in Srebrenica who gave a very moving first hand account of some of their experiences. My partner and I felt it was very important to have this experience and share it with others. I can't recommend this tour enough. Both the tour company and our guide did a superb job. Now back home, I tell everyone I know - go to Bosnia, learn the history, meet the people and have the same wonderful experience we had. Sarajevo is a truly wonderful city to visit, friendly people, great food, wine, coffee surrounded by rich history (already thinking of our next trip back).

Funky Tours gave us a very good introduction to the past and the present of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We were a part of two of the many tours they conduct and thanks to them, we can now associate a mental image and experience to every story they shared from the past and the everyday sites and sounds of Sarajevo and Mostar.

Did multiple tours with Funky Tours and they are great! Young, professional staff are easy to relate to and also very good at sharing their stories. Also really good at arranging uncommon requests, like last minute football tickets! Enjoyed my first tour with them so much I booked a second!

From the initial booking inquiry months in advance to the ride to the airport on my last day, everyone that I met with the Sarajevo Funky Tours team was delightful to be around. For the 8 days I spent touring with Funky Tours, all of the guides, drivers, and staff went above and beyond to check in with how I was doing throughout my stay -- and as a solo female traveler in a brand new county, that meant the world to me. Ms Arena the guide was surprisingly nice and helpful, and a wonderful and kind person, I talked to her at length on the road about life in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The driver was nice and this, and the van was modern and new type of Mercedes

When we reached the exhibition of the massacre, we watched an introductory film for 15 minutes, and one of the young men who survived the massacre spoke to us, as he was a baby at the time of the massacre, and a number of his family members were eliminated in this massacre.

Then I wandered to the exhibition, which explained everything that happened accurately and in detail. The exhibition consists of two floors, and includes dozens of rooms, that it displays the massacre in the smallest details

After I left the exhibition, there was a photo exhibition during the war, the victims of the massacre, and the holdings that were with them during the massacre.

Then I went to the monument to the victims of the massacre, and all the names of the victims were written in very broad stone

I had stayed alone until he briefed everything in detailed, and group members had gone for lunch, and when they were back, the great guide Ms Arens had brought me a great meal for free, she was a wonderful human, and she gave me a bottle of water,

MS Arena the guide took me to the mosque on the way back when I asked her to pray, And she gave me a gift, She is an amazing person.

It was a special experience, The visit to the site of the massacre and the exhibition was very emotional,we must know this so that we can stop the wars and massacres around the world

To visit Sarajevo and to get back to its most difficult history felt like a human obligation for me who already lives in one of post-Yugoslavian countries and also right moment to open this history page to my son. From 5th of April 1992 to 29th of February 1996 Sarajevo was bleeding in front of entire world, besieged by Army of Republika Srpska. 1425 days of struggling with war, that nobody expected to last for so long, with war that killed 11.541 people and 1601 of them were children, with war that left people heroically struggling with every day bombing, with every day risking life for bread and water and trying to survive "in town without an exit". In memorial of all those people and their martyrdom we came. I couldn't manage this trip through Bosnian history on my own so decided to find a local, experienced guide who would help us to understand what actually happened here during Bosnian war, how was the reality looking like at that time and how does it look like today, in country of so many ethnic differences and political tensions. So the result overgrown my expectations - our guide was an amazing, charismatic man, who described Sarajevo and its history not only with passion and deep feelings for his country, but also spoke from perspective of war veteran and Siege survivor. He was one of those heroes who stayed in the city and faced front line every day, one of those who had a choice to escape from war disaster and to go abroad, but he didn't. He stayed in the middle of uncertain future and made decision to give his blood for his land, believes and dignity. How many of us would do that today?  These few hours of city tour we have spent together with Mr. Adnan were a very moving journey through single station of Sarajevo struggle and have left many unforgettable pictures in our memory.  Mr Adnan is very good word painter - he touches all senses through the way he speaks and doesn't confuse with overgrowth of emotions or opinions. He is very neutral and leaves space for thinking, for getting deep into places and doesn't judge from any perspective. Huge personality and such a graet, warm heart!! It was just the most precious live history lesson ever and honor for us to be there with a perfect guide..  I am looking forward to get back to BIH and to have opportunity to experience more about its places, history and nature! Funky Tours is my only choice for any other visiting option for the next time!

We took the half-day tour and we were amazed by how much you get to see and learn during it. The guide, Almir, was very interesting, well-informed and fun to be with. His history knowledge, as well as his English, was excellent. The agency is very well-organized; they answer your e-mails very quickly, nothing seems to be a problem and everything is as arranged. I would recomment this agecy to everyone.
