Arrived on time, did the work quickly and efficiently, and made an excellent job, with no mess or fuss.

Very pleased with the engineer who attended he worked quickly and efficiently. He was very polite and informative, able to solve the problem and give advise.
Would certainly recommend.

Following my one star review on 1 April I have been trying to make a formal complaint to this company. The email address provided by their website bot could not be delivered to. Then I tried using the address that responds to enquiries. That was delivered but not read.
There is no complaints procedure on their website. I have tried ringing 13 times and they don't answer the phone.
Perhaps they will respond to this review and give me a way to get my complaint addressed, or do I have to sue them?

Superb comms from door technician…highly skilled individual.

Had a problem with electric garage door contacted the company and a day was arranged for engineer to come and asses but had to cancel, got a call back the same day to say engineer could come later that day which I said yes but did not turn up got a phone call on the Monday to say engineer was on his way but I did not arrange the visit but luckily my son was in so said yes to the appointment, engineer came to my property and called me with his diagnosis which was to replace three locking straps which would cost £336, to which I said yes as I could not get in my garage, to my amassment my son said it took just over 30 minutes. on my return home I was left one of the locking straps which was broken but on google I found the same straps for between £15-£20 each so why was I charged £336 and only being there for just over 30 minutes. extortionate over pricing. not happy.

Appointment on time. Service and problems sorted out quickly

Very expensive quote which was then reduced after we declined which doesn't leave much confidence in the validity of the first quote or how high it was pitched just to see if we'd pay that. I'd expect to be given a reasonable and fair one-off price but this was not reasonable. Even the reduced quote was way higher than we thought. Be warned of the price you will be quoted. Wouldn't recommend or use again to price a job.

Tried charging me £20 to come out and quote for a replacement garage door!!Avoid this company!!!!

Had an issue with my manual up and over door and wife found this lot on the internet.
We agreed to pay a minor call-out fee to get a quote for repair and an engineer was assigned to arrive in a few hours.
A few hours later received a call to asking where we were as the engineer was outside so I popped outside whilst chatting to him on the phone and we established he was at a similar address, but different post code at the other side of the city!
Anyway, the guy was pleasant enough, but he contacts the head of extortion at their firm who quotes me an outrageous £750 to complete the repair!
The full scope was trimmed back to a basic fix for around half that and repair was then completed in about 20 minutes using parts worth around £50.
Basically, it’s not rocket science, but if just you don’t challenge the price, you will just end up paying the equivalent to a NASA astronauts hourly rate for a minor mechanical fix.

Foolishly didn't shop around, thought it was a local company I had used before 10 years ago. Website had local town and phone number but technician came from 60 mikes away. He was very polite. I agreed to get work done as he had the cable in the van. Really annoyed I agreed to the work and then paid before he left. I wanted it done before going back to work. He couldn't tell me the part costs but since then I have found companies who would do it for a third of the cost.

Be careful with this company. Booked appt online for next day in the afternoon as tel number seemed to be based locally so was hoping for quick reliable repair to garage door which their website indicated was usually possible.
They contacted me by text early the next day when I was away from home indicating they could see me now which Didn’t suit me but we agreed 9.am appt. Youngish chap arrived from Wudhus who I assume was linked to GDF. The guy indicated straightaway with little investigation the doors were too old we can’t get parts only option is to cut wire on one side to allow door to close and his company would be in touch v shortly with price for new door . A minute later I was called advising door would need to be specially made cost in excess £2,500 and take over 4 weeks to be delivered. Fortunately I decided to investigate further and try a proper local company who also agreed to come out within a couple of hours. They repaired the door in less than an hour in a knowledgeable and efficient way. I would not recommend GDF or Wudhus and be careful if the business appears to be local using in my case an 01344 local telephone number then a 6 digit number starting with a 9. I noticed on google another company with same booking system and similar but not same telephone number . Suggest you try local company with local address and try ringing them first to see how knowledgeable they are before using them.

My garage door was blocked so I called GDF. One person arrived in time the next morning and told me that most likely an aluminum bar is bent. Then they gave me a quote of £216. I didn't know exactly what the fix involved, if they needed parts, so I agreed.
The job took less than 10 minutes and consisted in unscrewing 2 screws to release an aluminum bar, straightening the bar by hand, screwing it back. This was the most expensive service I ever paid for, no doubt. Fooled me once ...

The whole process was simple and went without any issues. It was also vey quick.

Great service from Peter who assessed the problem and then returned to repair it when the parts arrived. Quick, efficient, polite and friendly. Garage door now running smoothly. Not a cheap fix but happy to pay given the quality of service I received.
