Car in Istanbul…bad experience.. dishonest.. no English!
I rented a car for a trip in Istanbul with them through RentaCars.com, great deal!! When I picked it up the offered me a FULL insurance deal with which supposedly I was going to be covered for anything could happen even without getting a police report. When I returned my car, at time of the inspection they noticed something at the bottom of the front bumper and questioned me. I was very not aware of any problems with it and so I stated. The agent called the manager who greeted me looked at it and stated: no problem, you are covered anyway..... I was asked to signs a paper ("a receipt") in their Turkish language with no English translation and I was not given a copy but promised one on my email. Guess what?! I was charged $700 extra on my card, never got a receipt if not after digging and digging, and way too late to claim a well documented dispute with my card by the deadline. That's it, I lost $700, the gained $700, they probably repaired their car for free (whatever was wrong with it with it if anything at all!) with the full coverage insurance paid for by me. Very dishonest, very disappointed, never again!!

This company is a scammer.
I hired 11 days of rent with a total of AUD1,100 (which makes sense since we compared to several others), but they asked to split the bill: AUD800 (via credit card) and another AUD300 (in cash, they put it in an envelope). They said it's normal to do that in Turkey (Surely a scam, but after 20 hours of flight, you didn't have enough energy to argue). Then, the invoice came out with only AUD800. Is that an extra 300 for their pocket?
There was no issue with the car. We returned it safely. But then, when we left the country, they kept charging my credit card with things we didn't know what it was used for. We paid the deposit, tol, extra insurance. I emailed them, but no one replied. Such a sketchy scammer. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY.
Keep away from this company.
Unfortunately there is no option for 0 star. Terrible service. You don't get what you pay for. Scammers.
Esperienza positiva
Ero un po’ spaventato nel leggere le tante recensioni negative. Ma devo dire che invece la mia esperienza con Garenta all’aeroporto di Kayseri è stata più che positiva. Noleggiata un’auto per 7, mi hanno fatto un upgrade gratuito a un van da 9. A 3 gg dal ritorno mi hanno riaccreditato la caparra. Veloce la consegna e veloce la riconsegna. Non posso che consigliarli.
Worst ever - avoid at all cost
After waiting for more than one hour in the queue - problem with previous customer - we have been told that the 7 seat car we have bookes was not available because of "damages".
The guy made fun of us and refused to give us two smaller car, because he would not have made enough money.
He told us to put our 2 years old daughter on our lap.
We came with our 5 kids and had to find another rental company..
Needless to say, this company is a scam.

Şubedeki personel Yusuf bey bizimle iyi ilgilendi. Internetten "Carjet.com" uygulamasından aracı 4 haftalık kiraladım. Kiralarken 15000 km mesafe sürme hakkı var diye geçiyor du ve o yüzden garentadan kiraladım. Aracı aldıktan sonra kontratta bir ay için sadece 3000 km ama günlük 500 km diye saçmalıklar yazıyordu. Ne yazık ki çok yerleri gezemedim, çok yerleri iptal ettim bu yıl daki tatilimde. Istediğim araç 4 hafta için 884€ tuttu ön ödeme 141€ yaptım. Sipariş ettiğim araç olmadığı için farklı araba verdiler ve onun için daha yüksek depozito (120€) benden istendi. Arabayı pazar günü geri verdim ve hala depozitoyu geri ödemediler. Araç temiz di, komforluydu, işlemler aracı alırken ve verirken hızlı geçti. Aracı havalimanın dışında servisle alabildik. Ilk verilen aracın teknik problemleri vardı, 5 dk. Sonra geri döndük ve onuda değiştirdiler. 300 km fazla mesafe yaptık üstüne 560 tl. aldılar. Maalesef km paketleri şubede sormadılar. Günlük 500 km aylık 3000 km uygulaması her sorduğum kişiye çok saçma geldi.

Bei der Buchung hieß es 15000 freie km. Nach der Buchung hieß es 3000 km vorort. Das gewünschte Auto war nicht mehr da, so wurde mir ein anderes zur Verfügung gestellt und von mir eine höhere Kaution verlangt. Die Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs ist eine Woche her und die Kaution wurde mir immer noch nicht wieder gutgeschrieben.
Never ever rent from Garenta
Never ever rent from Garenta. I have been to Turkey twice, and both times I rented cars. I have rented from Garenta and Windycars. From that experience, I’m telling you that NEVER EVER RENT FROM GARENTA. Their cars are not well maintained and we had pay for Adblue from our pocket which was not reimbursed. They don't return your deposit and never send you a full invoice. When we contact them through the WhatsApp number they give us, they won’t reply to your messages or pick up the call. I tried contacting them by email, but I didn’t get a reply by email either. Windycars' service was much better when I rented out one of their cars in Cappadocia. I would never rent from GARENTA again. Such an irresponsible bunch of people running a greedy company.
Never ever use Garenta
We were given a car where air was leaking from the left front wheal, which was apparent from the dashboard. After driving 30min we returned to the office, they claimed that it was just a technical issue due to the high temperature. After 1 week driving, the tire was flat out in no where.
No support at all from Garenta, we had to organise a replacement tire our selves, pay for it and when we returned the car they charged for a new tire claiming it was not the correct one.
At return of car, the Garenta personel claimed that they had, had issues with the credit card provided at inception so they had to take a new foto. Within 48hours they had withdrawn max from the card.
This company is based on fraud. Goes without saying I’ll never use it again.

I used them once, never again it took me and my wife about 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete everything because the girl in the office was useless and kept making mistakes at the end the system declined my credit card and wouldn’t except it
She called a man who turned up later very relaxed not rushing at all he had a go and couldn’t get it working and asked me if I could find another credit card from a Turkish relative which was rather very embarrassing for me
We had a delay flight , it had been very long day and my wife was suffering but they didn’t seem care
At the end I asked my sister for her credit card so we can finish this pain and to the our hotel
The show me the car, it was battered !! Oldest one in the fleet
They made me buy tyre insurance as well as some additional accident insurance extra and told me if I had any problems, just give us a call we come to you and replace the car
Following next they i had a flat tyre outside my hotel (later tyre shop told me this looks like an old damage they probably pumped it up so you can get here)
Phoned them up, they told me you get it fixed yourself and keep the receipt and we pay you back which was a lie because on the returning the car back i phoned them 2 hours before and reminded them about the receipt and the refund
The guy who picked the car up told me he had no idea about hole thing and the office never told him anything and if I want my money back I must go to the office which was located 20 minutes away from the departures
At the end I had to leave it and went in to the airport
Didn’t get my money and wasn’t happy with service ( everything from start to finish)
SCAM - Money taken from me for a hidden scratch
I recently hired a car from Garenta, in Bodrum centre, GARENTA BODRUM, ÇARŞI OTO KİRALAMA GELİRLERİ.
The price was reasonable, and having regularly hired cars in other countries, I've never had an issue, as I'm a safe and experienced driver.
When I took the car, I took a full video of the bodywork of the car. On returning the vehicle, which was driven extremely carefully throughout the 3 days, the guy checked the car and found a scratch which was not visible, it was in fact under the bodywork, so it was interesting that he found it! It was a scam, and I argued that there is no way I caused that damage and how convenient that it wasn't visible and could only be found by bending down and looking under the car. He let me go in the end, and I hoped he would realise that I knew it was a scam and therefore he wouldn't proceed. A few days later I received an email in Turkish and 3500 TL was taken from my credit card.
The guy knew exactly where the scratch was, as I suspect this is something that has been done before, but of course I could not prove it was not already there.
I doubt I'd bother to hire a car again after this, and not sure I'd even bother returning to Türkiye, but wanted to warn others to be careful. I can't be bothered to fight it - I wouldn't win, but a very disappointing experience. I have shared this on 3 local Expat Facebook groups, to warn others. What these companies fail to realise is that ripping off customers may create short term gain, but getting bad reviews and no return business is very short sighted. If tourists come to a country, they don't want to be ripped off, we have many countries to choose from and Bodrum is reliant on tourism!

Good experince that made our holiday.
Arranged car hire from the Alanya branch from the UK. Went to branch on the day of collection and car was there ready. The process was quick and easy although there was a language issue as they didn't speak English but hey I don't speak Turkish so that is not their fault. Anyway with google and pointing everything was sorted quickly an efficiently.
They took a deposit on my credit card but this is standard with car hire. This was returned less than a week later.
The car we got was exactly what we ordered and was spotless. It had only done 14k Kilometers when we collected. One thing I will say is on first drive out the Ad Blue light came on and had to get some at petrol station so had not been filled up.
On drop off they checked round the car and confirmed everything was Okay and processed the credit to credit card.
I had nothing but a good experience and would use again and recommend you to use them. Having a good car made our holiday so we could drive to all the places we wanted to see.

Terrible experience. They made us wait more than 5 hours before giving us our car because they were having issues with their payment system (despite the fact that we had already paid online and they only needed to charge the deposit - €50). In the end, we were advised to leave because it looked like the issue wouldn’t have been solved any time soon. Obviously, there was no compensation for the time we wasted because of them. The guys at the desk were really nice, yet still their manners couldn’t make up for the nightmare we had to go through. STAY AWAY.

Aslında böyle bir şey yok insanları kandırıyorlar kendi başlarına iş çıkarıp bence şirketleri haberdar olmadan usulsüzlük yapıyorlar belkide benim başıma geldi, müşteri hizmetleri'ne şikayet'te bulundum cevaplarını bekliyorum lütfen her kimse bu şube'den araç kiralamak isterse yazdığım şikayeti dikkat'te alsın. Teşekkürler
Professional and great service
Family of 5 picked up a car from Gazipasa airport at Garenta. We had the exact car as we ordered and it only had 7.000 km on the road. The rental agent was very polite and helpfull and did not try to push extra insurance on the rental. The best place to rent a car and very professional. If you travel to Alanya do not hesitate to book your car here. We will choose them for sure again.
