GO Outdoors - Halifax (Express) Reviews 

Called in to get my autistic son some walking shoes. He has sensory issues, especially with his feet and socks on how they feel. I explained this to the staff member who was upstairs in the shoe section and he was so good at helping us. It really helped our shopping experience. My son tried on 2 pairs of shoes and then we even moved on to hiking socks. This was such a big achievement for us. Thank you so much.

In store pick up, meant I could choose a local store where I could collect rather than having to take time off work waiting for a parcel delivery. I would have bought locally but the offer was online and the product was not on display locally. It’s a small shop and staff are great.

Steve and Dave were very helpful and friendly. Fussed our dogs and gave them treats. Excellent service.

I had limited time on a visit to Halifax and wanted to buy walking boots amd a rucksack. The advice and help I got from Alex and Steve was a politely 1st rate. I walked away really thrilled at my purchases. The advice was helpful, concise and clear. They listened to what I wanted, worked around a tricky brief (Im mid 60s with swollen feet and ankles) and came.up woth the perfect walking boots all in minutes. I didn't miss my train, amd walked to the station with everything Id come for. Excellent ambassadors for your chain. Funny, helpful and professional

Called at the Halifax Express store today to pick up some new walking boots ! We were greeted by Steve and Alex who made every effort to match our needs without pressure just friendly experienced advice ! I found the perfect pair for me at a great price unfortunately didn’t have my son’s size in the boots he wanted but he was pointed in the right direction by Steve ! All in all a great shop I’ll be using again ! 10/10 👍

I purchased an item which was tagged as £23 for members or "retail price" of £45. Membership cost me £5, so I was misled into believing that I'd saved £17 by paying the membership fee. A quick Google search, which admittedly I should have done before supporting this business, revealed the exact same item for, lo and behold, £23! Not £45. I returned to the store to request a refund for the membership but was refused. I hope the £5 you scammed me out of was worth the 1 star review. 👍

I was assisted by Alex and Steve today. I haven’t been in the shop before/for a long time and was very happy with their expertise and the advice I was given. Such a nice change to talk to floor staff who know their subject and helpfulness without pressure to buy. Will definitely use ‘Go Outdoors’ again.

Came to go outdoors in Halifax to try and find a waterproof jacket last minute. Alex and Steve were so helpful and I found exactly what I needed. Great customer service!

A member of staff called Evie helped me to pick the best socks suitable for my intended use, they have worked so well to keep me warm in the climate im using them in.

Great experience when trying to find a perfect walking boot, found a lovely brown North Ridge pair in the sale and Alex was brilliant with his advise and customer service skills as tried a number of different pairs on.

I'm a member & was really disappointed when one of my walking boots failed. The toe cap came "unstuck" & was flapping around as I walked. I'd had them a while but they'd not seen a lot of use. No cobbler would touch them. I went into store and met Jack, who apologised and looked up my membership which had just expired. He could see that one boot was still "perfect" so it was obviously a faulty seal. I was delighted that he offered me a a generous offer towards any new pair of boots. This time I chose Peter Storm, their "Own brand" and have tested them out on 5 walks now. They're great! I am a very satisfied customer & have told my friends about the experience . "Hat's off" to supervisor (Jack?) for great customer service.

Two extremely friendly and helpful male assistants. I had found a pair of women’s hiking boots on the website. One pair of size 5 were shown to be at the Halifax store. The assistants immediately located the pair and the whole purchase took a total of a few minutes. I was advised to renew my Go Outdoors
Membership card so that I could access the discount.

NEW YEAR NEW SHOES
I was greeted at the shop door with an acknowledgement of hello. I enquired about mens walking shoes and was directed upstairs. I asked the shop assistant I now know as Nicola where the shoes were. I explained my feet are a full shoe size different. She helped me select a shoe I liked and gave me walking socks to try them on. After a few trials I was happy with my selection. Nicola advised me to wear them at home first and if I wasn't happy with them I could return them, that's the first time I have been given that advice in 60 years of buying footware.

Alex and Steve were superb - but to be honest I’ve come to expect great things in the Halifax store !
Alex took a great deal of time to advise about thermal layers for my husband who’s a wheelchair user - he was so thoughtful and thorough
