GO Outdoors - Ipswich Reviews 

I placed an order on the 1st of August to be told it would take 3-5 working days, I rang the Ipswich store on 7th of August to be told it was still in the lorry, the reason I ordered it early is because my son was go travelling on Wednesday 12th August, I was told I could purchase a bag, today is now 13th August, I am Still waiting for an email/ phone call regarding the bag, so I ended up buying another bag for my son on Sunday on 8th August, so now it results in me being out of pocket by £55, that’s £25 on the bag I ordered on 1st August & £ 30 for the bag on Sunday 8th August, it might not sound a lot of money to most people, but when you are on a budget, I’ve had no communication whatsoever from Go Outdoors, as a big company you were quick enough to take my money, but your not quick enough to deliver my product or even return my money,
I certainly won’t be shopping here again & I certainly won’t be recommending your company to anyone

Great range of products & staff really helpful.

Great experience at Go Outdoors in Ipswich just now. I only needed some tent pegs. First a member of staff directed me to where they were; then at the checkout Matt went on to explain the savings if I become a member. Glad I did. Left the store happy.

Not great I’m afraid. Brought my purchases to the till and was asked to buy member ship, have recently moved so asked the till guy to check address as I usually buy from the store. Informed I had no membership on any of my given addresses. So reluctantly paid my fiver despite being sure I had it. Asked the chap to change my address but blunt no, need to call customer services. This was all at Ipswich on Monday. Went to Colchester today and popped into there store and very different. Checked my addresses, verified I had membership for over two months, changed my address all at the till. TIL got charged for membership because the chap at the till really couldn’t care much.

Great service at Go Outdoors Ipswich today! Emma G on the shopfloor was really helpful and patient (despite being injured!) and gave great advice about which deals were available. Matt on the till was also very friendly and helpful. I managed to get everything needed for a first camping trip, at a great price.

Matt was very helpful and friendly and got me sorted with everything I was looking for.

At the till, the cashier, Matt, was enormously helpful and having looked at the shoes I was buying, suggested that they looked like they had been worn due to the discoloured sole. He arranged with the manager for an increased discount, totally unprompted by me. This was really helpful for me. He was polite, friendly and made my shopping experience very positive.

Denise and Sue at Ipswich GO Outdoors were amazing. Denise spent over an hour with me trying to find the best hiking boots, in my last minute purchase. Day after I was already trying it out in Tatra Mountains, no blisters, perfect pair of boots.

We were helped today for nearly an hour by Belle - she was amazing, I have small but wide feel and she brought me countless pairs of boots to try on and was brimming with great advice. I was struck by how important it was to help me select the right pair of boots as opposed to just selling me a pair. Thank you Belle - can’t recommend your service highly enough. Yin.

I've been shopping with Go Outdoors for 4 years now, and have never been disappointed with any purchase, I renew my membership yearly to take advantage of the fantastic deals they have on offer regularly for members.

Denise was most helpful and professional.

Matt was excellent and informative as we checked out, he made sure we knew all the tips and tricks to camping and that we were happy with all our purchases. he throughly explained any returns if we needed and was amazing. 10/10 recommendation

We went to the Ipswich store today to buy a tent. We’re not seasoned campers and asked for some help. We were really lucky to be helped by Emma who was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. After choosing our tent we were directed to the till and we were served by the also very friendly and cheerful Laura. Great customer service like this is not always easy to find, thank you!

My Husband went to find a member of staff to talk to us about the tents and other items we wanted for our first camping experience, he was a very helpful even got us a trolley to load our equipment on to. then he took our trolley to the tills.We also had a helpful cashier on the till and another memeber of staff taking our trolley to our car and loading our car with the items we bought.The staff names were Dan, Laura and MAx

Great service with my click and collect order - really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. And they were really helpful with items that were out of stock on my order and ensuring I got what I needed so thanks Matt, Katie and Laura. I really appreciate it.
