It’s a big bright store. Well spaced out with clearly marked sections.
Staff are generally chatty and helpful with anything you ask about. Otherwise they leave you to browse.

TBH i was not impressed with the build of my new bike i collect last Thursday (23/04/2026) I had to go over and check everything to the point I should have just built it myself. For a bike thats supposed to have been built ready to ride....it would have been a death trap, and potential damage to the bike. To list some of things I found, both bolts loose on front brake caliper, the caliper was moving freely. Dropper post poorly fitted, far too much cable allowed for. Storage frame bolts loose, on the verge of falling out had I done any riding. On a £2200 bike I was not impressed, would I take it back for 6 week safety check......i dont think so. When working on any bike they should have their work checked and double checked as it could have caused an accident or damaged the bike.

Struggling with a health condition but still wanting be active, I found it really hard to find comfortable walking shoes. Having been unsuccessful on line, decided to seek help in store. Staff were amazing & very knowledgeable. Made such a difference. So helpful. Big shout out to Dani & Matt especially.

Excellent service today, Denise was extremely helpful, she gave me really useful information about the products which allowed me to make informed purchases. Matt on the till was helpful to sort a query about the members card. Totally a great experience! Thank you!

Needed a new pair of two season walking boots and was helped out by Denise and Matt at the Ipswich Whitehouse estate store, both very knowledgeable and helpful, tried several different pairs they suggested and came away with a great pair of boots at a great price - Thank you Denise and thank you Matt 👍🏻

Denise assisted us with footwear, she was very attentive and very kind, discussing walking and nature with my young daughter whilst supporting her to try on boots. She held a lot of knowledge regarding which footwear was best for which activity. Nothing was too much trouble. I really enjoyed talking to her too.

I went in for a puncture repair kit and was helped by Bill. He was so patient, kind and knowledgeable - a hat trick! He helped me find the right product and even waited while I consulted with my other half on the phone. He also didn't push me to buy unnecessary products and made sure I had the correct one. Thank you Bill, you shining star!

Had to buy a lot of things, an employee named Matt was really helpful and assisted with them And over an hour of buying things, the person in the register named dean was really polite and scanned our items like it was no problem- a big thank you to both of them!

Brilliant helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and patient support from Denise while looking for a new pair of walking shoes (and trying multiple pairs on!). If Denise hadn’t been as helpful I probably would have been overwhelmed and ended up not buying anything, instead of my very comfortable new shoes.
