GO Outdoors - Manchester Reviews 

I found on several occations Harrison was very helpful with showing me where things were located in the store. And I find Craig is always professional and helpful on the service checkout. I recommend this GoOutdoors branch in Ancoats Manchester a must for all serious campers and first time campers alike.

I had my feet measured and sized up for shoes, my stride was checked and how I plant my feet on the floor, the shop assistant used the tools he had at hand, offered advice, listened to me explained and provided information and answered and addressed any queries I had. The correct type of shoe to fit my feet was explained and the best ones for me available in the correct size from that shop at the time were offered, I wasn't misled or mis sold. It was quite quiet at the time which possibly contributed to the store assistant's ability and reduces stress levels form external environmental stimuli, but I was still a very pleasant easy shopping experience. There was also a couple of staff member at the till area who were very helpful, a lady named Lina who is fit and healthy looking, attractive with a good posture and pleasant approachable physical demeanour, I struggle with some minor things in particular environments as I have mild dyslexia and to be able to feel comfortable asking someone to read the small print along with myself not out loud to me but along with each other to confirm or dismiss any worries and uncertainties to prevent me from reading the label over and over and over and getting stuck in a loop. Lina also has a lovely, relaxing tone of voice for anyone who can become overstimulate or suffers regular sensory overload. She's just right in the correct areas for people who need someone to be just about right for them, anything else can be built upon which makes Lina a person who can work very well to support people with high functioning ASD like myself in particular environments a credit to the workforce, the rest of the staff on that particular day were also very good for high functioning ASD especially Asperger's like myself who will ask to confirm and/or try to figure out with someone else, I know that know body knows everything in an instant and some people trip up over their words, I do we all do and it is to be expected. The go outdoors looks bog standard to the naked eye when it comes to customer service but it really isn't and for whatever reason be it personal live experience or just random chance occurrence the team at go outdoors if feel were exceptional and need very little in ways of improvement to meet any of my needs as a person with high functioning ASD Asperger's syndrome, ADHD mainly inattentive, light sensitivity and mild dyslexia. There are some minor issues with the stoking of some brand product ranges such as high 5 and SIS, which I use for running and cycling they like most other high street retailers only stock a very limited amount of electrolytes without any of the branded protein and replenishment shakes which work together, this may be a marketing effort to have people shop online and research the brand but I am a person who likes to shop on the high street and I know that the individual portioned sachets of high 5 and SIS protein and replenishment shakes are highly sought after and are specific to meet the needs of runners and cyclists along with the electrolytes. They are a very valuable product and work extremely well when used correctly and appropriately, why are they no longer on the shelves ?

I had to make a trip more than once this week on a Monday and Tuesday to the store to get some essentials and last minute advice and guides before I head to work as staff member at festival for few days and the help and staff and customer service I received and was welcomed with and show and delivered was great and fantastic, I explained to one member named Joe about a tent I felt unsure about and considered purchasing some extra equipment in case it was not durable or reliable compared to the ones I have previously purchased from the store as this one was more spacious, even though the store ones looks great with all the the selections of tents and equipment and even bikes and repair section in the store, on display the second you walk in the store great visit highly recommend for anyone planning a camping trip and going to outdoor events or festivals to purchase your supplies and essential, and joe showed me where to locate what I may need and very helpful, unsure of the precise specifications, he recommended I come be an the next day to get a better idea of my tent In person. Although I couldn’t find him on my visit the next day, I was offered the help of another and just as equally and great and knowledgeable and attentive staff member named Josh who took the time to help me out with the tent and double check and reassured it was a good tent and product overall and similar to the ones in store and additionally took the time to also demonstrate the best way to not just set it up, but to also pack it back up with great ease when it’s time to use and some great and VERY USEFUL TIPS TO REMEMBER, VERY MUCH NEEDED👍 overall great store, great selections and even greater and approachable and nice staff thanks again!

harrison amazing guy took me through everything. Tents,chairs,mats literally everything. Craig at the till also very quick and helped me set up my membership.

Really friendly store. Ian provided excellent customer service. He was friendly and patient whilst I tried on a lot of different shoes and gave me some great advice.

The shop always has what I need, and the service is friendly and speedy ! Was helped by Craig today - he was great !

It was, however, really hot in the shop - I would consider putting in air conditioning, as it meant that I was reluctant to browse.
