Excellent Customer Service
Veronica provided excellent customer service. I called ahead to check the product was available. Veronica explained the membership and discount. I visited the stored and was served quickly. Veronica explained further membership benefits and the returns policy. I am a happy customer! I purchased exactly what I wanted, at a competitive price and had a positive experience. The assistant, Ciaran, was very helpful. The store was quiet. It was a good experience. Though they didn't have boots in the colour I wanted, but they offered alternatives.

Ciaran was so attentive and was really kind and very helpful and I am older and was in need of advice for a future trip. I bought great trainers and hope to wear them in the house to check comfy. Ciaran advised me to take the GoOutdoors card as i will be buying clothing for my trip very soon and as i need quick dry for trekking it means i get a little discount. Great experience I will be back.

Helpfully introduced to GoOutdoors and various discounts and communications available when signing up to loyalty scheme, including National Trust discount.
Just slightly disappointed that membership has an annual fee (got it back with discount in one purchase but price of item at Blacks previously was the same).

Rude and arrogant manager
My wife was looking for a pair of walking shoes and selected a one off the display showing a member price of £85 plus a membership of £5. When we went to pay for it the price was nearer £150. The assistant was confused and asked the manager to check. He eventually strolled down the stairs looking very disinterested. After a couple of minutes he said that the shoes were on the wrong stand and the price on the till was correct. He flatly refused my request to honour the price advertised with a smirk on his face.
