Gym Direct Reviews 

Placed an order on the 02/04/20, minimal correspondence received from gym direct regarding approximate (or even estimated) dispatch dates for my goods. It has now been almost 11 weeks and I’m still being told vague time frames on when it may potentially be delivered. My response from the ACCC reads as the following :

“If you pay a business for a product or service, that business must supply you when it said it would. It's illegal for a business to accept payment for products or services they don't intend to supply. If you didn't agree when the business would supply you, the business must ensure delivery within a reasonable time. Businesses must also supply you with the product or service that you agreed to buy, not something different.

If a business can't supply you as agreed, you're entitled to a refund. The business can offer to fix the problem by offering replacement products or services but it's up to you whether you agree to accept them.”

I have already requested a refund and will be following up with Queensland Office of Fair Trading if that request is not met. I would suggest anyone else having the same issue to do the same.

Time to stop using the covid 19 excuse team, the pandemic didn’t start last week, I’ve ordered other fitness items from other companies (dynamo fitness, gym and fitness, both providing prompt service and delivery of a range of items).

Yet another example of a fitness supplier that has taken advantage of people panic buying and taken hard earned money with items falsely being advertised as in stock on their website.

This is one of the worst companies I have had the misfortune to deal with. Purchased some dumbbells via ebay 8th April and was delivered the wrong product on 1st July.
They can not be contacted via phone and numerous emails have been ignored.
Use this company at your peril - money disappears into the ether

Many other reviews says it all. Gym Direct is terrible with business and communication. COVID delivery times were grossly incorrect. They have disabled their phone system and do not reply to emails. Only until you start a dispute (mine with PayPal) do they reply with a new estimated delivery date ignoring the request for a refund. Sounds like they are trying to be cheeky and attempting to string us along until the sub par equipment is in our possession. If the refund is ignored and the equipment arrives we will proceed with fair trading. I (and many others) do not recommend buying from here. Be careful with other review sites, outdated 5 star reviews are at the top and 1 stars are hidden (or fake reviews written by the company staff). This bias is dishonest.

Order my product Half Rack Assault Rack around early April so Ashley has been following up with me by email. Hopefully, the product will arrive this month as I can see many reviews point out Gym Direct provide good quality products than what I expected, and please don’t let me down.

Maybe Gym Direct should STOP writing fake 4/5 star reviews and reply to customer emails?? Making an absolute mockery of the review system. Disgraceful.

I was initially told from friends that GymDirect was a great and trusted website to purchase from.

In March, I purchased adjustable weights and was informed that due to COVID, estimated dispatch would be at the end of April to early May.

In between that time, Gym Direct sent an email to customers advising that purchases made on the date of my purchase or prior, would be delayed until the end of May.

In early June I emailed the sales team to check where my item was. I was advised that there were further delays and dispatch was estimsted to be late in June.

I requested a refund due to being utterly mislead in my purchase. I received an email quite some days later stating that my request was being considered.

It was been over a week and I am still yet to be advised of an outcome or even if my item is being dispatched.

The sales team take approximately an entire working week to reply to emails and it is ridiculous.

I still have not been provided with what I purchased, nor a refund and the sales team responses are not satisfactory at all.

How cool is this? I ordered Commercial 2 station power racks from Sale Team Joe and it was a hard decision because the price is quite expensive, but Joe has been provided a lot of professional advice to me. I guess the product takes more time to deliver to my home during the COVID19 so I will let you guys know the quality lol.

Would honestly rank lower if I could.

Much in the same vein as others - ordered at the back end of March - no responses to emails, no order fulfilment, no refund.

The lack of regard for their customers, is deplorable. Yes. We get it. There was an influx of orders. Yes, supply chains were disrupted. But with all the $$ taken upfront from people, you would hope they’d do something like, I dunno, put an extra customer service person or two on to help out with the enquires? I’m sure there’s enough out of work people who’d be glad to help.

You can’t have it both ways.

Taking the orders and the cash, then saying you’re too flat out to reply to emails.

Misleading consumers around stock levels, and delivery time frames, then having the audacity to charge people a refund fee.

Ordered items labelled in-stock on 23/3 with full understanding that these are unprecedented times and there would be delays in dispatch. Over the following 2.5 months Gymdirect have continually outdone themselves with a complete lack of customer service and transparency regarding a likely timeframe of dispatch. Estimated dispatch went from a few weeks to a month to a couple of months with either no reply to emails or a generic reply which didn't address the question. The company's management have clearly failed to adjust their systems for the increase in demand, and continue to keep phone lines unhooked 3 months later to avoid direct contact with customers. All in all, a terrible experience and wish the company was transparent initially so I could have cancelled the order 2 months ago and looked elsewhere. The 2% cancellation fee was a nice touch to cap off my experience. AVOID

Deleted my last review as the items I have received are doing me good for now but I’m still waiting on parts which make up a good portion of my equipment. The bundle I ordered advertised all these exercises that I would be able to do and all though I’m happy with the equipment I have the stuff that is missing means most of what I was told I could do with it I currently can’t. I know you guys read these reveiws so I just want to know what’s happening. It’s been almost two weeks since any sort of communication has been received and I’m getting no reply’s I just want to know where things are. My order number is 44949 and would appreciate a reply. I will change this review once I’ve received some communication.

I’ve been waiting 3 years for my equipment to arrive, I understand covid 19 has delayed it some more but would be nice to get it soon, developing a twitch in my eye and suppressing my anger, don’t know how long I can hold it for. HELP!!!

Great product of PAIR of 2.5KG technique plates and finally received last week. The quality of the product it was very profitable, and I love their discount offer. I received their promote email and follow up email very often so I believe other feedback from the customer it was real, and I will give Gym Direct for 5 STAR lol.

As others have pointed out, the positive reviews are clearly fake with similar reviews and writing styles used. I purchased from this company 10 weeks ago with zero communication from them.

Shameful. Do not buy from this company.

Oh well, I sent a few emails to their company but always auto-reply that was a bit worried about my Bumper Plates no sure my product will be safe to home or not lol. Received a full email from their customer service team explain the process and delay problem which is good to hear. Better you guys keep tracking my order because I do not want to waste any time writing a complaint email & feedback. I was brought Degree Hyperextension on their website because it was on sale thought the price was very cheap, but I have been still waiting on the product. I was a bit worry about because as see other 1-star review and I received the phone yesterday their sale team Chris explained the situation they are face on which is quietly acceptable during the COVID-19. Hopefully, everything will become better and better.

I sent a few emails to them as only received autoreply every time I emailed, which quite annoying until Chris call me up to explain the product delay and I felt they are dealing with a lot of orders. Luckily, I order early May can’t complain with them much. Hopefully, I can see your good quality products as other people said.

Love the gym commercial flooring black LOL!!!! It was cheaper than the other (on a discount) so I can give it to all my employees. Tiny lack communication at the beginning but totally understandable - how busy you guys are.
Keep this up Gym Direct and thank you to the high-quality products.

Referral by my friends because they recommend Gym Direct products were of good quality, so I have been ordered in early March but waiting a bit longer and lack of communication. However, I finally received Bench Press yesterday which was great, and the product was good quality.

I will be said you guys have to improve communication with customers and let more people know the order will be a delay and Thanks Ashely your follow up email.

Very happy with my purchase, shipping time was longer due to Covid, but I wasn't fussed just happy I got one.
