Haawk provides a service for artists (or their the artisitic license holders) to protect their creation, which is legal and makes sense.

Where they really fall down is with a poor business model that doesn't address the realities of posters creating multiple videos with content that is already licensed. Their lack of effort in identifying existing license holders BEFORE adding a copyright claim on Youtube is lazy, time consuming for the creator and simply not up to 2021 standards.

If you have content you want others to license and use WITHOUT being hassled, look elsewhere.

Spamming service bugs you for already licenced files in hope you forgot you bought our couldn't locate your license, and they stole your ad revenue from your pocket. Artist beware. Don't use aggressive services like this if you don't want to antagonize your paying clients!!

HAAWK is trying to claim music in my Mass Effect video on behalf of Alex Khaskin who is never mentioned in the credits and is apparently known to steal music, apply some extra sounds then reupload it as their own. The music is property of EA, Bioware and the musicians involved, not some fraudulent company and its "people".

You do not own anything, HAAWK :^)

One of the worst companies ever to be on a music copyright site throwing false claims on channels with uncopyrighted music. Rya Born is the user who is from a '3rd party' company. Either you sort your s*** out for the problems caused and double check the reforms if they are copyrighted or not or the s*** will suffocate you! Stop false copyright striking small users. You won't rip a piece of candy from a child then why are you falsely striking copyright on another user's channels with royalty free music? Thats Section 106 on the copyright act and article 17 violated. Check the copyright law first PROPERLY before proceeding on your business!

They copyright royalty free samples and stuff protected under Creative Commons for fair use. Pretty self explanatory on why I’m dissatisfied with HAAWK

Absolutely awful bunch of scammers. They seem to just shotgun their copyright claims in the hopes that creators wont dispute. I have licensed many music tracks off stock sites, just to have HAWWK try to claim the adrev. Absolutely no scruples with these people.... A warning to Music Artists: I no longer license my stock music from Pond5 or AudioJungle due to excessive HAWWK Harassment on the tracks I get from those places. I go elsewhere now. Artists should strongly consider other means to enforce copyright than using bottom feeders like HAWWK.

This haawk is just another capitalizing #$## group of unemployables that are preying on every video so they can feed their $## $@#@ children.

Why was my video hit with copyright at 3:50 to 7:00 in the video I uploaded to youtube?
Because I uploaded a video to youtub of a laptop being repaired so my customer that owns the laptop can see the graphics are working fine. Simply due to a middle-portion of the video showing a table, a wall, a laptop playing a crappy song on complicit youtube was apparently enough for the haawk vulture to cleverly avoid getting gainful employment as opposed to trolling for pennies from heaven.

Clearly my video ought to be obvious to a duck that it falls under the copyright clause of (I won't bother to link the video here because once again I'll just have to use yandex or dailymotion or one of the less-constrictive video sites.

scam firm claiming falsely that they have a copyright to music on YT which is insane cause I have proof that I have a full right to use it!
I read a bit and there are a ton o similar cases so it is not a mistake but a strategy to gain money out of thin air...

This company is claiming rights on YouTube for music they don't even own.

Update 09.07.2020: Now i got a friendly email and it seems to be a youtube problem. Also the song claimed had a similar title.

Horrible company. They have an option to whitelist your channel, but when you email them asking to do it they tell you to contact the artist. Then why offer the option? All they do is copy/paste a boiler plate response when you contact them.. If you used multiple audio tracks from their artists, they will just hit you with a copyright claim every other week, hoping it's not worth your time to fight it, so they can collect revenue on your videos. Since they won't whitelist my channel, I have asked to have them scan my channel for all copyright claims at once so I don't have to do it every other week. Guess, what, no response. The ONLY response they send is a copy/text boiler plate response from the same guy... Adam at Identifyy... probably a bot. I hope artists know how awful Haawk is to work with.

DON'T USE HAAWK they have outdated tech that doesn't monitor correctly for their customers. EXAMPLE HAAWK is slapping copyright claims on members of sites like VIDEOHIVE.COM AND MOTIONARRAY.COM on Music that videohive and motionarray members pay fees for exclusive royalty free rights to use some and it's not cheap BTW and videohive and motionarray handle with half baked businesses like HAAWK on the daily.
