A bit of USA in a proper American diner experience
Visited Harleys American Diner in Paignton for a birthday meal and had a fabulous time there. Loved the free car park. The Diner is a whiz of American placards, signs , memorabilia, and laid out well to facilitate coming and and going - enough space around the tables which I love, a great bar good staff on hand. The huge menu is a typical American Roadhouse extravaganza. There is so much choice from starters , breakfasts, pancakes, steaks, chicken , hamburgers of course , tacos - and a good vegan choice. Good puddings too. Had a great burger and a combo , great milkshakes as starters which were really tasty. The vibe is really something when you there as I am so tired of drab normal ineteriors of many eating houses this was a real pleasure to visit. Had of course a Jack Daniels to ensure the smoked Amercican tradition finished on a high note. Loved the experience and will return shortly. Drove 50 miles to visit it and was really happy to have made the journey as I have a great addition to my favourites now. Also has. a sports bar downstairs on a lower level which was a well laid out with enough big screens and a good ambience too. Be back soon.
