We had lunch at the Harvesters in Weymouth earlier today. The food was lovely but the standout was the service. Our server was Tasha and she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and that everything was ok. Whatever you’re paying her isn’t enough, she was hands down the best server I’ve ever had. So huge thanks Tasha, we’ll be back very soon.

I am writing to formally raise a complaint about the service I received during a recent visit to your Gravesend branch.

Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing due to the poor level of customer service from your staff. Throughout the visit, it felt as though we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. There was a clear lack of basic courtesy, including no smiles, no engagement, and no effort made to ensure we had an enjoyable experience.

To highlight one particular incident: when I asked for a pint before leaving, the staff member serving me was dismissive and questioned my payment, suggesting I had used the wrong amount. I had to insist that the CCTV be checked, as I was confident in the payment made. Another member of staff then intervened and confirmed that the change given was incorrect. Despite this, no apology was offered, nor was there any attempt to address the situation professionally.

This interaction, combined with the general attitude of the staff, left a very poor impression. It genuinely felt as though staff were doing us a favour by serving us, rather than providing a standard level of customer service expected from a well-known establishment.

I would appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and addressed, particularly in terms of staff training and customer service standards. I also expect an explanation of how this situation will be prevented in the future.

Booked a table for six on 4th May in Northampton for a birthday. Although the food itself was okay, the overall experience was disappointing due to the limited menu options available. There was no rotisserie chicken, which makes up a large part of the menu, and when it came to desserts we were left with only sticky toffee pudding because there was no ice cream or any of the other options we tried to order and wasnt made aware of refillable drinks that they also offer.

The facilities also need attention — the hand dryers in the toilets weren’t working and there was no toilet roll available.

Overall, it wasn’t the experience we were expecting.

Visit to Potters Kiln Lowestoft(20th of April 2026)

On 3 occasions we had an absolute amazing service and experience especially with the server Crystal who made our 3 visits even better by providing a expectational extra mile service as she recognised us after our 1st visit in the same week.

Also compliments to the chef and the behind the scenes staff including Ben as all of the salad bar and the food we were served on every occasion was exemplary from start to finish.

They accommodated my special request of a specific table as we had a party of 5 people.

Many thanks for this and I highly recommend this venue for food and drinks.

I absolutely normally love a Harvester, but will I ever go back to one, not sure after the Perth one, arrived at 12.50, asked if they had a table, they said 1pm go to the bar will come get you, 1.30 still waiting! Tell them they are walking out and table straight away, then waited another 20 minutes and still no service, they were not busy, the manager spent more time chatting up the bar staff! Absolutely horrendous experience! Bring back the Aberdeen one as that was the best experiences I have ever had! Will never ever be back to the Perth one!

We regularly visit bassets pole every week, with my partner and toddler. Not sure which one of us loves it more haha. I have a sweet tooth, so love to put crispy onion flakes on my pasta at the salad bar, makes them taste amazing. We always enjoy our meals, hot and tasty, and we love the refillable drinks. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, Tash and Chris and other staff, (can't remember all names) make us feel like family when we are there. Quite often asking how our week has been. Would definitely reccomend visiting.

I go to the mansion house every other Friday with three friends. We get there early and stay most of the day. We enjoy the fresh salad and the rolls are now very good too.
Myself a one other quite often take our hot lunch home for our husband (so we haven't got to cook when we get back home)

Our waiter (Marek) was so lovely he made us feel very welcome and always asked if we needed anything, it's people like him that makes your day feel much better.
So great service and great food, which was cooked by (Miles). I need someone to come and cook for me as I've lost interest in cooking now. The ice-cream is to die for and we always make room for it. The assistance manager is so very friendly and always make us feel welcome. Sorry I can't remember what her name is. She works from am to closing time.
Anyone thinking of going out for food should give them a try I'm sure you will enjoy your food and welcome smiles.

Visited our regular monthly trip to harvester Hillington. What can I say but the food is hot and tasty. The service from Ruth the manager and Megan could not be faulted.

Look forward to our return next month.

The chicken was too dry to swallow almost made me choke.

Amazing service by your colleague William as he was kind and he gave us time to think of our orders. Also, the food was great and service was 5 star.

Went for a meal for my daughter’s birthday and has been sometime since we last visited and thought things might be different…. Totally not

New menu and increased prices but not matching the quality of the food. Chicken so dry and over cooker, completely tasteless and definitely not fresh!!
Kids menu £7.99 and literally a few chips and over cooked nuggets

Very disappointing, harvester used to be a great place to eat but not anymore.

Poor service, wrong order having confirmed on three occasions with waitress. Ice cream dessert was melted and replacement after complaint was no better.

Food came too quick. Had just got our salad. The main meal was cold.

Absolutely dreadful food got a rice bowl the rice was like mush and the chicken was tasteless you could just tell none of it was cooked fresh and it's not cheap either,the outside seating area is the only positive nice views

We love Harvester at Falconwood and visit regularly but yesterday on a very special occasion we were left so disappointed. We arrived for our meal at 7.45 and the restaurant was maniac. We were seated and waited for half an hour just to order. Eventually when ordering, what my partner wanted was not available and when she chose something else that also was unavailable. She is a diabetic so restricted to what she can eat, in the end she had to just have a salad. When we got to the salad bar it was messy but worse than all barely anything there, we told a member of staff and they said it would be refilled. We sat back down at our table and then a massive row erupted and the way the manager spoke to the customer was very unprofessional. I then waited over an hour for my scampi and chips, absolutely ridiculous. Meanwhile my poor partner who had paid for the top up salad bar went back to the salad bar and it was still more a less empty, so she was left with a tomatoes and lettuce, completely scandalous and disgusting. My meal arrived and it was cold, we spoke to our waitress who was very nice but she informed us there were just two of them and they we’re struggling, felt for her but still shouldn’t of ruined our complete evening and we paid £30 for cold scampi and chips and tomato’s and lettuce. On an evening of remembering a love one it was a complete shambles and the most poorest of what I can’t even describe as food. A real let down and disappointment of an evening!

Great place to bring the grandchildren. Good value.
