Bought a lovely c220 estate from the guys at hearsall common. Car was as advertised reasonably priced and the process was stress free. They put 12 months mot on the car for me so it was ready to drive away hassle free. Would use again

Truly one of the worst experiences of a company I’ve ever had.
I visited and put a deposit on a car, the car hadn’t been put through the MOT so this needed to be carried out which was fine. When it failed there were three major faults and three advisories which I requested to be fixed. First, they said they dint fix advisories but I obviously didn’t want to buy a car with a tyre worn almost to legal limit or an issue with the shock absorber. They agreed to fix these and have it ready the next day.

7 days later I still didn’t receive the car and every single day they told me it would be available the following day. Each person I spoke to promised they would call me to update me and they never did, I called the company so many times to get my own update.

One day I was told at 5pm that it wasn’t going to be ready but it would go straight in for the retest in the morning. When no one contacted me by lunchtime I called and the mechanic that was working on my car had not turned up to work so they couldn’t give me any idea when it would be ready but they would call me to update me. No one called. I called back multiple times and eventually they said the mechanic had appeared but now he can’t turn the light off so they need an electrical guy and they don’t work weekends so I have to wait until Monday morning.

Monday rolls around and of course - no one calls me. I called and they were still waiting but the electrical guy was due “any minute”. Two hours later I called back and was told again that he was due “any minute”. 2.5 hours later I called again and was told AGAIN that the electrical guy was due any minute but by this point they wouldn’t be able to get it in for a retest that day.

Tuesday comes and once again I’m calling for an update but again the electrical guy is due “any minute” and I’d be updated. The update never came. When I called again he had finally arrived but they wouldn’t have time to get it in for a retest. One guy assured me he would personally deliver it to the test centre first thing in the morning.

The next day the car still isn’t tested by lunchtime and I have received no update so I call yet again. Turns out height was turned off but there’s an issue with a sensor and they need to book that in the following day before it can be retested.

I have pulled out of the sale because after 8 days of not being able to get to work and being told I was getting a car… I still had no idea when it was going to be ready and I was fobbed off every single time with promises of a call to update.

Genuinely shocking that they manage to operate a business this way.

Do NOT buy any car from here. They sold us a car which has had problems since we bought it. They lied to the finance company and won’t assist us with getting the car sorted. Avoid at all cost!!
