Hertz - New York - East 76th Street Reviews 

There was only one person ahead of me when I arrived. I waiting 3 minutes at most. I rented online through Hertz, so the woman handed me my paperwork immediately and my car arrived as I left the office. Checkin just as easy. I couldn't believe how smooth the experience was. And the Volvo XC40 was wonderful. Great gas mileage.
I've rented once before--at Budget on E 87th--and it was a nightmare for me and all the other people in line when they ran out of cars!

The staff is great and knowledgeable, and they will always have the electric cars that we love and want more of in New York City. Thanks everyone

Overall, I like this Hertz location. Getting the car and returning overall is a breeze.
This recent visit, I had a couple call outs. It took around 45 minutes to get the car for this reservation, and it was because of the dated computers and payment systems that are in place. The employees were doing the best they could–unplugging and troubleshooting, it was frustrating for both parties. The systems at Hertz should be up-to-date and meet the demand of its customers at this location, especially with the pick-up area being so small.
It was also tough to still see that hole in the corner of the main pick-up office taped with a trash bag to block air. I understand repairs take time, but I hope that it isn't put off and maintains a priority to fix.

Best Hertz location in the city!

Everything at E. 76th runs well. Counter staff are friendly, knowledgeable and aim to get you in and out quickly. Their cars are always in good shape and staff & management will try to help you get the car that best suits your driving needs. They seem to care about their customers which is a good thing! When I need to rent from Hertz, this is location I prefer. No drama, just the way I like it.

I was promised a smaller fuel efficient vehicle, and was forced to take a gas guzzling large SUV against my will. I should receive a refund of some sort

Both the staff members at check in and check out were friendly & helpful. The car was delivered in great condition and everything went smoothly on our end.
