We selected Hobson’s Choice in Winchester to design and install a new kitchen as part of a renovation project of our London home.

After considering other London companies, we selected Hobson’s Choice, with Guy Foan being our lead Design Consultant contact. Guy and his team were extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of Bulthaup kitchens and Gaggenau/Meile appliances. They came up with a design that met and far exceeded our original vision and requirements.

Throughout the project, Guy and his team were a pleasure to work with. They have been extremely professional and thorough in their attention to detail and in the subsequent delivery and installation of the kitchen which was completed according to plan and budget. Hobson’s Choice were always flexible in coordinating with the other building works in progress, changing their own dates to fit in with the overall project whenever necessary.

When the kitchen was installed, we were abroad but were delighted to find that Guy’s team had done an excellent job, not just in the expert installation, as evidenced by the detailed photos they sent us, but also in covering and protecting the kitchen from the remaining building works in progress in the open plan space.

All in all, Hobson’s Choice oversaw our entire kitchen project from start to finish, encountering some unique challenges, with absolute professionalism, competence and expertise. They completely lived up to the confidence and trust we placed in them, delivering a kitchen that we absolutely love and has exceeded our vision for aesthetics and functionality. Guy has stayed in contact with us following project completion to ensure that we are enjoying a problem-free experience and to address any usage questions that we may have.

We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Hobson’s Choice to anyone considering a Bulthaup kitchen, however large or small their project may be, and we will certainly be returning to them for future kitchen needs.

We had the pleasure of working with Hobson’s Choice on a recent project in Hampshire.

Our Client wanted a beautifully crafted, contemporary kitchen which blended seamlessly into their newly refurbished home.

Pieter and the team immediately understood the architectural aspirations for the space and worked closely with us to design & deliver a beautifully tailored Bulthaup B3 kitchen, with accompanying dining table and chairs from Carl Hansen.

From the first meeting the process was expertly managed - showroom visits were organised, material samples were gathered and informative drawings were produced to guide us through the decision making process.

Every detail was considered and every finish was chosen to compliment the established material palette of the house. The end result was a masterless in effortless elegance. Practical. Functional. Beautiful.

The house has just been shortlisted for an RIBA Architectural award - in no small part thanks to Pieter the dedicated design team at Hobson’s Choice whose attention to detail truly elevated the spatial quality of this family home.

I am rather surprised to be writing the first review of Hobsons Choice. They are such skilled craftsmen and perfectionists I thought someone else might have written about them before me.

I first used them in 2012 when they fitted a Bulthaup kitchen and replaced our hallway flooring. Ten years later we are still enjoying the care and advice they gave us and the robust simplicity of the units they installed.
Then in 2015 we asked them to completely renew both of our bathrooms, replace everything, floor and wall tiles, basins, toilets, lighting and install a bath. Now all our guests and family remark how enjoyable it is to stay.

It's always quite a small friendly team which carries out the work, following very detailed design plans which are a work of art in their own right!

By this time I feel that unless Hobsons do the job I won't be satisfied. So in 2021 they came to renew the study and boot room, the bookcases, cupboards and floor tiles.

Hobsons Choice understand the importance of design and appearance, unlike some other companies. However, they also add to that very caring craftsmenlike construction so you get the best of both worlds. They aren't cheap but as you can see from my experience once you've seen what they do you can’t settle for anyone else.
