I ordered a mirrored radiator concealer about three weeks ago, said delivery in a week, never arrived, I tried the phone number just rings out, I emailed a few times, they replied only once saying item damaged before delivery so would need to re-order and would take another week from their supplier (strange as item advertised in their stock, not a supplier!). I replied immediately saying fine but I'll be checking back on the day they claim the item would arrive at their showroom. low and behold no reply to further email follow ups and they don't answer their only telephone line at all or call you back (only time was when paying funnily enough, nothing ever since). they have ignored all emails sent, I've advised them of the law on consumer rights and that it's a criminal offence to steal a customers money without delivering their purchase, I looked them up and found these reviews on Trustpilot and let them know also that there's a lot of evidence against them from many people, i also searched companies house and they are active and registered however I'm unsure if the address of the unit is manned (probably not). I've advised them I'll be taking further action to recover my money and I'll be referring them to trading standards and any applicable regulator(S) to investigate fraudulent activities with multiple people. I'm only thankful that my purchase was modest compared to others who have posted, but clearly they are getting away with taking peoples money and so action must be taken!! I'll also be contacting my bank to recover an obvious scam!

Very worrying you can’t just pay for your item they want photo ID and proof of address? Which makes me think they’re selling this info on! Then when you say no you’d rather not they then say bank transfer only. Very strange

SCAM.... This company appears to be linked to Bath Head, Bath Buzz, House of livinga nd Essentials Depot, they are all a scam and use the same excuse, take peoples money and do not deliver the goods with the same excuse every time... this order was damaged so will be delayed. All the phone numbers go to the same call centre and you get through to the same clueless person who claims to know nothing.

I would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering from House of Living.

I ordered a bed and wardrobe which the company failed to deliver on multiple occasions. After repeated failed delivery attempts and ongoing issues, I requested a refund on 17th April 2026. I was told the refund would take 5–7 working days, however I am still waiting for my money to be returned.

Since then, emails have gone unanswered and the phone lines are consistently unavailable. It is extremely frustrating and concerning to be ignored while the company continues actively promoting and selling products online.

At this point, I am left chasing a refund for items I never received. The lack of communication and accountability has been completely unacceptable.

I hope the company resolves this matter urgently and improves how it treats customers going forward.

I purchased a bed & kept getting told there was an issue with delivery. They had to cancel my order & i still haven't received my refund (its been over a month now). Communication stopped entirely after this, calls rang out & no replies from multiple emails I send. I've had to organise a charge back from the bank card I used. My advice is NEVER buy from this company
They seem very helpful at the start but disappear with your money. I don't usually write reviews but feel I need to warn people about this company.

Before you pay and place your order they are very nice to you and guarantee delivery day.
Once you’ve paid you can no longer get in touch with them on the phone and they won’t respond to your emails.

They are a scam and just want to steal your money!

Never order from them because you’ll never receive what you’ve ordered but you’ll be short of pocket nonetheless!

Disgraceful company with the worst customer experience I have witnessed. AVIOD at all costs.

PLEASE AVOID this company. I was sworn at during a phone call by a foreign man when I simply asked where my order was. I was then told I wouldn’t be getting my money back either because I left an honest review of my experience. The item I paid for was clearly not in stock, yet they took my payment anyway and have repeatedly pushed the ‘delivery’ date back with no explanation. This feels dishonest and completely unacceptable.

SCAM COMPANY - AVOID!!!
They take your payment, then make excuse after excuse for their non-delivery of electric fire suite!
Then they fail to refund full payment made in advance.

I ordered a sofa from House of Living. The delivery was promised within 4–6 days, but the date was continuously postponed. Eventually, the company cancelled the order and informed me that a full refund would be issued.

It has now been several weeks and no refund has been received. I contacted the company multiple times by email and they stopped responding. The phone number listed on their website does not answer.

Avoid at all costs, I bought fireplace from this company late September 2025, all seemed good even gave me a courtesy call. A few days before delivery they emailed me saying that the item was damaged and they needed to get another from their supplier. Another date was arranged for delivery. Then 2 days before delivery another email saying that my order has been cancelled!!. They said that the money would be refunded back to the card of payment within 5 to 7 working days. Never got refund and low and behold they are not answering emails or phone, shock horror. If you want to get scammed knock yourself out, you have been warned ⚠️.

Avoid at all costs. I ordered some furniture for a new clinic and was advised that the delivery would be made the following Thursday between 9am - 11am. At 11:08am I rd urged an e mail to say that the stick was damaged and they had to contact the supplier for additional stock. The order was scheduled to be delivered the following Thursday 16th October. On the delivery day the order got cancelled. No explanation, no phone call, nothing. I e mailed them and called and they said a refund would be issued. I called them on October 28th to chase the refund and was told it had been processed. I have not received this. Further e mails are being ignored.

Ordered a bed from house of living. 20 minutes before the delivery was expected to arrive I got an email the bed was damaged and wouldn't be ready for a week. The day of the rescheduled delivery I got another email that my order had been cancelled and a refund would be issued in 5-7 days. It's been 2 weeks and no refund. At no point, by email or phone, have I been able to contact the seller. I've had to go through my bank and try to dispute this. Based on some of the recent reviews this seems to be a common practice for this company.

Sold me a bed, on the day of delivery they contacted me via email to state the bed was damaged so are waiting on a restock to their warehouse expected a week later. That day came and they cancelled my order. They said I have to wait 5-7 working days for the refund to appear. The days past and any communication to their emails goes unanswered.

House of Living provided a first class service. Highly professional and reliable.

Appalled at the way my order was dealt with. £500 for an electric fire never received and now they still have not refunded me and this is since August 7th. Iv been called a liar and now my credit card company are dealing with it. Do not trust this company with your money. Trading standards have also been notified.
