Homebase - Basildon Reviews 

The click and collect process was easy to use online and when collecting the order at the Basildon store. The staff at the collection point were friendly and the lady who served us took the large terracotta pot we had ordered right to the door on a trolley for us.

It was in stock & visited stock picked it up with any problems.

Had a wonderful experience in Homebase Basildon recently. The woman, named Emma, who served me & my husband was incredibly friendly & helpful. She helped us decide on what paint, brushes etc to get & she also checked if a particular paint was available at another store. She truly is a credit to the Homebase.

I needed help to pick up 2 bags of bark and 2 bags of compost a man called Bob helped me he picked up all 4 for me and took them to the till I paid then he took them and put them in my car so excellent service thanks to bob

We have just had our new Homebase kitchen fitted with a Homebase recommended fitter. Clarissa was fantastic from start to finish. Her design and knowledge helped us to plan our dream kitchen in the space we had available. We were also able to get Quartz worktops (which we thought were out of our price range) to finish our kitchen perfectly. Clarissa was on hand throughout the process to make sure the kitchen was being built in the correct time frame and delivered in time. She was also there to help with any issues that arose. TBH there were none except we needed an extra cupboard handle! Considering I thought the whole process would be very stressful, Clarissa was able to make it as easy as possible and had everything covered from start to finish. I would highly recommend Clarissa as a brilliant kitchen designer.

Really happy with the product but collecting order was terrible. I went to pick up my order and multiple boxes were damaged and previously returned boxes had been used in my order. I spent 15minutes going through each pack to check for any damage and issues and exchanging them before accepting order.

I purchased a few large items online and paid for delivery. I picked a date which was 3 weeks later as I had to arrange for people to be here to collect it. A few days before delivery I get an emails saying they have stock issues - but branch in basildon has them I can go pick it up? Why do they think I paid for delivery?
Anyway I go to branch and the team look at my car and tell me no way that's is even fitting in my car. ........ I am disabled and they looked at all the emails and can see what has happened.
We then discovered the 2 they have left in stock have been damaged!
Sleg and Kim from branch went above and beyond for me. They managed to find one from another branch get it over the very next day and even delivered it for me.

Outstanding service. The human touch is something you can't get online.

Wonderful people in store highly recommend to purchase in store if you can.

Paul was very helpful at the paint desk was very welcoming and gave us some good tips and tricks on how paint works and what to do.

I had been to the majority of Garden centres in the area looking for plants. did'nt expect much from homebase as its mostly DIY .How wrong was I .The plants were super healthy an excellent selection and considerably cheaper .Obviously looked after by someone who cares and that takes a pride in their work.Looking for plants then you to might be pleased with a trip to homebase Vange as I was

Easy to order.Click and collect was ready as I went to the counter. Nice assistant helped me to load the car.

All of the staff in Homebase Vange were lovely! They all helped us loads the other day.

I only ever use Homebase for your gardening because every time I come a lady called Irene helps me with flowers and shrubs and always makes the time to educate me on how to look after them and soils to pick and what goes well together. It’s lovely to have someone who actually knows what they are talking about but equally not in a rush to leave you undecided. If I’m honest, I always end up spending more because she shows me flowers that go together (and I’m a sucker for a plant haha) so from a company perspective I would definitely say she is an asset because I am also a huge lover of summerhills and it’s because of Irene that I generally come to Homebase and have done the last two summers. She makes my shopping trip so welcoming.

Contacted store to ask if they had plant pots in stock because website said two. Dawn at the Store confirmed they had them and held them for me until I could pick them up. Great service, friendly staff

I bought some premium paint and the staff was helpful and I bought what I wanted.
Kim the operator was very courteous and helpful.
