We have recently had a Howdens Hoxley kitchen installed by Vladimir Pirlea and Nicolae. We are delighted with the result. Jay in Howden's Sandyford was so helpful throughout the planning stage. Vladimir modified units to suit the shape of our kitchen and the finished everything to a really high standard. His attention to detail and level of experience is really impressive.

If you care about your money and kitchen looking good and being functional, please don't deal with them. Howdens is nothing but a scam. We lost so much time and nerves, had countless appointments with people that obviously don't know how to design the kitchen. After changing few designers, we required a store manager to design our kitchen, and our kitchen ended being a disaster. There was so many things wrongly delivered to us. So we had to go back and forward with them again and again. But they kept promising everything extra will be refunded to us directly. Our Bin door couldn't open cause it was hitting the knob of the other door, our both corner cabinet can't be in use as the door opening are too small. Our counter top and few doors got very damaged just while installing them. Their business was recommended by the builder we had, but we are the ones that were dealing with them and paid everything out from our pocket. We went in few times to return extra items and they refunded straight to our account. After all the kitchen was done we had to rent a van to return the panels and kickboards they send to us and charged us which we didn't need at all. The manger took the items and said the tills are closed already, so she'll call us and refund it on Monday. In the meanwhile I asked if our builder was around as he ghosted us and took on another project and left us hanging with our renovation. She said he said he is living the country. We never received a call or our refund. They said they refunded to the builder because they are trade only business. We paid kitchen with our money and they refunded to a builder which they very well knew, left the country and will never give the money back to us. Proper scam company and incompetent workers.

Extremely helpful and take time to listen and explain..

Having visited a few places recently Howdens stand above and beyond for the attention and time given to us. Other places staff just pointed to an area for us to look at and did not stay around to explain or take questions. Thank you SO much Jay (Sandyford for you time and pleasant demeanour). Other staff were also friendly. This will be our go to place for all things home in the future. Thanks again. Eileen.

We ordered an in-frame solid wood kitchen from Howden's with quartz worktops and splashbacks. The materials are all top quality. But the outstanding element is the contractor Vladimir Pirlea. We have crooked walls and uneven floors and the Vladimir and Nicolai created perfect joinery and immaculate finishes throughout the whole build. They are master craftsmen. They also built some bespoke shelving for us. They hoovered up all the dust when they needed to make the cuts inside the house - so no dust when they went home every evening. The painting that they did was so precisely cut-in that it is just a joy to behold. We are just so happy with the results and also very happy with the price.
