I never normally write reviews but feel
I have to make people aware. We booked our 3 dogs in so we could attend my dad’s funeral.
Albeit it was short notice but they were able to accommodate us.
After attending the funeral, we came out to find numerous missed calls from them. We immediately contacted them and explained we’d been at my dads funeral to simply be told you have to come back now.
We travelled back and the only words we got from them was your dog is not well and you can never bring her back here again! Let’s just say we quickly collected our dogs and left and will never use them again.

My German Shepherd dog has a great time at Hunters Lodge! He regulalry attends day care and has also stayed at the boarding kennels. He is very excited to greet the staff and trots off with them quite happily without giving me a second glance! He has attended day care ever since he was 12-weeks old. It's been brilliant socialising for him with many other dogs and a mix of people too. He is very well cared for.

We're not off to a good start with this company. We have booked our little dog in for a stay. On their website they actually stated that it is recommended that we come and visit and allow our dog to become acquainted with the kennels. Twice now did we make wasted trips to them. OK, granted, we showed up Saturday during their lunch time and arrive at closed gate. We took note of the opening hours and returned today. Although they were open, the lady behind the counter then merrily proclaimed that they don't do intro tours on Sundays.
At this point I was really unhappy.
I revisited their website and saw this paragraph...
If your pet hasn't stayed with us before, and you would like to visit us, we encourage you to do that before you bring your pet to stay.
You can drop in anytime during our normal opening hours. No appointment necessary!
So there we were. Only to be turned away. And then she had the audacity to say, the website does say they only do this weekdays.
I have now quoted the website.
Do you expect me to have permission from the Prime minister to come and visit the kennels to introduce my dog and have a look around? Let me wait and see what they have to say about this review. I truly hope that we can have a better working relationship with them moving forward.
