We are completely let down by ID systems.

Our new window glass has some unsightly manufacturing faults inside the large double glazed units. We advised their customer service about this and after 2 frustrating years of complaining a surveyor was sent out who acknowledged the faults and accordingly reported back to ID systems. We never heard anything back, they ignore many of my messages, and now they say they cant remember any of this case.

Following 5 years - yes .. 5 years.. of their customer service inaction and having to put up with the unsightly marks in my very expensive feature windows I have finally had to give up with ID Systems. I haven't the energy for a legal battle.

ID Systems will sell you their expensive products but have little interest in honouring their guarantee. My fear is that should a mechanical fault develop in these bespoke windows, doors and locks, who would I turn to ?

I would like to say that for the last 15 years the advice, care and service we have received from ID Systems has been absolutely amazing – far better than anything I have experienced with any other company in my lifetime. You are helpful, pragmatic and above all else, keen to put the customer first, even if it misses out on you being able to charge for more for site visits – an extremely rare commodity in this day and age.

Our beautiful sliding doors, windows and lantern arrived on time and were installed by friendly and highly competent fitters, thank you to Steve and Rob for being so efficient and for giving sound advice when asked. ID Systems could so nearly have received a 5 star review were in not for their appalling in-office customer service.
The two products installed look great, and the surveyor / installation team were helpful.
However, we originally ordered four units, two of which were subsequently cancelled as the lead times kept extending. Delays were also notified on the remaining products but we were informed that cancellation of the whole order would incur a 15% charge.
ID Systems response was always that delivery dates are only confirmed once the contract has been received and logged into manufacturing and that the dates given before then are purely indicative.

We had some sliding doors installed in our loft conversion that were beautiful. The issue we had was the that the trims were not provided so the installation was incomplete. After numerous conversations ID systems said they could provide the trims at cost. Ẃe were happy to do that as it would complete the installation, however after speaking to around 3 different account managers and the installation team and emailling numerous times to finialise this no one got back to us. We have been chasing for around 4/ 5 months re the install of these trims to no avail. Spending time on the phone and emailing constantly, think the company must have known we were fustrated. Yet no attempt had been made to get back to the us after our correspondence 2 months ago. Following a string of numerous emails, we decided that we should not be the ones chasing as we have never had to do this with any other company throughout our house renovations. It seems so simple yet there seems to be a lack of care and attention paid to customers after product has been delivered and payment made. Very dissapointed with the service, we had to ask another company in the end to help us who did provide us with trims easily with a lead time of 2 weeks. Would not recommend ID systems as customer service was very poor.

We went with IDSystems for two sets of sliding doors in our rear extension and are delighted with them. The whole process from specifying the requirements for the builders, to the survey and fitting went really well and IDS hit their supply timetable despite Covid and a very busy period. Visitors remark on the appearance and build quality of the doors. Very happy!

We are really pleased with our new sliding doors and have no doubt they will provide the biggest talking point of our house renovation. The quality is brilliant and the installation team were exceptional with great attention to detail - our builders also commented on the high end finish and fit. Overall the level of service and product you would wish for when you are paying for a more premium product. The process did feel a little over burdened at points with T&C's but that's the world we live in. Everyone was patient and helpful with us whenever we had any queries. We haven't moved in yet but are confident having seen the quality that they will last. We would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for something special on a project.

Purchased rooflights and sliding doors fromIDSystems from viewing, to sales through to installation, the service IDSystems offered was excellent.

We are extremely pleased with the look of our IDSystem doors and roof lantern. The whole operation was organised by our builder who supervised the installation, which went smoothly. After which, when I walked into my kitchen, I had a wonderful WOW moment. The difference these doors and panels have made to our view over the garden is amazing. The joins are extremely fine so our view is in no way diminished. The product is substantial and of good quality and whilst being provided with good explanations of how to look after the sliding doors, we are pleased to have the option of having them serviced every so often. It’s winter now and we are very much looking forward to having them opened up during the summer.

We first came across IDSytems at a home renovation show and new immediately that these were the doors for us as nothing came close. We opted for the more expensive patio doors (the Edge 2.0) and are thrilled with them and are well worth the extra expense. There was a slight problem with the glass being delivered by the glazing company for one of the doors but IDSytems dealt with it professionally and kept us informed. We would not hesitate in recommending IDSytems for the service and fantastic product we received.

The process was simple. Surveyor told me exactly what I needed to have done when he visited the sight. Fitters were clean tidy and polite. Doors are absolutely fantastic. I love them.

We were really impressed by Duncan who showed us around the showroom and helpfully answered all our questions. The service stood out above the other window companies we visited and was a major reason behind why we ultimately chose ID Systems. The products look great - we haven't moved in yet so can't say how well they operate, but the installation went smoothly and everything seems to be good. The reason we haven't given 5 stars is because installation was delayed, not, we understand, because of a Covid reason.

We saw the IDS system on a Grand Designs show and were really excites with what we saw, we were particularly interested In the Edge and clean sight lines it gave. We followed up by going to a home improvement exhibition to see the doors in the flesh. We were extremely impressed with all the IDS products and the professionalism of the sales force. The IDS systems were by far the best against the many exhibitors at the show.
We decided to get a quote and whilst not cheap, the company have been able to deliver the vision we wanted. The installation was trouble free and we are delighted with our purchase and would highly recommend IDS to anyone who wants a stunning outlook and centrepiece of any building extension.

When a date was set for the fitting of my 10 sliding doors, there were many threats of possible penalties if all the listed criteria weren’t met by the home owner. But in the end the team turned up 2 days early and I had to hastily arrange for someone to be present ( one of said requirements ).
Quality is excellent, so all was well until a window broke.
My replacement window is pink and mirror effect and definitely doesn’t match the other nine windows, in fact it stands out like a sore thumb. I’m told by IDSystems that they have fitted the best match and as the small print claims that exact replacements are not guaranteed, ‘the case is closed’. In my opinion a difference as great as this should have been highlighted when I placed the order, and not just hidden in the small print.

I have to completely agree with the previous review. Our windows have broken less than a year after installation. We contacted ID a month ago and an installer was able to advise how to shut the doors that day ,however they could not be opened until they arrived to mend the 'brake' system. A known problem apparently he gave the impression they would be around our area in the next week or so.

We were away so did not trouble too much. On our return we were entertaining friends who had shown interest in buying the windows so I contacted them asking if they could repair before the weekend.

There was a delay so was not possible. A week later we emailed ( no reply) e mailed again the next day and a day later rang. It is now no longer with aftersales but with installion who have been e mailed internally 3 times copying in the manager Greg but they have not replied to aftersales. What we should do I have no idea hence this frustrated review?

We are sick of chasing round their internal sytem and now waiting a month with no end in sight , and not being able to get into our garden directly. If this is a known problem they should have the parts and as they say they pride on customer service communicate properly and deal with the internal merry go round.

Great great product, very happy with it. But the customer service is awful. They have the most ridiculous internal processes, no one knows where your project is, responding to emails is poor to none existent and it’s always someone else’s fault etc etc. The most ridiculous thing is that after installing your product, they wait around in your house until you pay the bill!! Unbelievable. Maybe we just had a bad experience??
