First let me add that I am not a website designer. My goal was to create my own photography website with the vision of how I wanted it to look. After a lot of research I chose Photocrati and NextGen Gallery for the design and customization of my website. It offered many options from site layout to fonts types, colors, sizes, and spacing.
During my work designing my site, there were some settings which I wanted but was unable to find out how to make the changes. I contacted Photocrati Technical Support and they were incredibly helpful. Some of the changes required additional “coding”. Knowing that I was not a website designer, they patiently led me to the right areas where the “coding” was to be added.
This was not the first time I contacted Tech Support. Each time the help response was clear and concise. And at the end of each correspondence was written: “Let me know if you have any questions”; and they sincerely meant it.
My website is up and running and is exactly how I envisioned it.
I rarely write a review of services given but my experience with Photocrati Technical Support; especially from Mihai Ceban, was so exceptional that I wanted to share it. If you do choose Photocrati, I am confident that you will experience the same Technical Support that I did.

Largely a decent product but...if you purchase, you are automatically enrolled in the subscription which renews without notice and at least double the cost. If you check below, there are many complaints about this but Imagely doesn't change their business model to correct this. In this day, any business that relies upon "ambush" marketing doesn't deserve my business.

Use this plugin once and be asured of receiving spam for weeks! Don't EVER install this in your WordPress site because they will steal your e-mail and annoy you with their unwanted promotional crap until you get sick of it.

I used Imagely’s NextGEN plugin because it was one of the few options available for photographers using WordPress. It worked fine—but once I moved to a new platform and left WordPress, I assumed my subscription would lapse or at least give me notice.
I never received a renewal email or warning. Instead, I discovered a PayPal charge 15 days after it happened—only because I checked my account. I contacted support immediately. They canceled the subscription but refused a refund because I was just one day outside their 14-day policy.
This felt like a trap. No notice. No grace period. No flexibility. Just a cold policy hiding behind fine print.
I managed to get refunded after much complaint that was reduced by some made up service fee of 10%.
Photographers, be warned: if you move off WordPress or stop using Imagely, you must manually cancel or risk being charged without notice—and without recourse. The response said I changed my email, NOT TRUE, same email for many many years!

If you stop using it, do not forget to cancel. They have a "No Refunds" policy. I was charged and cancelled within like a minute plus.
I redesigned my site and went with an easier-to-use gallery.

Imagely customer service is fantastic. They know what they are talking about and how to communicate that to their customers. Though they’re on another continent and their replies arrive in the middle of the night, that is a small price to pay for them getting it right on the first time nearly all the time!

I purchased the Pro version of the NextGEN Wordpress plugin and the problems began immediately. The software installed and activated with the Pro licence, the first gallery uploaded but didnt show the ecommerce cart to allow users to purchase photographs. I contacted Imagely and had a couple of replies from Barsha, but nobody has been able to get it working. The licence keeps reverting to an unlicensed state. I was told I needed to uninstall and reinstall the Plugins then manually enter my licence... I did this and shortly after it reverted to unlicensed. I have repeatedly replied to the initial support emails asking for help and had no reply, so have requested a full refund under their 14-day refund policy. Based on what I have seen I would avoid this solution as the support is very lacking and I never managed to get it working properly to test it.
