The worst business experience I have had in over 10 years of importing.
I do not recommend working with Jiaxing JinYi Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. or their representative Jerry Yu.
Over two years, I ordered three full containers of water heaters (approx. 300 units).
The company claimed to offer a warranty and guaranteed replacement of defective tanks in future orders. In reality, around 20% of the tanks were defective straight out of the box.
Issues included:
• leaking tanks,
• leaking heating coils,
• units failing immediately upon first fill — even before connection to the system.
I followed all requested procedures. The company demanded photos, videos, serial numbers, and pressure tests. I provided everything promptly. Instead of support, I received absurd excuses: “bad water quality,” “high water pressure,” and later “transport damage,” even though we pressure-tested some brand-new tanks at only 2 bar and they still leaked.
Communication was unacceptable:
• Jerry Yu ignored emails,
• no replies on WhatsApp,
• no answers to phone calls,
• complete avoidance of responsibility and clear breach of contract.
After months of attempts to resolve the issue, despite providing evidence for 14 defective units, the company offered compensation for only 3 units — with no reasonable explanation.
This is not a reliable business partner.
The products are defective, the company avoids warranty obligations, and the communication is unprofessional.
The matter has now been reported to the Chinese commercial court.
I strongly advise others to avoid this supplier.
