Bait and switch thieves! Stay away from KaTom. In February of 2025, after several weeks of price negotiations, I attempted to purchase two pieces of restaurant equipment. I provided a payment method and when I received the receipt and shipping info I noticed one of the items had been quoted had been replaced with a smaller and less expensive unit. Within one hour, on a Friday late afternoon, I informed Ryan my salesperson about the discrepancy. They’d claimed they already shipped it and that I now owed them $2,500 in restocking fees if i wasn’t able to accept the incorrect sized equipment. A 48” in cooler instead of the 61”.
After disputing the transaction with my credit card - Katom fraudulently sent the CC company a fraudulent tracking number and claimed the items had been delivered to my business. The items were never delivered. Not the one I was willing to pay for or the one they tried saying I had ordered. The freight company they claimed to use provided a letter stating the tracking number KAtom provided my credit card was not valid and that they had never picked up any freight and delivered it to my place of business.
As of late August 2025 - Katom still has my $11,037 , has never shipped merchandise and by providing fraudulent documentation, continues to steal back funds each time my CC issues a dispute resolution in my favor.

The only people that will respond to you is going through Chat. I tried to place an order last week and while my tax exempt form got approved right away. When I added my items it still showed tax and talked with someone on Chat and they said actually if I placed the order with him he could get me a better price but then he found out I guess someone else had originally helped me so he told me to email cellis and I still haven't heard anything. I can't wait as I need to order these and I don't know why after my tax form was approved they still want to charge tax on my items. But I'm finding out that a lot of companies do this or they say place the order and then they'll take the tax off and then never do.

Wow, I thought that was the only one with a poor experience, apparently there’s many of us, they sent me the wrong product. That has to wait another month to receive a new one. It was very poor communication. If you have one sales person, you can’t work with anybody else so if that sales person is out or doesn’t pick up the phone, you can’t work with anybody

WOW....I wish I had looked at this before purchasing. LESSON LEARNED!!! I purchased 1000 popcorn bags that were needed for an event. I paid $84.00 for next-day shipping and received my package 2 days later. I called to discuss and was told UPS takes 2 days (business days), yeah that had to be in the fine print. If I had known this, I wouldn't have purchased from KATOM in the first place. The Rep I had knew I wouldn't recieve the package on time I heard the hesitancy in his voice, as he continued with pushing the order through. To top it off I would have to pay to send it back and a 25% restocking fee. WOW.... AGAIN Lesson learned.

Equipment did not work as received. They refused to accept a return, even though I called to request a refund within the 30 day return period. Beware - if you buy from KaTom, they will make returning a product and receiving a refund basically impossible.

This company is a SCAM! We have requested directions to return
DEFECTIVE fake titanium cutting boards.
With one use the white coating on ,awfully small board, was falling OFF!
The white coating is toxic and we know will damage our body!As buyers we wanted healthy chopping board. I compare this cutting board toxic weed killer, asbestos, lead paint, cigarettes which all have been proven to cause cancer. And DEATH! The owner woman Brady from Tennessee must be shut down immediately by the Federal Government.

A follow up on my previous review written on July 5th. You have done nothing to address these ads.
Your Katom ads just keep on coming to my distress. on my phone, work t.v., home t.v. and laptop.....endlessly. Another note is your company website shows your ranking at 4.4 and Trustpilot show 1.5, read between the lines. So, why doesn't your company simply shut off these ads, instead of grinding me everyday, Stop, STOP, if for no other reason that they are costing you money that you can't recoup from me. When the ads stop, I will acknowledge as such on Trustpilot, and post a thank you.

Bought a Motak ice maker from them and it showed up dented. I called, sent pics etc and they told me they would address the damage, but a week later, nothing. I plugged the machine in and it wasnt working properly. I called Katom again and they said since I plugged it in I would have to go through the manufacturer for repairs. I am in South Florida nad they gave me a phone # in TN. I called again and got an 800 # that is just VM no no return call. I now have a $1700 ice machine (brand new) that doesn't work. This place is a money grubbingf joke with no suppport after the sale. I reversed the charges on cc, lets see if that gets their attention.

I ordered a sandwich prep fridge online on April 4. I got a notification that shipping would be delayed—that’s fine, I understand these things happen. The fridge finally arrived near the end of April, but unfortunately, it was damaged. I returned it right away with the delivery driver.
After that, things got frustrating. I tried to contact the company through their website form, but got no response. As a restaurant owner, I work odd hours and don’t really get days off—by the time I’m free to call, customer service is already closed.
When I finally reached someone by phone, I explained that English isn’t my first language and tried to keep things simple. The representative told me the product had already been delivered and spoke to me in a tone as if I were lying. I explained that I refused the shipment and offered to provide proof. After putting me on hold, she eventually found a note from the manufacturer confirming the damage.
I was told I’d need to pay a restocking fee, which I was okay with—$300 to $800 is understandable, and I acknowledge that I didn’t notify them immediately.
But what I didn’t expect was only getting $1,731.36 back from a $3,216.91 order. That’s a huge loss. If this is how your return and refund policy works, it should be made much clearer.
I’m very disappointed. The customer service was difficult to reach, unresponsive, and not respectful when I finally did get through. If someone from management reads this, please improve your service. Restaurant owners are busy people, and we rely on clear communication and fair treatment.

I ordered 6 sandwich spreaders and received 6 completely different knives. Given that it two weeks to ship the initial order, I opted for a refund. It's been a week of email reminders requesting a refund or shipping label and they've gone silent. Never again.

The worst experience I had. Place an order, payed online to Katom, but they never place the order even I need to pick up from local factory not need to be delivery. After few days get an email to send proof of adress. Send and still nothing. On weekend I ask to cancel the order and when I call on Monday for make clear what's happening they just being rude. Lauren and Brynn just waist my time and keep money for a week. I talk with Lauren from beginning what I want and I think I was clear but then just excuses. Stay away from Katom Restaurant Supply. Is other guys who are excellent on the market where I purchase and no issues.

I bought a 5000 ice maker from KaTom. It arrived initially in a crushed box. I sent back unopened because the local delivery truck said they would not delivery without pictures of the damage.
So, it took two weeks to hear back from KaTom. They called and said they understood and would send back another unit.
WELL, they did not tell me when it was going to arrive, even though I emailed asking this. The unit showed up when we were out of town. The local place told me they would hold it and then decided not too and sent it back.
As such, KaTom, has now charged me for the second shipping and refunded the balance. I emailed there several times and they have not responded.
Don't trust the product to arrive undamaged and don't trust them to communicate effectively! The screwed me because of THEIR mistakes and shipping company mistakes.

We ordered 4 heat lights from this company for a customer who wanted them installed. We received the items and everything seemed to be going smooth.
We scheduled with our customer to install them and went out to install them. 3 of the 4 were correct. The 4th one was incorrect, it was made to mount differently then the other 3. On March 20,2025 I emailed Katom to let them know about the issue and to request a replacement. I was asked to send pictures of the item as well as the box. Which I did. Their response was that their returns department had deemed the item correct. Well it wasn't correct and the pictures of the unit showed that.
Thats where everything started to go downhill. I couldnt get responses from them. I would call, I would Email Melissa. (Who is ZERO help and never responds) Weeks and weeks go by of me trying to get ahold of them. FINALLY they issue me a return label and the same day we ship the incorrect item back. I see that it was delivered to the address they requested it be shipped back to on 5/7.
I continue to call, I continue to email. No one ever responds. My customer is becoming more and more frustrated with us. Katom doesn't care. They don't respond. Melissa over there is totally worthless.
We finally have to file a charge back on our AMEX card because we don't know when or if we are ever going to get a replacement because there is ZERO communication.
It has now been almost 3 months since we notified them of the incorrect item and as of the day we filed the charge back we have no idea if we were ever going to get a replacement.
We ended up re ordering from a different company today. Hopefully it goes better.
I highly recommend not buying from katom.com. if anything goes wrong you most likely will never get it taken care of. Look at all of the other reviews. I wish I would have checked prior to ordering from them.

I purchased a Edlund ALL STAINLESS STEEL commercial can opener. I paid a premium price because I felt that stainless steel would be best.
Upon using the can opener the very first time I found
metal sparkles in the top of the can once opened.
After my inspection I discovered that the sparkles were the plating material from the can cutter blade. Stainless steel does not have plating or sparkles. It's 100% stainless steel. I contacted katom through email about 5 times and never received any reply. All I want is what I paid for, an all stainless can opener. My other complaint was the mounting bracket. It was installed on a perfectly level bench but the can opener leans to the left instead of straight up and down. The mounting bracket is bent. Again, there was NO REPLY on the bracket replacement either. Needless to say, I will never recommend katom or make another purchase from them and I would advise anyone to purchase from a reputable seller that cares about their customers. Katom treats you like dirt.

Anyone who purchases anything from this website is a fool. Ka Tom in hindi literally translates to "You are a Fool" this website is blatantly a scam website and doesn't even try to hide it. Everything you see listed on the site is overpriced, and over half of the items listed are deceptively listed, usually the actual image of the item does not line up with what the item actually is, with a jacked up inflated price for the item even if it WAS what the image showed it to be. Of those items, if you are still dumb enough to actually order them, there is a 90% chance you wont even get THAT item corresponding with your order. This is not a legitimate website and anyone who claims that it is is a paid associate.

Good place to shop at. Good Customer Service. But let me tell you, when you get that delivery, make sure the product is what you brought. If it isn't, and you took it, these people take a long time to give you your refund. They are very fast at resending you the correct product and even faster at charging again to send the correct product, but are very slow to at rescheduling to pick up the wrong product, and even slower at giving you your refund.
