Terrible company ordered a e30 m3 body shell was in stock on website got confirmation email and tracking details saying it was dispatched. Parcel still hasn’t arrived after 12 days so I contacted L and L models.

I was informed that it was on back order and would have to wait. Really then how did you post it if it’s on back order.

Got several snide responses before he sent a screenshot of item saying it was on pre order on website.

Item may be on pre order now but was very much showing in stock at time of order. The fact he believes people will accept that as legitimate proof is hilarious.

Apparently I am going to get a refund sent me a screenshot that he’s altered on paint app on his phone as proof. He only did this after I pushed him on refund and asked why there’s no confirmation email.

I’m just supposed to take his screenshot as proof yeah I won’t hold my breath on that.

The money is not the issue I was building the car as a birthday present. If he simply informed me the shell was not available I would have just got another shell probably bought some paint for it also.

Luckily I’ve got another shell arriving tomorrow from a reputable company it’s not the car he wanted but better than nothing

If I ever get the refund I’ll give it to charity we’re talking about the grand total of £46.98 here.

If you’re having to scam £46.98 out someone to keep going things must be pretty desperate that is actually pathetic.

Look at the google reviews he’s done this exact same thing to plenty of people a lot of them probably just kids and teenagers wanting to build an rc car.

Terrible company avoid at all cost

I placed a deposit for an RC car in August 2024, scheduled for release in January 2025. When asked to finalise payment in January, I found I couldn’t change the delivery method from pickup to delivery. I emailed and called multiple times to resolve the issue, but no one responded or picked up. Luckily, I paid via PayPal and managed to get my deposit back. Extremely disappointed with their lack of customer support.

Placed a pre-order with L&L. Lee was great, answered the phone when I called for updates and if not he'd call back. Made some changes to some of my order and Lee accommodated without any issues. I received my order on time and it's spot on. Thanks Lee👍👍

Ordered an XJR14 shell and decal set. Upon delivery I noticed there were parts missing that had been clearly listed in the description on there web site. I was told I was wrong even when I sent a screen shot of the listed item on there web site. I decided to obtain the parts elsewhere as I had been waiting a long time for it come back into stock.
Wish I had sent it back!!! After spraying the shell I went to apply the decals (which are an additional cost) and noticed how bad they were. They are more a less transparent with no clear colour, atrocious quality. The white in all the decals is non existent, very very poor quality

The body shells are poor quality massive mold line's dents and inaccurate wheel base. Also my son ordered a can of paint from them and he received no paint and no reply buy from this company at your own risk

Lucky it was only a small part but seems to be the same story as everyone else. Claimed it was sent and he was chasing it up but a week later royal mail tracking still says there expecting it..... Luckily paid with PayPal and received a refund. Id avoid

Poor customer and back up service.

Ordered a Porsche TC993 shell. Stated 258mm wheelbase. Cut out shell and trial fitted to chassis. Didn't fit. Wheelbase was more like 250mm. Unfortunately I have customised tamiya TT01 chassis that does not have reversible suspension arms. Called them and answered phone. Advised to email/WhatsApp pictures. 1 week later no response so chased. Took a couple of attempts to get through. Eventually got through and explained I had cut out shell but told me to send back and he would credit. I am now 3 weeks along does not answer phone or emails. I am now down £50 and have no shell.
You can tell a lot about a company when you have issues. Terrible back up service. I will never buy from them again and advise everyone to do the same.

Iv ordered shells off l&l in the past but on this occasion they sent me the wrong shell out. I got in contact with them on messenger and they said they would sort it waited a week then text again and I just got a yes reply waited again now no reply and my messages won’t go through so Iv been blocked. Terrible service AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Do not buy for this company you email them they don’t get back to you so I sent them a facebook message did come back to me being ignorant saying he cancelled my order, but how could I cancel it when he told me it was sent out last week? Block me on Facebook on messenger thief

Scam artist, I purchased a Porsche body shell 1st of September, someone explain to me how it is now the 29th and FedEX still has yet to receive the parcel to deliver? After contacting the owner via email, Facebook as well as calling the only response I got was that he was on holiday, what sort of response is that???. AVOID AT ALL COST! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY YOU WILL BE ROBBED!!!!

Absolutely shocking...con man! Not even worth 1 star! Doesn't actually send your parcel and doesn't reply to your emails. Customer service is beyond a joke. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

Ordered a sticker set for my RC Car and they arrived packaged nicely and on the next working day. No complaints from me!

i was a bit dubious about using this company after reading the trustpilot reviews, but let me tell you i had no need for worry as after ringing the phone number on the website i spoke directly to the proprietor and whilst actually speaking with him he picked my order which was delivered in a timely fashion, i would have no hesitation in using L & L models again in the future AAAA+++ a real credit to model/hobbyist stores online. I just wish they was closer to manchester

Very poor customer service. 2 emails and 3 texts and over several weeks and no meaningful reply to a very small issue with a part missing item. Will not buy again and do not recommend.

Placed an order on one of their sale days, Got order confirmation but no dispatch details, took 3 days to chase and get a response to be told there was no stock! Item still showing in stock but just got a refund after waiting 6 days. Poor customer service and awful communication. All that was needed is an Email to say there was no stock within a day of ordering, instead I had to waste my time chasing, sending emails and phoning to no avail!

Great shop with quality products. Have a few shells and all very good.

Ordered a bodyshell and it was very low quality had to be modified to fit wasn't worth the money.

Do not use this so called model company, sends out faulty items,, then acuses you of lying, then when you complain becomes very abusive, either me or my clubs will be using this????? Company???? Ever again,
Be warned totally rip offs

Bought a boat from l&l models it arrived with a hole in it I returned for a refund which he did give but would not cover return shipping so left out of pocket on top of this he then contacted me being abusive, I would stay well clear as if you have any issues it will not end well.
