I met Matt through a referral from another hunter in Georgia (U.S.A). Matt kept me informed prior to my arrival in Johannesburg and picked me up from the airport. Excellent hunting and very professional…his knowledge of the game movement and his abilty to predict game movement made me know I was hunting with a real professional hunter. Matt and his staff made me feel like family with personal service. The accommodations were very nice and a slept well in a cozy room despite my “jet lag”. I killed my target animals and made some great memories with some good people. Matt’s wife, Jackie, prepared and cooked all the meals and I was never hungry…it was superb! Matt also helped with getting my “trophies” to a reasonable taxidermist in the local area. I’m already planning my next adventure with Matt in the years to come. Thanks to Matt and all the Likhulu Safaris staff!

What a amazing time for myself and my 14 year old daughter. She has wanted to be in conservation since she was five. She learned so much on a different side of conservation. She learned what it took to keep a herd healty by hunting the mature males to allow the younger ones to step up making the herd health grow as well as their numbers. She learned a totally different style of hunting that is nor done where we are from in the states. I cannot thank everyone enough for everything they did for us. If you have never been to Africa I would suggest you go it is life changing. Matt and his team are amazing we arrived as acquaintances and left as family. Matt did not hide anything from us from what we may and may not see or do. There was no hidden fees. If anything what we were expecting was exceeded 10 fold. My family cannot wait for our next trip. It was an experience that I will never forget! Absolutely fantastic. The amount of animals, the guides were extraordinary, the staff, food, and accommodation were beyond expectations. The PH instruction, encouragement, and selection of game were perfect, I must say they made me feel welcome and accepted. I enjoyed this immensely, and I wasn't even going to hunt at first. In the end harvested 2 animals (Sable & Springbok), both with single shots. I can hardly wait to tell my friends (Brag my ass off). Thanks again Matt, Jen, and Trudy! These memories will last forever all of them! The photos are really good too. 😁

This was our first visit to Africa and we decided to do a hunt. Matt delivered an exceptional experience with the help of his crew. Matt was straight forward, have us enough information that our hunt met every expectation. Being a bit unversed in African animals he explained well what we were looking for in a trophy. We didn't just shoot the first animal we seen, we hunted proper.

2 friends and I booked a safari with Matt @ Likhulu Safaris. None of us had ever been to Africa so we were not sure what to expect going in. Matt helped us plan and gave us options telling us the pros and cons of each. We found his information to be spot on! He and his team did everything they could to make our trip successful. We felt safe and taken care of the entire time. Matt and his teams attention to detail was second to none. They were attentive and very communicative throughout our trip. What a wonderful safari we had with Likhulu .
Matt, kelvin ,Edward and the crew were exceptional . The accommodations were top notch and food was great . From the minute we landed until the time we left we felt safe and were well taken care of .
All three of us on the safari were able to harvest all the animals we set out to hunt and even few more . My hats off to Matt's crew for getting us in close to ensure a good ethical shot , with 100 % success rate . We have already booked for next year and cannot wait to return . Our Likhulu safari left a lasting impression with all of us and memories that will last forever .

Likhulu Safaris was a wonderful experience!! Matt and the staff were so professional and great to be around. Knew all the best hunting spots ( and we got every animal we had planned for and places to see the animals we weren't even hunting for just to be able to see them "in the wild"! The accommodations were very comfortable and the meals were exceptional! All of the staff were very friendly! It was truly a once in a lifetime experience! Highly recommend!!

I have shared many camp fires with Matt and his team. Best place to be if you are looking for an experience of a life time. I have hunted Plains game with Likhulu Safaris in Limpopo and Freestate. Shot a lot of pigeons and doves close to Johannesburg and in Welcom areas. Everything has been top class and the food is absolutely excellent.

My experiences hunting with Matt and crew at Likhulu Safaris was TOP NOTCH! I have been on an upland bird and waterfowl hunt in the Free State, and a big game hunt in Limpopo with Matt. Both were experiences of a lifetime. Their knowledge of the country and game, clean and comfortable camps, amazing meals and feeling of being a part of the Likhulu family instead of just another client was way beyond my expectations. I will return and hunt with Matt again!

What’s the difference between this Safari Company and all of the others? Love. For the animals, for the hunting traditions of old, for the camaraderie around a simple camp fire, and a husband and wife leading a team that does everything in their power to make the experience life changing. From getting busted by zebras while still hunting to hunting wildebeest from termite mounds, to the constant smoking zebra poop…you’ll never want to leave.

I have hunted with Likhulu on several occasions. Their service has always been top notch. The hunting opportunities were excellent and the country was beautiful. Their staff as well as the owners were friendly and top notch!

Likhulu safaris does it right. Matt and his staff make each safari to your specific wants and needs. They are very accommodating and focus on the details throughout your time there. Even with my dad being slightly disabled, he had the best time and was well taken care of. We will be back.

Vi startede som novicer i jagt, men under Matts kyndige vejledning lærte vi en masse både om naturbevarelse og om naturen. Vi lærte meget om at følge spor, bemærke de små detaljer og snige os gennem landskabet. Jagt er så meget mere end bare at skyde et dyr. Som biolog påskønner jeg et firma, hvis primære fokus er at fremme en god bestand. Jeg fik skudt min første Zebra, Impala og Blesbuck. Jeg giver Likhulu Safari mine varmeste anbefalinger!

Just returned home from safari with Matt and his team at Likhulu Safaris.
We spend five days at the lodge with really exiting hunting and the focus was on the stalk it self, ending with a clean and respectful death of the animal. Matt did an amazing job to make every hunt so close to my expectations as possible, we had debriefing shortly after we returned back to camp to evaluate and if necessary change setup.
The accommodation was in a league for itself, food was excellent and very delicious.
House keeping - amazing.
PH in the team(Eduard, Matt and Ryno) was the best I ever worked with, all eager to share their huge knowledge about hunting and the bushveld itself - THANK YOU GUYS.
Trackers and skinners were highly professional.
