Cotoneaster x watereri - Cotoneaster Tree - Mix and Match Reviews

Cotoneaster x watereri is a delightful semi-evergreen tree that is well loved for its bright red berries and matt green leaves. Gardeners adore its arching branches and year-round displays. Cotoneaster x watereri makes a stunning addition as a specimen tree, hedge, or mixed border plant. During early summer, Cotoneaster x watereri produces beautiful, white/pale pink flowers that bees and other pollinators adore. Then, come autumn time, this tree really springs into life. The flowers give way to the rich, bright red berries that stay on the branches all the way into winter. The berries are a valuable food source for birds during the colder months. Plus, the arching branches glistening with red berries in autumn is quite beautiful. Cotoneaster x watereri has a bushy, upright habit, making it a perfect addition to a wildlife friendly garden. Watch as your garden becomes a busy, buzzing haven for all kinds of nature. The leaves are semi-evergreen, which means that the green displays maintain throughout most of winter, before shedding some foliage in colder conditions. We recommend positioning Cotoneaster x watereri in full sun or partial shade and planting it in well-drained soil. At maturity, Cotoneaster x watereri will reach a height of around 4-5 metres with a similar spread. This size makes it an ideal choice for small to medium sized gardens. It is easy to care for and fairly low maintenance. Cotoneaster x watereri requires only occasional pruning to keep its shape. Add this beautiful tree to your landscape and watch as it attracts wildlife. Enjoy the bright red berries and arching displays for years to come.
