Faulty packaging!
I believe the products are good, but for some reason everytime I get on a flight with these products they explode!
They have faulty packaging. Otherwise they are good. My leather perfume got lost in cause of this.
Fragrance Discovery Kit
I ordered the Fragrance Discovery Kit. The item arrive quickly but on opening the packaging there were no products - should have been 6 vials of sample fragrances. I immediately tried to contact M & G - the one help line published on their web site 020 3585 1922 came up "number not recognised" on the other help line a pre recorded voice message advised me to e-mail my complaint to them. Two e-mails subsequently sent over a period of a week and no reply.
I've always considered that how a company reacts when things go wrong (which things do occasionally) to be a good indicator as to the integrity, reliability and honesty of that organisation and ultimately my wish to continue to do more business with them
I know its only a small value item but I'm disgusted with the contempt this organisation has shown me and looking at other reviews below, others have experienced. I wished I'd read those reviews first.
Terrible experience
I visited the Spitalfields shop today. I live in Wales, so don't visit often, but when I do I always buy several products. Usually the assistants are welcoming and helpful and enthusiastic about products. Today was different. The male assistant was totally uninterested to the point of being rude. I asked about the shampoos, he just said, "we have those two there" then walked away. I had a similar experience when I asked a question about body lotions. M&G products are not inexpensive, but you believe that besides the product, you are also buying into the, "feel good factor" and the whole experience in the shop is a pleasant one. Not the case today. He never engaged, never smiled and didn't say goodbye when I left, (I was the only customer in the shop). I left the shop just buying 1 product, and went around the corner to The Ordinary, where I bought several products, similar to those I would have bought in M& G. The male assistant needs to understand that without customers, he has no job. M&G lost a customer today.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service, contacted regarding an issue with the holiday gift set that was purchased as a gift for me and I found was not throwing off much scent. They weren’t interested as the batch code didn’t line up to one they have sold directly and must’ve been purchased elsewhere.
The company doesn’t stand by their own products which leaves a sour taste. A shame as I have been a frequent buyer of their large candles but I don’t think I can support a brand who couldn’t care less about their customers experience.

Thieves. Took money 2 months ago. No product shipped. Tracking number not valid. Typical Quebec company. Dishonest. Stay away.
No show on products..!
Ordered a candle, some moisturiser and two different washes for a Christmas gift. Box turned up with no products in on Christmas Day. Customer service woeful and claimed computer error, no acceptance taken.. plenty of competitors around offering a better all round service.
Great Clean Products
Great Clean Products! The facial moisturizer is my favorite - absorbs into the skin and does not leave a greasy feeling. I wish they made a body lotion out of this formula!
Questionable Customer Support Behaviour
I have been a regular ("VIP level") customer and have spent a fair share of my cash on MG products. Have been leaving positive reviews on the website all along the way. My last couple of reviews happened to be negative (but objective), as I was not happy with the quality of several products I purchased. These reviews were not appearing on the website and got published only after I queried their absence with Customer Service. Following that, I politely asked for an explanation as to why my reviews did not appear right away (as my previous positive ones did), but my email was unanswered. Waited several weeks, nudged them for a reply, but was blanked again. Shady behaviour, in my opinion. Rather unexpected. Put me off completely, so I will not be returning as a customer. Grateful for the good times we had, though.
Great products and customer service
The items I have purchased from M & G have all been great, with the exception of the leather candle, which was OK. I've had reason to contact customer services a few times recently and they have been outstanding.
First breakout in years
Although I can see newer reviews, my review does not show on the M+G website so I thought I would post it here:
After using the SPF 30 sunscreen for a couple of years and finding that it worked well on my skin, I was sold on M+G‘s messaging on providing high quality, gimmick-free products and decided I would gradually simplify my skincare routine by using M+G products only.
A day after using the grapefruit cleanser I had my worst acne breakout in years - the only difference being that I have never broken out as much before. I had almost forgotten that I had sensitive skin until last week. A week later and I am left with acne scars, itchiness and irritation. This is far from what I expected and unfortunately I will avoid other M+G products out of caution.
For the record, I have oily and sensitive skin.
Not very good
Not very good. Would suggest try companies that are actually good at what they are doing and not just expensive. Bought a few products that do not work at all, like the deodorant. Completely pointless.
I decided to try this brand and ordered…
I decided to try this brand and ordered a lip balm for the beginning, it was a good opportunity to try other products with 3 free samples. Well this experience was quite poor as they stated one sizes in an email but in reality, they are 10 mo (instead of 30ml stated in the email). Customer service is not the best either! Instead of correcting the “error” and sending a new email saying “sorry it's been an error in our previous email, please ignore it” they left it as it is. When I asked them why I received the smaller size than stated they just replied below:
“This was unfortunately a spellchecking error, as you can see in the email there are both vitamin e face moisturizer 10ml (the second line) and vitamin e face moisturizer 30ml.
The 30ml is a mistake, as you can see everything else is 10ml too, we do not have a 30ml sample as a choice.”
In my opinion, it's not fair for the customers, to create an attractive offer to make them place orders and send something else instead.

Customer Service Non-Existant, product never delivered and lost my money, no response
I've used the products before and quite like them despite them being overly priced. However I ordered from their website and I think my order never shipped, I never got any tracking information and having left a million contact request forms, emails and voice messages and have gotten no response at all. I basically have just lost $63 for nothing.
Worth every cent.
I'm extremely picky when it comes to my skin, especially my face.
I swear by the Advanced renewal moisturizer. It's lightweight and really makes my skin feel soft and supple.
I just called the Chelsea store for a shipment and Nicole was very helpful.

I have been using Malin+Goetz products for years. Always pleased with the quality. Love that my husnabd and I use the same products- totally works for everyone in the house. Shipping in the U.S is fast and usually free.
Nice products, hopeless customer service.
Nice product but totally hopeless customer service. They did not respond to any email communication for over a week. I was simply asking information about the order being ready for despatching as it was still pending after 5 days. Still no response, thankfully the order has been eventually despatched, maybe it will arrive.
BEST SMELLING PERFUME EVER
BEST SMELLING PERFUME EVER. First purchased the Dark Rum Perfume Oil from a boutique near my house and was completely obsessed. It was $50 for a little travel sized bottle but completely worth every penny. The smell stays on your skin for SO LONG and I constantly get compliments on it. Just purchased the larger bottle because i finally ran out of the roller ball and can't wait for it to get here!!
Disappointing experience
Usually have no issues with Malin and Goetz UK but really disappointed with their online service recently. If you have any issues with your order, they just ignore you. They don't respond to emails or telephone calls. For a so called premium brand, the service is far from premium.
Don't bother. Terrible.
Bought item, changed mind, asked for it to be cancelled, ignored. Asked for it to be cancelled again, ignored. Then received email saying item had been dispatched. Don't purchase from this company, they will just ignore your emails if there is a problem. I give up. Is that a business you are running there? Or do you just like bad reviews?!!!
