The dress that arrived after a very long time was very, very cheaply made and not of the quality that was shown. Packaging was a small plastic bag from a foriegn country; not in a box as is shown in their online photos. Returns were to be "easy". They were not. They responded with several very nice notes from Greeneville (but no return address) with offers of credits, etc. They never offered a bank credit.
I got suspicious and contacted my bank. USAA got involved. Very soon after that, I got a credit on my bank account from "WHOP*MARGOTANDIVY SHERIDAN WY". I believe that this business is FRAUDULENT.

I experienced the identical things that the majority of reviewers experienced. Bait and switch with the dress I received being basically the style of a potato sack. An offer from good ole “Margot Whitaker” for a 30 percent refund and return the item to China. I’m going to try disputing the charge with my credit card company.

This is not from a boutique store in Greenville, S.C. There is no such store there. It’s a scam shop with clothes made in China, mailed from China, no tag on clothing or label in clothing. If you send it back, you are told to mail back to an address in China, and would have to pay to return. And it was going to cost me more to ship back than my dress cost. The employee at the P.O. looked at my address on my package I was going to send back & said, “Oh, you are going to be here awhile”, gave me all kind of paper work to fill out, and he said it still might not get back. He said they know by doing this, it will discourage you from sending back. The dress was very see thru thin, cheap itchy-like material.I didn’t send it because I would be out even more money, and chances are that I would not get a refund. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ONLINE STOREFRONT. IT DOES NOT EXIST. I wished I had done my homework & researched this so-calked business. According to Google, this is a classic “bait-and -switch” scam. The pics seen on their website are stolen images,and the clothing images we see online are mass-produced items from oversees, China. This review does not even deserve a star.

The products did not fit. I want a full refund but shipping is back to China. I thought I was dealing with a company in South Carolina. Buyer beware.

I needed to make a return and Margot was so very helpful and kind in helping me find a solution. It’s people like her who give you a good feeling about the company. I appreciated it so much.

The quality of these clothes are appalling. Avoid this website completely. The clothes get shipped from the address of doris yasfbara , 9208 charles smith ave, rancho cucamonga CA (a real city) not from the Greenville, NC listed on their website. The website also states they are a mother-daughter team with this store in existence for 20 years. Only problem is that if you search for the store in a map app, you come up with nothing. Run, do not walk, away from this scam.

Poor quality, inaccurate sizing. XL IS TOO SMALL, L IS TOO BIG. Took 2 weeks to ship and put items right in the donation bin. $100.+ wasted. Suspect this site is a sham.

Items are shipped from China, very poor quality and they do not honor their advertised 100% money back guarantee, no questions asked. Emails back and forth with them for return, they offer 10% refund or 75% store credit. They do not exist as their website says as a botique in Greenville, SC.

I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered from them.
My suggestion is to stay away from ordering from this company. I received the product and need to return it and I sent 4 emails with no response.

Zero stars! This company is a scam don’t waste your money. There is no quality to the products and they refuse to refund or give info for returns. I’m contacting my bank to reverse the payment .

Total scam company! Poor quality, refunds do not exist and a person will just go around and around in a frustrating circle. They are working out of China and have a VERY polished scam setup. It is not a "mother/daughter" company at all. Avoid this company at all costs!

I bought two items from Margot and Ivy after seeing them advertised on Facebook. I even checked out their website and saw that they ostensibly had a retail outlet in Greenville. Their website was very professional and polished. The pictures of the garments were beautiful. It took three weeks to get my purchase and when I opened the bag, the clothes were incredibly low quality, cheaply made and sized strangely totally not anything I would wear and I certainly would not pay the price that I paid for something like this when I asked for a refund they offered me 10% their website said that if you contacted them and send pictures that you could get a refund. That is not the case. The vendor is a scam.

These scammers are AKA Margo & Ivy, one and the same as the above web address. The name of the scammers is Margo & Ivy, don't know why it changed.Total scammer & any 3-5 reviews are fake, wish I could give them a 0. They are not in Greenville & ob0viously haven't been in business as they claim...the pictures on their site are stolen & the clothes are shoddy fabric, substituted by different prints & not made the same as pictures. I'm mad at myself for falling for it and at premium prices. These clothes are from China because that's what I got when I squawked at them enough...don't do it. You would do better at a dollar store. Don't try to do an exchange or get your money back, just call it gone and write as many bad reviews as you can. I'm afraid to order anything on line now because it's infested with scam roaches!

This company is a scam from china. There is no brick and mortar store. The clothes are shipped from china. The material is nothing as described. There is no cotton in the dresses at all.

The two dresses I ordered were too small. They are also poorly constructed out of flimsy polyester fabric. I asked to return them and be credited. Upon the 4th correspondence with Greenville, SC, I was instructed to return them to CHINA! and pay for postage as well. Just NO! Do not buy from this scam of a business. I will donate the dresses and take the loss. Lesson learned.

The merchandise I received only vaguely resembles that pictured on the website. The colors are roughly similar, but the patterns are completely different. The fabric is some type of slick, cheap synthetic that feels rubbery. And everything is cut too small so it is unwearable. This junk took weeks to arrive because — although the company tries to portray itself as a family owned storefront in North Carolina — it’s actually in China. COMPLETE SCAM!

This I feel is a fraudulent vendor. Their website and Facebook page show their site as located in Greenville SC. The quality of their clothes are way beyond satisfactory…I ordered a dress and would absolutely be embarrassed to wear it. It looked like a nightgown. Also if you ask to return you have to ship to China at your own expense and it has to arrive within 30 days, be returned in the same packaging and fill out a return questionnaire. Don’t, don’t order from this site or it my feeling you will be throwing your money away. If I could I would give them 5 negative stars as they don’t deserve even one.

I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. The dress I received looked nothing like the one that was advertised. The fabric was very cheap, the stitching was poor, and the overall quality was far below what I expected.

The company appeared to be a boutique located in Greenville, South Carolina, but after placing my order I learned the item was actually shipped from China. That was not what I expected when I made the purchase.

When I contacted customer service to return the dress, they provided a return address in China, making a return impractical. They then offered only a 20% refund if I kept the dress and refused to offer a more reasonable solution despite my requests.

Based on my experience, the product did not match the advertising, and the return process was very disappointing. I would not purchase from this seller again and encourage others to research the company carefully before ordering.

Margot & Ivy is a fake store front said to be in Greenville SC for 20 years. No store in in Greenville SC. It is online only and they have a nice website that shows beautiful clothes, beautiful people and a gorgeous store front. None of this is true. I ordered an outfit and it came but it was made out of what looked like parachute material. The colors did not match and the sizing was way off. I tried to get their “no hassle refund” but it was a total hassle and they only offered a small percentage of the value or an online coupon for 100%. I texted back and forth many times and it was exasperating. I would have had to return it to China. Therefore it would not be cost effective and I don’t want to do business with them again. So I’m out $69.95 and lesson learned even though I checked them out prior to ordering. Next time I will look at the Better Business Bureau and Trust Pilot. I hope this saves someone else from this issue.
