Great mattress, we’ve had 2 now but they loaded it onto the wrong van on day of delivery so we had to take a day off work the following day to wait for it.

Dont make the same mistake I did!
Do not purchase from MattressNextDay. I failed to check prior as I assumed every company had to offer an obligatory 30 day returns policy, turns out they do not. You have to make up your mind within 14 days and when you’re dealing with an item such as a mattress that requires a settling in period, body adjustment etc it just isn’t enough time. I’m now £399 down and back to searching for an additional mattress.

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your purchase, however, we would like to clarify the position regarding returns and consumer rights.
There is not a legal requirement for every retailer to offer a 30-day change-of-mind returns policy. For online purchases, the statutory cooling-off period is generally 14 days, subject to the applicable Consumer Contracts Regulations and any relevant exceptions. A retailer can choose to offer a longer returns period, but this is not an obligatory 30-day requirement.
Importantly, the 14-day cooling-off period is separate from your statutory rights if the product is faulty. Under the Consumer Rights Act, goods must be satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a mattress is genuinely faulty, different remedies can apply, including repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances and when the fault is reported.
We clearly set out our returns policy and applicable terms before purchase, and we always aim to deal with customers fairly and in accordance with their statutory rights.
We appreciate that buying a mattress is a personal decision and that customers may need time to determine whether it is right for them. However, a change of mind is different from a product being faulty, and consumer law does not give an automatic right to return an otherwise satisfactory, used mattress simply because it is not comfortable or suitable.
We’re sorry that the mattress did not meet your expectations and wish you the best with finding a mattress that is right for you.

Trusted the reviews, big mistake
Trusted the reviews, big mistake. To start with mattress next day!? Wait 7-10 days delivery on most items. 5 weeks after delivery base material of my new mattress ripped out of stitching, whilst turning it, clearly a fault, material edge was not locked with stitching or tape, and may even be too short. Contact them, was told doesn't usually take long. Send photos, no reply. Emailed, no reply. Phoned 2 weeks later, oh the job was allocated to a person, she's on holidays. Will get back to you in a day or 2. No, no reply. Phoned again, oh she's on holiday(2nd person) and we're short staffed. In between hypnos apparently asked twice for more photos, how many photos of a mattress??? Eventually I got somewhere after getting advice from consumer helpline. This company, like sadly so many others, has rewritten consumer law. 30 days after delivery you CAN return with full refund, your contact and contract is with your trader, and only them. 6 months after delivery you CAN expect them to collect and refund if the item is cleary not up to standard or faulty. No matter if it was used or not. Their "can't return if used" is not enforceable, then, they'd have to ask you to sign and agree to it for a start. And your contract's with them. They tried to phob me off with need to speak with hypnos. Today, 26 August 2026, the mattress was finally collected. Even that was messed up. Got email from them collection organised and booked for next Tuesday. When confirmation came from AIT it said Wednesday. Questioning it was told oh they are only in your area Monday Wednesday and Friday. 🙈 So now a weeks wait to get my money credited and then a new mattress bought. Thanks mattress next day.
Interesting, only was all completed yesterday and yet they want more info. They must have a lot of faulty hypnos mattresses in Wales! And returns for that matter
I think i rattled somebodies cage! It even says on their website that they will not take a used mattress back and I had to write an official email for the mattress patch up was changed to replace or refund.
As to delivery, a hand made mattress from hypnos takes 3 to 5 days. The label on that mattress said June '26. I ordered 7th, a Sunday, it was delivered Friday morning the same week, there wouldn't have been time to make a brand new mattress, deliver it to MND and then to AIT and to west Wales.
Oh and it was Lisa, the person who replied to my review, who told me the mattress will be collected Tuesday!
Just had a look after ordering a new mattress elsewhere. All Hypnos mattresses are now for delivery for next day, so much for made to order. Interesting too, the one I did buy was rrp of about £1100 and I bought it for £779 ish in June. Now, August, it's rrp is around 800 but for sale just over 500.

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry you were unhappy with your experience, but we would like to clarify a few points for the benefit of other customers.
Hypnos mattresses are handmade to order, which is why delivery times can be longer than standard stocked products. The manufacturing process can therefore affect the delivery timeframe.
We also want to reassure customers that we follow UK consumer law and do not seek to override customers’ statutory rights. A mattress cannot ordinarily be returned simply because it has been used. However, where a product is deemed to be faulty, customers have statutory rights and we will deal with the matter in accordance with those rights.
Where a fault is reported within the first 30 days, depending on the circumstances and the customer’s chosen remedy, this may include repair, replacement or refund. After the first 30 days, where a fault is established, the appropriate remedy will be offered in accordance with the customer’s statutory rights.
In this case, the return was agreed and the mattress was collected on 26 August 2026. The refund was processed on the day of collection. Please note that, once processed, refunds can take 5–10 working days from the collection/return date to appear in the customer’s account, depending on the payment provider and banking process. No further information or photographs were required after collection.
We also work closely with Hypnos, as the manufacturer, where appropriate. Hypnos provides the relevant warranty/guarantee support and specialist technical advice on its products. Seeking their expertise is part of ensuring that reported issues are assessed correctly and that the appropriate resolution is reached. This does not remove or replace the customer’s statutory rights with the retailer.
We hope this clarifies the position and provides a more accurate account of the outcome.

Received Emma original elite mattress on 22/8/26.Delivery was fine two very polite and accommodating men from taking old mattress and putting new one were we wanted it.
Unboxing was easy slept on it that night. Chemical smell was a bit strong. Stripped bedding off next day to air, removed top cover and hung outside all day. Smell gradually dissapating. Mattress is a bit firm but getting use to it. Overall a good product and service from this company would highly recommend.

Whats not to like.
I did a lot, and I do mean a lot, of research.
The price was the cheapest I could find for the mattress I chose. Ordering and payment was straight forward. Communication prior to delivery was excellent, as was the delivery itself. Overall faultless. I would not hesitate to use them again.
